Totally Amazing Artists and Super Clean Shop!!!
  Donovan, Lucky, and Chris are just great artists to deal with. The shop is super clean and these guys are perfectionists when it comes down to their inking and 30+year Talents in the Tattoo world. Autumn Moon is perfect and the tunes are always rocking.
   Lucky just finished my last two pieces ....they turned out so sick it blows my mind. If your looking for ( Great ) work, fair pricing, plus a killer vibe, come see these guys you wont be sorry. I can't wait to get more work done.

A great shop! Â My wife and I have gotten all our tattoos done here. Â The artists are great and definitely know what they are doing, and the prices are unbeatable for the quality as far as I have found in asking around at other spots.
A bit sad as I have now moved up to the Bay area, so now that I am wanting a new tattoo I either have to find a new spot up here or wait til I come to So Cal again to get my next piece. Â But for the artistry and value I found at Donovan's, I actually may just do that (if I can force myself to wait, no guarantee haha)
But overall, top of the line place, highly experienced artists who will give you what you want at a great price. Â My piece came out exactly like the drawing, as did both of my wife's.
If I remember, there isn't a ton of parking as its a somewhat small place in a little shopping center, but that wasn't an issue any of the times I went for myself or her.
I got my first tattoo at Donovan's by Donovan himself. He's the owner. So here's my review broken down into categories:
Location: The place is located in a small little center next to a water store. It's easy to miss, but there is always ample parking. And the fact that there's a Mexican/burger joint within walking distance is definitely a plus. I've spent a great deal of time waiting for my husband to get his tats done so the food does help!
Cleanliness: I've NEVER had any issues. The place is clean and they have a nice, clean restroom for patrons. As a I stated above, I got my first tattoo here and have come back for more over the years. They always healed perfectly. The staff are always cleaning down surfaces if you're asked to lie down and they always have gloves on. The materials used are always brand new and they even have an approved safety disposal bin for used materials. The staff are also trained and certified on blood borne pathogens so that's definitely a plus.
Staff: Donovan and Aaron are great! They make you feel comfortable and they're always honest with you. They'll work with the design ideas you have in mind and they're good company. Every time I go there, they always have a funny story to tell and that helps especially when you're sitting there for a large piece of work.
Work/Artistry: I love all of my tattoos. My husband has repeatedly come back here and I've even had a friend come here last year. She loved her piece (it was her first) and is considering coming back.
I went to Donovan's Autumn Moon Tattoo shop about 18 years ago. The shop was recommended to me by a friend, he said that if I really wanted to get a tattoo I should go there and talk to Donovan Sr. first. I did and I talked to him several times before I finely got in the chair. Donovan was very understanding and answered all of my questions. Over the years we have become very good friends. It is said that you can't just get one, this is true. I have been back many times. So many times that I am running out of space.
So if you want a great tattoo go see the guys at AUTUMN MOON. They are all GREAT ARTIST. You never know you might even see me there, like I said I go there a lot.
If you're in the market for a tattoo (and really who isn't), then this is the place to go! It's a little hidden gem. The shop is very clean and the staff is very friendly. MOST OF ALL THEY ARE GREAT ARTISTS! If you look through their portfolios, I'm sure you will be impressed.
My favorite thing about this place is that the music they play ISN'T mind splitting heavy metal. They usually play classic rock at a reasonable decibel level and the people that work there don't look like they used to be roadies for Black Sabith (no offense Ozzie).
Also, their prices are very reasonable. You can get a tattoo and still pay your mortgage lol
