I didn't have any work done here so can't really comment about the skill level or the final product, but I can comment about their customer service and it was not the best. Â I was referred to this place by someone who had some work done there, that's almost always how I first find out about a place, see work an artist has done on real flesh. Â Just didn't feel like they cared if I was there, not interested in listening or helping me out, kinda like it was a privilege to have them pay me some attention. Â I can't even remember who the artist was that I talked to, but just didn't click for me with this guy or this shop. Â There is a store policy that there's a 50 buck deposit, but then this guy told me it was 60 bucks, seems kinda arbitrary to me. Â Why would I pay you 60 bucks when I have no idea what's going on my body and you won't tell me how much it's going to cost? Â They just doesn't seem like a win-win situation to me at all. Â This was pretty early on in the hunt for me, learning as I go. Â I have an issue too with these shops not telling you or giving you a ballpark figure of how much it's going to run. Â What, you've never done a tattoo like this before? Â You really don't have any idea how much it's going to cost or how long it will take before you start? Â Hmm, wonder if they would sign a store lease where they didn't know how much it was going to cost or how long it lasted? Â Give me an effen break man.
Review Source:David is an amazing artist. He worked on my boyfriends traditional rose on his left elbow and I came in the day after to add some California poppys to my right arm. He was super helpful and very easy going. The shop is awesome but the yelp address is wrong. It's actually off of West Avenue. (12510 West Ave, San Antonio, TX Â 78216) I am stoked to have found this place and I'm surprised there aren't more reviews. You'll feel comfortable the moment you walk in, which I have found to be a rarity in some shops. I highly recommend this place and any one of the artists are a good choice. I will definitely be back for more.
Review Source:I went to Flesh Electric for Father's Day for a fairly simple tattoo. Needless to say, I will be coming back for more work. I actually met one of the artists, Elloy, at a previous shop. Knowing he worked there compelled me to stop by.
Matt was the artist that worked with me and did a great job with time to spare. All I wanted was a script name...Matt re-drew it twice to make sure it was to my liking. Let's just say...HE KILLED IT!
The shop is bright and clean with a lot of art/flash/antique flash on the walls. The chairs are comfortable and the portfolios are readily available.
If you want something custom, these guys can help you out. Stop by, check 'em out, get some ink. You won't be disappointed.
