Let me first say......I am VERY picky about who puts ink on me. I started getting tattoo in the day of scratchers and am so thrilled with the evolution of the craft; we have great artists to choose from. That said.....Suzanna Fisher is so worth a very serious look. Her art and the healed work are breathtaking. She took my concept/pendant and created what has proven to be my most profound and cherished piece. She is professional, a highly gifted artist, quick and painless, and a really cool person. What more could you want? Thanks Suzanna!

I wanted to try and be different from all the other 5 star reviews, but I can't help it [insert squeals of excitement]. I am so thankful to have chosen Damask Tattoo as my first go-to place for my FIRST tattoo ever. And more meaningful than being my first tattoo, it was with my sister whom I made a promise to three years ago that I would wait for her to turn 18.

How and why did I settle for Damask Tattoo? Simple as 1,2,3. I read hundreds of reviews [not joking] on different tattoo places in Seattle. [my friends were like, why did you go all the way up to Seattle? Why not go local, somewhere in Tacoma?] I was like, uh, this is P-E-R-M-A-N-E-N-T. I mean I'm all for being spontaneous and all about trying new places and such AND there are many talented artists that may not have made it big yet and are so-called "hidden gems" but I need to rely myself on reviews from Yelp about their experience... not go to a place that has 1-2 reviews that say, "yea they were great" ... not reliable enough. Anyways, back to the question of why? I studied Interior Design a while back and fell in love with the pattern called "Damask", I thought this was a sign! Plus, from their photos, the place looked so classy and neat I was like totally falling in love. So we went for it.

Having been from Tacoma, driving was a pain ... the first time and the last time. For our consultation appointment/ $60 deposit [mandatory] we were about 20 minutes late. Our Tattoo Artist was Laura (: I immediately liked her with her sleeves full of ink and bright aquamarine hair color! She was just perfect. On the other hand, my sister was expecting to go to a shop with grungy stereotypical style with big scary guys that would be inkin' up our wrists. I mean, it could be cool to say, "yea, I got tatted by some scary looking macho guy" but I get to say, the artist had blue hair and even had a sea-themed sleeve with a big tiger on the other! Way classier, yo.

Here comes the scary part, the only thing that had gotten me super nervous was the "stencil drawing" Laura had sent me through e-mail a week before the session. I was like, "oh my gosh.... this looks ... totally not what I want.. it looks ugly?!" but little did I know... that she didn't include the SHADING!! Of course, it would look hideous without the shading [which is the biggest detail I wanted]. What did I get, are you curious as you read this review? Well, I got two feathers that are tied at the tip of the quill with a fluffy little bow ribbon. My sister just got a simple cross on the inside of her wrist.

[important note: my sister and I were basically an hour late for our session!! We even left Tacoma an hour early, the GPS said it will take 50 minutes, and well... unfortunately the GPS did not warn us about traffic nor construction going up in Seattle. Plus, Queen Anne is like... the tip of Seattle which makes it just as long to drive through all that nasty traffic. I was hoping Laura wouldn't be too angry but she was super chill, thanks Laura].

As for the actual session, we were sat down one by one, she went through the details on what she was holding and cleaning and preparing. It didn't seem that scary. Okay, maybe the GIANT needle [which doesn't go inside your skin like at a doctor's office] was pretty intimidating. Little did we worry since Laura explained that she only uses the tiny tip at the end of the needle to "poke" us.

My sister went first, although... I waited almost 4 years to get my first tattoo... and she waited, what? A month? haha, ridiculous! But it was all worth it.

It's only been two days and I have gotten so many compliments and I just can't stop staring at it. It's beautiful. I wouldn't have gone anywhere else to get this specific tattoo done. Because it was my first, I was nit-picky about reading her profile on the website and staring like a creeper on her designs to see if she can make what I want. I mean, it's going to be on my wrist forever, ya know? Her bio said something about plants and animals and such so feathers would have been in her category, I think.

I will leave out the details about the rating of pain since each person has a different pain tolerance so for a first-timer, I will say, "not bad, not bad at all". Plus, I will definitely keep in mind to come back for my next ones [yes, plural] back to Laura unless I move out of the state or something. Most likely, I will be moving up to Seattle anyways.

