I've had an Industrial Bar, a surface piercing and a tattoo from this location.
The Industrail Bar hurt like *WHOA* for about the first year - but since it finally healed, it's perfect. It's my favorite piercing.
The surface piercing hardly lasted two months. It was angry and red the entire time.
No fault to Headrick, the piercer - who took care of me multiple times to try and save the piercing. It was in a bad spot --- he tried to talk me into a dermal anchor, but I wasn't ready for that kind of commitment yet. Â After finally removing the piercing for me, even gave me a "hook up" or 50% discount on dermal anchors once it healed (I never used it!)
The Tattoo... is fine. I've put on a crap ton of weight, so It's sort of sucks now - but that's my fault. Â I can't recall the guy who did it - but he was sort of arrogant but I was an 18 year old snot getting a tramp stamp so yeah.
So It's a pretty clean, consistent, and a pretty good deal.
I had gotten pierced at this location before and had a great time. The piercer, Frank, was very nice and joked a lot.
The second (and last) time I went was just yesterday, with my friend and our boyfriends, to get our navels pierced. Just like the last time, we got Frank, and the price wasn't bad either ($40 for a navel). He was very nice: he took his time, told us what he was doing throughout, and gave us a lot of info on cleaning.
I'd like to say that we left that night happy. Maybe if we had left quicker, I would like to go back there. We were standing outside, chatting, when the piercer (Frank) comes back outside and hands my boyfriend some change and says, "I wanna give this back to you because I know it was you that tipped it. It's actually kind of insulting." And he walks right back into the shop. It happened so fast I was wondering whether it had really happened.
Now I will say right now that I had no idea there WAS a tip jar. But apparently my boyfriend noticed and dropped some coins in there. I will also say that he has been without a job for five months now, so really... that was all the money in his possession. I thought it was kind of him to give this artist the last of his money. Apparently not.
This is why I will never go back there. You don't see charity organizations rejecting money that people give out of the kindness of their hearts, "What is that? A QUARTER? Get outta here!" No. So while a tattoo parlor is NOTHING like a charity (so they really don't need to ask for tips), there's no need to reject money. Ever. Money is money, right? What is his threshold for tips? What is acceptable? Â "I'm an artist, so no tip less than five dollars will please me!"
I'm telling you this because a person that unprofessional probably shouldn't be trusted to pierce a part of your body. Â I know I won't.
Went in again this weekend and saw Headrick for the third time. I had lost one of my tragus earrings and needed it replaced. He did so in no time, taking extra care to make sure the piece would fit securely. Chatted happily with my friend and I while I picked out my jewelry. Can't recommend him highly enough! Such a nice guy.
Review Source:I decided to go with my friend Kristin to get my navel pierced. We went on a Friday afternoon and luckily we got there just before this big group of people walked in who also wanted piercings. When I walked inside it seemed a little warm but maybe I was just nervous. Anyways the lady at the counter greeted me with a smile and was very welcoming. It was $40 including the jewelry which is very reasonable, i think. They had a nice but limited selection of rings. I was taken back to a room with the piercer, Frank. He was a very friendly and very experienced so I felt comfortable. He took his time marking me which is what I appreciated. He made the experience of getting pierced very relaxing. The only thing I didn't like was that he didn't really take the time to show me how to clean it. He just told me to use antibacterial soap and to wait about 6 months before changing the ring.
Overall I walked away very happy with the end result and if I ever get another piercing I'll probably go back to Frank :)
I did not get a tattoo here. I needed H20cean so I stopped by really quick. I wanted to write a review because I really appreciated when the two gentleman smoking cigarettes (I'm assuming they were tattoo artists) opened the door for me as I was walking in. I have to be honest. When I first heard of Club Tattoo I was a little apprehensive. A "chain" tattoo shop? I'm happy to report that both of the locations I have been into to get pierced or purchase something have been fantastic. I wish I had checked them out sooner. I will definitely come back here to get tattooed or pierced in the future.
Review Source:i got my first ever tattoo done from here...CJ Hurtado was the artist and i luved what he did..i had a concept on mind when i went there for the first time...CJ Hurtado listened to me patiently and he said h wud draw up some sketches for me ..a week later when i was back for my appointment , CJ made 2 more changes based on my feedback and we were good to go..It tuk about 1.5 hrs and i luv luv my tattoo...
