I had a horrible experience. I didn't know any better though because it was my first body piercing and I didn't shop around or anything. The only reason I came here was because its the only tattoo and piercing place I had seen in my area. My piercing got infected and it took a year to heal. The guy who pierced it didn't explain to me how to properly take care of it.

Save yourself the trouble as far as body piercing goes.
I got my lip done about two years ago and it had healing issues because I was pierced with a 16 gauge needle(1.2mm) which is ideal and given a 1mm stud. Which if you know math is not ideal, that is smaller than the hole that was made. I also paid $45 for my lip piercing where a year later I paid $30 at King of Spades. My piercer seemed totally stoned/wasted. I should have just walked out then but I wanted my piercing done and that was that. Well later that night, it hurt like a mf. Turns out the bar was too short (1/4 in.) Where as what I needed was a 3/8 because I have a thick lip. I called and asked if it was normal for my piercing to be sinking on BOTH ends because I was new to piercings. Yea no. It's not and I'm upset that they said that yes it's normal. Because it's not lmao...
Get this, I thought maybe I would get another lip piercing with them a year later thinking they shaped up. I called them at 12pm and made an appointment for a piercing at 3:30pm that same day. Well I get there and they tell me they have no jewelry.... I was pissed but left thinking about how much a waste of space they are next to the antique shop. But as I was walking to my car I catch one of the guys finishing up what looked to be a drug deal. Ridiculous, don't waste your time hit up King of Spades about a mile or two farther down Foothill. King of Spades being where I went that second time and came back with my Sister for her lip piercing and my nose piercing.

As far as tattoo shops go, this place is real simple and basic. Very clean shop but really basic. As far as artists go, go see BRIAN! This dude is amazing! His skill set is second to none, and his patience and attitude exceeds all expectations! He specializes in black and gray. But can do just about anything! He has done my whole right arm and will be doing my left sleeve as well. After working with brian don't think I would get a tattoo from anyone else. Well unless I could get one from corey miller. If you are looking for really spectacular work make sure you talk to brian. You will definately be glad you did!

"There is no excuse for bad tattoos"

Apparently, the folks at Claremont Tattoo have never heard of this.

I had a great tattoo idea for my first real tattoo.
I went to Claremont Tattoo to have it permanently embedded into my skin.
The session was great, the artist was great, the aftercare instructions sucked. It scarred, it faded, it looked like $hit. I went in to have it looked at and possibly retouched. I was told by some barely-able-to-drink-legally douchenozzle that it would be $125 to retouch (before I even showed them the work, mind you).

The results from Claremont Tattoo were a disppointment in every conceivable way.