I just want to give a huge thanks to Laura for making this happen and making it super awesome. I know, people always say it's so cool, I am so happy, and whatnot but having to wait for so long, it was dreadful. I mean I was even considering not getting a tattoo... ever ... but I am glad to have met Laura and have her as my first tattoo artist (:

I got permanent makeup done (eyebrows and top + bottom eyeliner).  The price was very competitive, especially considering the quality.  I interviewed a couple of other permanent cosmetics artists, but went with Christy because she was the most realistic about the healing process, cautious about making sure I made the right decisions, and has such a good portfolio.

I have five other tattoos, so I wasn't an absolute novice, but it was really not a painful process.  She treats the area with a numbing cream before she tattoos you, and she double checks to make sure it won't hurt you.  The only unpleasant part is the next day, when you swell up and feel a bit under the weather.  And the scabbing, which lasts about 5 days after each treatment (there are 2). But it is SO WORTH IT - it's been 4 months now, and people are still asking me if I've lost weight, gotten a tan, and a host of other things that haven't happened - I just look healthier now, and it's not noticeable at all that I have permanent makeup.  Just looks like I'm always wearing very nicely done eyeliner, and I have beautifully defined eyebrows.  One of the best parts (there are so many!) is that I jump out of bed, put on some blush, and head to work - "doing makeup", and having it dripping into my eyes by noon, is a thing of the past.  When I feel fancy, I slap on a little mascara.

So basically, this was the best present I ever gave myself - and given how much time I save, is a definite improvement in quality of life.  If I could volunteer to do infomercials for Christy, I would!

Hands down, Suzanne is amazing.  She was so helpful, kind, friendly and down to earth.  This was my first tattoo and I was nervous as hell, but she chatted with me and made me so comfortable!  I'm so glad I went to her, based on other peoples great recommendations here.

Oh, and I'm totally thrilled with my tattoo too.  :)

UGH CAN WE TALK ABOUT HOW GOOD SUZANNA FISHER IS PLEASE?? I'm pretty positive Yelp doesn't allow the character count it would take for me to properly explain her unbridled awesomeness, so here is the abridged version:

Suzanna is an incredible artist, she listens (and advises when appropriate), does exemplary work, is fair priced (right at the standard Seattle hourly rate), and to top it off, is super cool / a total hoot to hang out with while getting stabbed for hours at a clip.

I am real real real real REAL particular when it comes to my tattoo artists, after a few sub-par experiences -- I never thought I'd find anyone after Jeremy Justice went back to New Orleans, was totally gunshy to have anyone work on me besides him -- and Suzanna handled my first-visit trepidation with grace and ease. Now I can't imagine going anywhere else.

Quite literally couldn't ask for anything more. Go see her before she's booking out a year in advance.

I had my first tattooing experience with Suzanna at Damask and it couldn't have gone better. She made me comfortable about the whole experience, worked to tweak my design until I was 100% satisfied, and has an excellent bedside manner. The shop in general is warm and inviting--the women are friendly and the private rooms are the perfect environment to put a first time skin at ease. Couldn't have asked for better!!

Wow! Awesome permanent cosmetics!  Christy at Damask Permanent cosmetics is amazing- what a skilled artist. My brows look natural and beautiful. Christy took the time to talk about my options including color, shape and thickness and really put me ease with the whole process. Surprisingly, the pain level was extremely low ( 2.5 out of 10 ) - easy peasy!  I am 100% satisfied and would absolutely recommend Christy for permanent cosmetic tattoo work. Her before and after photographs are evidence of the terrific work she does.

Best tattoo experience of my life!!! I love this shop and everyone in it.  The first thing that I noticed was how beautifully decorated it is.  The best part is the private rooms, with music or live puppy cams (should you choose to watch).  Having the quiet and privacy put me immediately at ease.  Christy created a portrait piece of my dog and every time I look at it, I see him.  It brings me to tears because she captured every little detail and that was not an easy thing to do.  Christy could not be easier to work with when trying to describe to her what I wanted.  Bottom line is, she does some amazing work!