Pros-
1. Very neat
2. private rooms
3. You will feel much better that you would have going to a tattoo place and having to sit outside where the whole world can watch you
COns -
1. Expensive - Â i paid $ 250. I think i cud have paid less. The tell you the price before doing the tattoo based on what the artist thunks it wud take..I felt my tattoo turned out smaller and tuk much lesser time
2. They make you pay an advance for the artist to actually draw up something..i had to pay $ 50
I love Club Tattoo. I get all my body jewelry and piercings. Their piercers, Frank and Head are great. I would recommend Club Tattoo to anyone that is looking for a place to get tattooed or pierced. All the staff members are friendly, kind and very helpful. Plus they give out free stickers and monsters.
Review Source:I will never go back.
My first tattoo from Club Tattoo was in 2005 right after my mom died. I wanted a butterfly on my foot with her initials. I don't regret what I got, but the artist quickly drew something up and put it on me. It's one dimensional, there was no effort or thought put into it, and he worked quickly.
A week later I was in Urgent Care with a staph infection in my foot. I took a round of serious antibiotics and tried not to blame them thinking I could have been responsible for not taking proper care of my tattoo. Now I look back and wonder who's fault it really was.
A year later another artist touched up my tat since the original artist no longer worked there for free- which was nice of him. It looks ok now, but wish I had a much prettier butterfly on my foot.
Then in 2008 I went again for a wrist tattoo. I wanted it in white ink. The artist argued not to do it, but it was for a cousin who had just passed away who had hers in white & it looked great on her. He finally agreed and he did it quickly. He was not very friendly and I should have questioned it at that time. Despite CT offering free touchups for life, they never ONCE returned my phone calls and emails asking for a touchup so I had to go elsewhere.
Expensive, impersonal, & questionable quality. If you are going to put something on your body forever, think LONG & HARD about who you want to do it.
I think this place is great. Â I've gotten 2 out of my 3 Tattoo's here and would tell anyone looking to get some done that this is the place to go.
It's super clean, you get a private room to get your art done, everyone is super friendly and welcoming and all the artists that work here have to have had at least 2 years experience prior to being an employee. Â
I personally see Trini, he is awesome. Â He has been doing this for 18 years and is super calm and good natured so he puts you at complete ease before and during your piece. Â My tattoo's have both healed (he didn't do my first one) wonderfully and were done with the most amount of patience for me and consideration.
Want to get some Ink done-go here.
Several months ago, I competed in my first Ironman. Â For those of you who don't know, it's a race consisting of a 2.4 mile swim, 112 mile bike, and 26.2 mile run. Â It's tough. Â It took me 9 months of blood, sweat, and tears (literally) to train. Â It's kind of a big deal. Â
Anywho.... I asked one of my Ironman friends for a recommendation and she sent me here. Â I came in on a Thursday and was welcomed and greeted right away. Â Points for this, since I don't have black hair or lots of piercings/tattoos. Â I explained what I wanted, put down a deposit, and made an appointment for the next day.
Friday came, and I went in for my appointment with Jon. Â Since it's a simple symbol he was familiar with, it was easy for him to pull it up on the computer and adjust it to what I wanted. Â Several minutes later we went into a private room, I got comfortable, and we were off. Â
Twenty minutes later we were done and I was happy. Â Two weeks later it's looking pretty good and I love showing it off! Â
I recommend this place and will return if I want to get it touched up!
Went in for my first tattoo yesterday and had a great experience! Â The place was very clean and people were friendly. The only reason I'm giving 4 stars instead of 5 is because I called to set up a same day appt and was "booked" with CJ whose portfolio I saw online and really liked. Â When I got there 20 min early she said that he had just been booked (didn't I book him on the phone just an hour ago?!?). Fortunately, they had another artist available. Trini was fantastic!! Â I showed him a couple of ideas and he sketched up a beautiful tattoo that was EXACTLY what I wanted but couldn't articulate myself. Â It was my 1st tattoo and I have an extremely low pain threshold. Â He put up with my baby-ness and even let my friend take pictures. Â Very sweet and completely talented artist. Â I'm very proud to have his original design on my hip! Â Now I can't wait to get more!
