Had my tattoo touched up today. Very clean shop and Mark is fantastic. He really loves the community, working with people, and is a great tattoo artist. He also works with local artists and allows them to display their works on his shop. Hats off to Mark and Dinosaur.

My 20 year old daughter informed me that she wanted a tattoo. She also informed me that she wanted Mark to "ink her".  I was concerned and skeptical to say the least. Before her appointment, I paid an anonymous visit to make sure she would be safe.  I was pleasantly surprised and very relieved - Dinosaur is truly an art gallery! The walls have art for sale and Mark is an artist! My Daughter's tattoo is beautiful and she wears it proudly.  So, for the concerned parents out there...if your child ever informs you that their getting a tattoo.  Send them to Mark @ Dinosaur Studio Tattoo and Gallery.  This Mom gave it the eagle eye and then five stars!

Mark is a great tattooist. He is a degreed artist and an art lover, so much so that his studio is filled with the work of local artists. Since I got my tattoo from here, his business has grown so much that he's added another chair. The place is clean, on the artier side of Genessee Street south of Washington near the galleries. Know that Mark does not take walk ins; you should make an appointment to discuss what you want. His prices are fair.  Most of all he is an upstanding guy who runs a clean studio and does great custom work. I needed a touch up after my first seating and it was included for my tattoo. I really love my tattoo from Mark.

We chatted for a while when he did the work on my arm; and he told me that when he opened his studio, he was trying to get approved to move into Libertyville but the village council would not approve his business permit because they didn't want a seedy element added to their town. All I can say is, "Too bad for Libertyville. Their loss is our gain."

When I've stopped next door to the Green Town Tavern since my work and he remembers me, and even though always busy but always chats and says Hi.