My only experience here has been with Christy, but hoo Nelly, it's been pretty fantastic.  Her work is amazing.  Her communication and customer service (hi Laura!) is amazing, and she's a very affable person to be tattooed by.  If you're going to sit somewhere for many hours, getting hurt by someone, she's the best person possible to do the hurting.

I did my eyebrows here and I wish I did it sooner.
No more spending 20 minutes every morning drawing them in.

Christy, who did my eyebrows was GREAT!
I like the fact that she really listens to me and does EXACTLY what I want.
    Very professional yet personable.

I was so please when I left and when I came back for my follow-up appt, I wanted it a darker color and a bit thicker. She had absolutely no problem doing that for me!

I will definitely come back in the future for my touch ups!
Definitely recommend this place to anyone who wants to get their eyebrows done!

So happy with the results & my husband loves it too!

My tattoo was done by Laura - she was personable and warm, and explained everything she was doing as well as answered any questions I had.

I only had a small piece done, but the pricing was very reasonable.

The studio itself is super clean, inviting, and well decorated.

    I'd go back!

Permanent cosmetics- yes! I had my eyebrows done by Christy and and love the results. I had expected some discomfort during the procedure - I have a tattoo on my shoulder- so I know that handling the pain is part of the whole thing. I  was  pleasantly surprised that I didn't need to be "tough".  It was a painfree experience, and my eyebrows looked great immediately. I am very happy that I finally did this!!

I have been a fan of Christy's work for many years, so when she finally opened the doors to more portrait clients, I jumped at the chance to have an incredibly special tattoo done by her: a portrait of my father and me. She nailed it.

I'm no stranger to tattooing, and I can say that I'd never hesitate to send anyone to this shop. The shop itself is clean, orderly, and - most distinctly - extremely comfortable and inviting (a woman owned shop, it definitely has a welcoming, accepting vibe unlike any other place I've had work done). I think it'd be uniquely appealing to first time tattooees or anyone who's a little nervous or shy about what they want.

Christy was a wonderful balance of professional and personable - on my consultation appointment she took a deposit (which she actually remembered to apply to my last appointment!!) and had me fill out the requisite forms. We discussed my idea and set a few appointments. For each appointment, we started on time (kind of a rarity in this business). She's easy to chat with, full of lots of great information and even has morning appointments (yay!)

Most importantly, of course, the tattoo is amazing. Portraits are a little outside my usual style, so she walked me through the process (layering the ink in like oils) and what I could reasonably expect the piece to look like all complete and healed. 3 sessions later, it's done and looking absolutely stunning. It's beyond my expectations. I regularly have people stop me to take a closer look. It means everything to me to have had this tattoo done by her, just as I'd always hoped.

Thanks for the amazing work, Christy, and keep kicking ass in this business. The shop deserves it's wonderful reputation.

    This place is the shizznittlebamsnipsnap!

The tattoos I have from Christy are REALLLLLLLLLY nice. Christy is not just an amazing artist she is also just a super chill person to talk to. Which is really nice because for whatever reason I just turn into mr talks a lot when i'm getting inked.

I have also heard a lot of good things about the other artists there as well.

The atmosphere at Damask is also really nice. It's a very classy/cozy shop that is very inviting. I always leave REALLY HAPPY with the level of service that was provided to me.

Seriously though, if you are looking to get AMAZING ink done then you need to get it done here.

Just one week ago, Laura Exley did a gorgeous Vegan tattoo on my arm, that she designed for me... I have had hundreds of compliments on it so far!

It is so awesome that I cannot stop staring at it...

I had a three hour drive back to my home that was really tricky as I just kept wanting to stare at my arm, and not the road...   But I lived to tell about it!

Laura was gentle, informative, helpful, funny and makes you forget you are even being tattooed!

It was my first tattoo and I will never consider going anywhere else!

I have more planned and am so excited for them!

Thank you so much Laura!  Perfect job!!!

The studio is beautiful and it has an atmosphere that makes you just lie back and relax...and when you are getting a tattoo...isn't that exactly what you are looking for?

