After 29 years, I finally got my ears pierced! Since it's my first time, I did some research at different jeweler stores and on Yelps and found this place. The lady who helped me was caring and very careful after I explained that this is my first experience. She got it done fast and nearly painless. She also taught me how to care for the ears and showed me how to do it.
Comparing to other places like jeweler stores, I believe Claire's is much skillful as they have more practical experience with their customer population: teens. They are also cheaper with a variety of choices for your first pair of earrings. If you want to get your/ your kids' ears pierced, this is one of the best places to do it.
Also, you will be much prepared if you check out their website for ear piercing information before you go!
Shouldn't there be a minimum age for ear piercing? I watched a baby that looked like it was only 2 days old get her ears pierced here. Way to go parents and Claires for promoting a pain inflicting procedure in a baby. I don't understand the necessity or reason behind punching holes in your new born. Go for a belly piercing too while you're at it.

Came here with another Yelper to get mah little friend's ears pierced. Two people pierced both ears simultaneously and made the event less tragic. It went as smooth as can be imagined. My only issue is that I wish they had a bit more selection. The white gold with pink flower was her choice.
So, three months later and no issues, thanks to the care package they gave. She loves the earings and sports them around her school. Apparently, little girls like this stuff very early on. She is only 3 and had already been bugging me about getting her ears pierced.
Claires, Brea.. Another reason the OC is the best place to live!
I saw a cute little girl getting her ears pierced here.
She was so excited and couldn't wait to get earrings. Â She climbed to the seat and was a little scared. Â The lady @ the store gave her a teddy bear and told her to hug the bear. Â Her dad said not to cry and she would get delicious cupcakes.
Two ladies worked on her two little ears. Â It was pretty quick and the little girl cried. Â She stopped crying when her dad gave her a hug. Â The dad cleaned her ears with alcohol sanitizer thing.
Now the little girl looks so pretty with the pink flower earrings she picked herself.
Claire's Boutiques...another reason to live in OC.
I got my upper ear (cartilage) pierced here a few days ago. It didn't hurt as much as I expected it to, and it looks great! The girl who pierced me was super nice. I just wish that they had a larger selection of jewelry to choose from, such as rings. It's also unfortunate that they aren't able to accept any tips for piercing.
