Made a call the day of for a friend to get a tattoo as we'd been here for our first ones years ago. Â Lily has a way of putting you at ease and when she was finished with my friends tattoo she turned to me and said now what about you? Â Needless to say I have another star on my foot, love it!
Review Source:Came here last night to get my first tattoo! I was nervous and anxious, but Lily put me at ease. When I went to use the ladies' room beforehand, she had Finding Nemo on the large flat screen so I could watch while she tatted me up. I had sent her a few pictures of what I had in mind, and she showed me her multiple sketches. I liked the one she had in mind for me, and chose lettering from a different one. She was so patient as she placed the sketch on my side, and I had her change the location and placing of it about 4 times. But she totally understood as it was permanent. The tat did not hurt at all, was so surprised, and since I'd never seen Finding Nemo before, I was totally into it as I laid on my side. Lily is superb, and let my friend take pictures of it, sent me directions on how to care for it on my phone (way better than having a piece of paper with instructions). She is awesome, and I love how they have a whole ton of movies to watch to distract you! Would definitley come back to Lily if I ever decide to get another one!
Review Source:I have been wanting a tattoo for years! I finally committed to getting it on my golden birthday. I was very nervous and researching all the tattoo places in San Jose. A coworker mentioned Da Wei and I went to yelp and read all the reviews. I quickly added it to my top three list and drove to all of the locations to get a feel for it.
When I went to Da Wei I was met by Lily who was a sweetheart. She quickly understood what I wanted and said it would be easy. She squeezed me in an appointment after tattooing a whole tiger on a guys back! My little wrist tattoo wouldn't be a problem.
When the day came, I brought my entourage since it was my birthday and I was nervous. Lily was very nice and could see I was nervous. She talked me through it but was very receptive to my pain tolerance. My friends say that she might have stopped early because she could see that I was white as a ghost and about to pass out! ha ha
She was SO nice even thought I was being a baby. She quickly grabbed me water and started to fan me, since it looked like I was going to pass out.
The tattoo was amazing and it still looks great to this day. Its everything I wanted in my tattoo, but most of all the experience was memorable.
I would highly recommend going here for your first tattoo, whether that be a big tiger on your back or a small wrist tattoo.