I just got my first tattoo at Damask.  I looked over a lot of reviews and artists' work before I chose Suzanna.  It was a great decision!  I came to Suzanna with an idea in mind, but no actual drawing (as I am a terrible artist).  She did an excellent job; the tattoo is elegant and exactly what I wanted.  The office is clean and nice, and Suzanna is very personable.  I wouldn't go anywhere else.

I would highly recommend Suzanna Fisher as your next tattoo artist! She is amazingly talented and I am very pleased with the sunflower she designed and drew on my neck - I've gotten so many compliments on it over the years! Not to mention she is a hoot to chat with and despite the discomfort of getting a tattoo (it's not exactly licked on by kittens) I still really enjoyed talking and laughing over our silly conversations while she was working away. She obviously loves her job and is the most talented artist I know.

I just had a half sleeve done by Laura Exely-Grams. She is a great artist! All I need to do was describe the scene I wanted with very little detail and she created an incredible one of a kind piece  that I adore. Great job with lines and color. I'm planning on getting at least 3 more pieces from her.

I was tattooed by Suzanna about 2 months ago, and it was the best tattooing experience I've ever had.  Not only was she extremely friendly and personable while working on me, she also has great artistic ability.  This is my third tattoo, and it is by far my favorite.  She interpreted what I had in mind wonderfully; after our consultation her sketch was great (even in black and grey), but her use of color on the finished tattoo was amazing.

I wanted an octopus with great detail (lots of bold colors, shading, and textured effects) on my arm.  Suzanna let me know up front the size that it would need to be in order to get the desired effects (I had been thinking about 4x4 inches, but was convinced, thankfully, of going about twice that size).  She also was able to take the random pictures of drawings, nature photos, and other tattoos I got from the internet and piece them all together to design something not-so-realistic but not cartoon-y either, all while being very personal and individual to me.

All in all, I've never received more compliments on anything I've ever had, and I would never go to any other artist for my next tattoos!

Suzanna Fisher not only is an extremely talented artist - she also made my four-hour sitting fly by!  She's fun to talk with, which makes the time pass quickly.

I came to Suzanna to get a new piece on my arm and had a great consult. About ten days before our appointment I decided I wanted to expand the piece to cover an older piece on my arm as well, so this new tattoo would be the sole focal point.  She understood what I wanted, explained the challenges, and came up with an absolutely gorgeous design.

We did just the black outline and some black shading in the first session but its already nearly impossible to see my old tattoo.  Suzanna's work is amazing, the detail on the bird is gorgeous, and so intricate.  We still have to do the color in another session - and I'm sure the end result will blow my mind as I'm already delighted with my tattoo.  The atmosphere at Damask is wonderful, very relaxing and I like having more privacy during the tattoo.

Suzanna Fisher, you rock!!  So pleased with my cover-up.  I walk in to their cozy shop with this silly thing on my shoulder that's been bugging me for years, provide the vaguest description of what I might want, she asks me questions, sketches a bit and a few weeks later I get the most beautiful final sketch in my inbox.  And now here I am a few months later with this gorgeous bird on my back.  I'm definitely amazed with Suzanna as an artist, and it helps that she's just generally awesome and fun to be tattooed by.  Highly recommend!

I was tattooed last week by Laura, who is an apprentice at Damask. I know it might sound scary to choose an artist that is newer at their craft, but Laura is amazing, as I believe her portfolio proves.

I wanted a very feminine tattoo, and an artist at another shop just couldn't get it write in the drawings. So I turned to Damask, which I knew had a stellar reputation.

I spoke with Laura when I initially called Damask about an appointment, and Laura was up-front about the fact that she is currently an apprentice and encouraged me to check out her portfolio online to decide if I wanted her to do my tattoo. Needless to say, I did!

Laura was friendly and very responsive throughout the process. I made the appointment on a Friday evening (for the following Saturday) and sent her my concept images that evening. By Wednesday, Laura had emailed me two different drawings based on what I told her I wanted, both of which were absolutely beautiful. I chose the one I wanted to go with and sent back a couple small changes, and Laura was very quick to get be back a final drawing, which I instantly loved. Laura took care to listen to each and every request I had, offered her advice to make it even better, and I ended up with a GORGEOUS tattoo that I am so excited about.

Laura was fun to talk to while I was getting tattooed, and was fine with my boyfriend sitting in the room to keep me company. She was very mindful of the discomfort that comes with getting a tattoo, reminding me to let her know if I needed a break, talking me through each step of the process (since this was my first really intricate piece - i.e. not just script), and answering all my questions.

As others have said, Damask's studio is clean and beautiful, and a nice change of pace from your stereotypical tattoo shop. Overall, I had a fabulous experience, and I will absolutely be back for all my future tattoos. Plus, they offer vegan ink, which I think is a big plus, being a vegan myself :)

5 stars! Bravo, Damask and Laura!

I've gotten tattoo'd by both Christy and Suzanna here, and both ladies are wonderful at their craft, and overall a pleasure to just hang out with (after all, when you're sitting for hours on end with someone who's intimately drawing permanent art on you, chemistry's kind of a big deal!). My piece done by Christy is black and grey, and while it's not fancy or huge, it often gets a lot of attention since it's in a highly visible spot on my arm, and I'm always complimented on it (or rather, Christy's artwork is always complimented!). Both of my pieces were custom designed, but what I appreciate the most about Damask is that both artists work WITH you, so that your tattoo becomes a collaboration, rather than just a pure commission.

I'm an artist, illustrator, and graphic designer myself, so I could easily draw up my own designs and have someone trace and ink them onto my body, but being my own worst critic, I prefer to find an artist who's work I admire, and who's style will suite the piece I'm looking to get done. For my big doozy of a sleeve tat, I chose Suzanna based on her gorgeous full-color style and her ability to handle fun, "new school" style tattoo work.

The overall experience was nothing short of perfect! Even though my body is terrible at handling color tattoos, and I had a lot of touch-up needed, Suzanna was never impatient or judgmental. She never made me feel dumb for any mistakes made (FYI, going on a sweaty 3.5 mile run a day after getting a tattoo? not a GREAT idea.. oops), and was patient with helping fix any areas I wasn't happy with. The end result is a piece I'm 1000% in love with.

I'm already mapping out my next tats and Suzanna will no doubt make them come to life amazingly!

I recently got a new tattoo at Demask and got a chance to have Suzy Fischer do my work. I wanted to take a second and Yelp that working with Suzy on the design and tattoo was a great experience. I gave her just a abstract idea with not very good source references. She took the time to listen to my ideas, and work out an approach. Her ability to adapt her incredible artistic abilities with sharing the vision of a stranger is a really rare skill. Her work is impeccable and the final result was a great tattoo.  Demask is a different type of studio than some others ive been to. Its very art driven and you can see the results in their work.  I would recommend this place for any person looking to get a serious tattoo.

I went to Damask to get a tattoo by Suzie Fisher. Physically the shop is small and very inviting and comfortable. The place is CLEAN with a coffee maker, a nice bathroom with potpourri, and lollipops!
The tattoo with Suzie went fantastically. She's a very warm and charming woman who immediately set me at ease. The environment has a very private, boutique feel which I really liked. It was nice not to have countless people coming and going during the tattoo.
Suzie does amazing portraits and I got a big, very detailed Batman portrait on my thigh. It is fantastic! I've spent countless hours getting tattooed. Most of my body is covered. The experience at Damask ranks as one of the best I've had. The tattoo was amazing. Suzie is the nicest woman in the world. And the shop is a perfect place for me to get tattoos and I will be back without question.

After researching local Vancouver shops for an artist, I came across Damask Tattoo online and just fell in love with the work. Originally, I  contacted Christy, but she was booked out fairly far, and she usually specializes in photographic and portrait work. She then suggested maybe Suzanna would be interested in working with me on my piece.

I had such an amazing experience working with Suzanna, we began conversing over e-mail and phone, figuring out every little detail of my piece. Even though I had a bit of a crisis, realizing my passport was expired about 2 days before I was supposed to head down to Seattle for my appointment, Suzanna was super understanding and had me re-booked for the next month.

The studio is a gorgeous space, and it was great getting tattooed by Suzanna.  She put an absolutely incredible amount of work into mixing all the colours to the perfect shade, placing every line & detail down, and explaining the aftercare thoroughly.

I highly recommend this shop and Suzanna, it was well worth the drive down from Vancouver, and I am looking forward to coming back in the future :)

I saw Christy last November for my very first tattoo, and love, love, love her work!

The studio is very private, clean and quiet, which was great considering this was my first. Christy was great to work with, considering I sent her probably a million photos of tiny fat birds and dogwood branches, and her final sketch was spot on - and the finished work is absolutely amazing. There really aren't words for how much fun it was to work with her, and how much fun she made the tattoo process itself.

I also highly recommend the aftercare kit Damask sells - my healing process went like a dream, and I credit her info and that kit. Seriously. You spend the money on the tattoo, take care of it!

I'm setting up another appointment with Christy as soon as she's available - hopefully this year, since she does book up a bit in advance, which I take as a good sign.

For a first time tattoo, this is the place I'd recommend, and you'll probably want to keep going back - her style is awesome, and the experience at Damask is worth repeating. I won't be going anywhere else. :)

I came home to Washington to have my tattoos done by Suzanna during vacation.  She was more than wonderful and even collaborated with me via email on ideas before I got there.  The parlor is wonderful and such a comfy setting.  Suzanna did two Art Nouveau style doves on the insides of my wrists. They have very fine line work in the wings and a year later they still look amazing, very straight and precise.  They are mirror images of each other so if anything was off it would be noticed. I get tons of compliments. Not to mention that she was great to sit and talk with the full 3 hrs it took.  I can't wait to go back.

I have two tattoos done by Christy, both of which were done over 5 years ago (and both of which I still love). When I decided it was time to get another one, I looked Christy up and saw that she had opened her own place. I e-mailed her about setting up a consultation, and she responded very quickly. She said she was booked out pretty far, and if I wanted to get in sooner I should check out her coworker Suzanna. After looking at Suzy's portfolio, I decided to go with her, and she was AMAZING.

First of all, this studio is beautiful. It's quiet and relaxing and feels nothing like a tattoo parlor- more like a salon or something. The tattoo rooms are private, which is great because I had to be topless for mine. Suzy let me pick the music I wanted to listen to and offered me beverages, set up a fan so I didn't get overheated, and turned on the heat when I decided I was too cold (and then turned off the heat and the fan back on when I decided I was too hot).

I wanted a pinup girl done on my side, and Suzy had more than one consultation with me and several e-mail chains until I felt that we nailed what I wanted. This process included Suzy hand-drawing me pictures of girls until I realized that what I really wanted was a photo-realistic tattoo of Bettie Page. Suzy was patient and understanding, and never seemed to mind that I was constantly changing my mind on things.

I was very nervous getting this tattoo- I mean, have you ever bing searched "pinup tattoo"? There are SO many horrible pinup tattoos out there, so I started to get worried, which was silly because my tattoo turned out incredible- it's just perfect. It starts at my bra line and goes onto my hip, and every line is superbly done. Suzy is such an incredible artist, and I am so proud to have this tattoo. I will absolutely go back to her, especially since I'm now on a "I want a thousand more tattoos!" kick.

Also, it's pretty awesome that I have the best tattoo ever.

I followed Suzy to Damask and I was really impressed with the overall aesthetic of the shop. It's quiet and serene, which is something that you don't get at most places. This is a very quiet, private and relaxed studio type setting. It is definitely nothing like the cookie cutter average tattoo parlor that blares aggressive music in it's lobby. Instead, inside this unassuming suite, you find a peaceful little haven, clean, immaculate, and relaxing. For anyone out there that may be iffy about getting tattoo work done because of the atypical environment found in a tattoo parlor, This is definitely a very friendly space for those who may be very nervous to get work done.

The quality and skill level of the artists that occupy this space are first rate, and their prices are very competitive with the top artists in the metro area. I came in on a weekend to get a rather large piece done and my companion, my artist, and myself were the only ones in the whole shop. It was very chill, and I had such a wonderful time here, that it made the pain of getting the ink that much more bearable.

Damask Tattoo really cares about it's products, it's services, and it's clients, and it really shows.

Suzanna did my tattoo- She hasn't been with the shop very long, but she has already made an impressive mark on the clientele there. She is not only a great tattoo artist but also displays several examples of her masterful artwork inside her space at the studio. I recommend her highly to anyone looking for custom work or portrait work- You won't be disappointed!

There is a huge difference between a real tattoo artist and some guy who knows how to trace an outline with a tattoo gun. Damask only employs true artists of the highest caliber.

Oh where do I start. I recently lost my cat Shadow, he and I were very close and I wanted to memorialize him with a tattoo. I did tons of research and ended up finding Damask so I emailed Christy for her availability. She quickly responded to me and said that she was very full but if I would like to get in sooner I could contact her newest artist Suzanna Fisher. So, I took a look at a few pictures and decided to work with her. Within a few days I had my consultation and she was very understanding of my situation and I was extremely picky on what I needed the tattoo to be.

Less than a week later I had my appointment. The sketch she had done was absolutely perfect and I couldn't wait to get it put on. Fast forward 6 hours later...yes I sat for 6 hours, and while Suzanna thought that was brave, I thought that her working that long was just as impressive!

Anyway, the tattoo came out absolutely perfect and beautiful, she managed to completely capture Shadow's personality and attitude. All I can say is that this experience was simply amazing and I'm so happy that I chose to work with Suzanna and Damask....I will be returning for sure!

First impression walking through the door? I am home :o)  Very cool atmosphere and cozy. Like walking in your front door after a hard days work. Pleasant people and warm enviroment. Suzanna just did a custom tattoo for me, first sitting was 4.5 hours and I was truly amazed that finally this is my 7th tattoo but first from her and it blows my other ones out of the water. Looking forward to part two....Highly reccommend this place to everyone. Chick shops rule! 5 STARS

I will keep this short and to the point. I will NOT get work done ANY where else! Christy is my artist - period!

When you think of the stereotypical tattoo parlour you think of a grungy man smoking a cigarette and death metal blasting in your ears. Well this isn't that place.  It is a warm and inviting place with the nicest people working there. Every effort is made to make you comfortable during your visit.

Christy gave me a beautiful tattoo that way excited my expectations(and I'm a tattoo snob). A nicer tattoo artist you will not meet. Christy is highly skilled and will get plenty of recommendations from me.

Thank You Christy for drawing on me.

I worked with Christy yesterday for my first tattooing session ever (2 half sleeves).  I was really impressed by her professionalism, the great space, the warm and friendly atmosphere, Christy's wonderful personality and attention to detail, and most importantly the amazing results.  I could not be more pleased with the custom artwork she created for me, and how good it looks now, even if though we just got the outline done.  Thank you Christy!!!

I was just tattooed by Christy today.  This is my third tattoo session (and third tattoo studio).  I have been to one tattoo artist previously to do work on my back, and it was a  pretty miserable time for me, though not solely because of the artist.  I had another tattoo done on my foot by yet another artist.

Christy's task was to basically beautify my back tattoo...and she definitely pulled though!  I couldn't be any happier.  While tattoos are uncomfortable, Christy is a very aware artist and tries her best to make you feel comfortable.  It was actually enjoyable!  I am excited to come back to finish up my back tattoo.  I now understand how these things can become addictive.

    Thanks Christy!

I had two tattoo sessions with Ruby Santiago while she was renting space here while getting her own shop set up. For my review of Ruby, please see my review of Two Birds Tattoo.

That being said, this review is for Christy Brooker and her great little space .

Christy is a super bright, sweet, and accommodating business owner. I was seeing Ruby for my tattoo, but Christy still recognized me and my friends when we would come through.  The studio is appropriately small (it IS a studio, after all), but very comfortable, with extra seating in case you bring a friend along for moral support. Damask has a great decor theme, which you may have guessed is built upon damask designs. The studio is clean and comfortable

Christy offers a great selection of fancy teas AND turned me on to stevia sweetener.

While I haven't had any work done by Christy, I did have the opportunity to see her work on a few pieces. Her work is amazing! If you're going to get a portrait, see Christy. I've seen some portrait tattoos where the perspective is off, and the face ends up looking like Sloth from The Goonies, rest assured, unless you're requesting a tattoo of Sloth, Christy will make sure that the perspective, dimensions, shading, and features of your portrait look photo-realistic.

She's also amazing with black & white (just black?) tattoos.

I enjoyed the two appointments I had with Ruby here, and the cross chat between myself, Ruby, Christy, and her clients made the whole experience all the better.

Christy also plays great music, but if you have different taste, she's more than happy to change it.

After my beloved cat died, I knew wanted to get a memorial portrait tattoo of her.  I wanted vegan ink and an environment that wouldn't mock me for wanting a cat tattoo, and found Christy through an online vegan forum.   I am so happy I did!

My tattoo is AMAZING: I wanted a very realistic rendering of my cat, based on a favorite photograph, and Christy did it perfectly, capturing her characteristic expression.  She is an incredible artist.

The whole experience was great: her studio is immaculate, she's super fun and interesting to talk to, and the other artist and customers in the studio at the same time were also great.  HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

My girlfriend and I both went to Christy for tattoos a couple of years ago.

Mine was very simple. I sent her what I wanted over e-mail she offered her opinions i brought in texts in different sizes and I was done in about 15 minutes.

My girlfriends was much more complex. Christy was very patient working with her and trying to get the location exactly right and it turned out amazing!  We were both very excited by the quality of work.

We went to Christy because we were looking for amazing and powerful female tattoo artists.  And we found one.  Now that there is vegan ink,  and we are moving back to the PNW, we will be back!!!

I went to Christy Brooker at Damask Tattoo for my first piece of art ever. Needless to say I was nervous seeing the tattoo I wanted took up half of my upper body.

3 sittings and 7 hours later I have a stunning tattoo had a great time getting it done. Damask studio is private with no walk ins so I could relax and not worry about some random person walking in while I was very exposed.

Her work is top notch, her studio is clean and private and the experience of working with her is second to none. She has a client for life.

Christy made me so comfortable with the tattoo process, even though I was a finicky client.  I sent her several sample art ideas over e-mail, and she melded them all together to create the perfect combo that flowed perfectly with the curve of my arm.  I have gotten so many compliments already, and it's only been two weeks!!  I got gorgeous old style Japanese cherry blossoms.  You can tell right away that Christy cares a lot about her work - and it shows in her quality.

Christy Brooker is, by far, one of the most professional and most talented tattoo artists that I've worked with, in Seattle or anywhere else for that matter.  I've been getting sporadic work for over 15 years, and recently decided to get full sleeves with some pretty detailed work.  Christy's attention to detail, passion and professional demeanor has made the tattoo process one of the most enjoyable I've experienced in my history of getting tattoos, not to mention making the quality of the tattoos I've received unmatched.  Her ability to work with you in making the BEST tattoo really makes the whole process about as cool as it can be.

Her passion for her work and her environment really shines in everything  she does.  Her newly opened studio is one of the most comfortable and clean places I've been to...colorful, warm and above all: VERY sanitary.  Well priced for her amazing ability, she is also fast, precise and fun as hell to be around!  As long as she is in business and I am getting tattoos, she is THE artist I will give my money to.

I absolutely love the work that Christy has done for me. She took the time to really get it down on paper what I wanted before even committing it to skin and ink. I brought her something and she made it mine.

She has a light touch (I would say I giggled, yeah giggled, when she was tattooing my ribs) and is sooo quick! As others have said, she's great at distraction too. I'm pretty sure it was Sullivan G's work that made up my mind which artist was doing my next ink and I love it, EVERY INCH OF IT!

    Thank you, Christy!

Christy did a cover-up for me that several tattoo artists said could not be done. She did it and it's amazing! I received compliments on that piece daily.
Not only is she an amazing artist, she is a strong professional woman with a great heart. I feel privilege to know her.
