My sister and I went in to get "sister" tattoo's, and we didn't really have a set tattoo in mind. Â When we walked into the shop we were greeted by a very clean and spacious shop, very friendly and knowledgeable staff and no pressure to have someone ready to go. Â They answered all of our questions and really took the time to make us feel comfortable . Â
Justin and Jared are AWESOME tattoo artists and really worked with us to ensure that the tattoos we got were the perfect size, color, shape and vision that we had. Â The BEST tattoo experience I've ever had. We walked away with exactly the tattoos we envisioned and we had a wonderful, memorable sister experience. Â We highly highly recommend foundation tattoo to anyone wanting to get work done!
Ok so I've been searching the valley for a true artist for my next tat, being that I recently move here from the central coast. And found one by the name of IZZY, this guy is a mad genius!!!! His Parlour is sick and his free hand is even sicker, if u or know of anyone who is looking for not only a cool place to get a tattoo or cover up a mistake by another tattooist... That's a word right? And get a truly work of art then wise up and give him a call. Let me put it this way we have to finish this up one which im am so pumped about but I'm gonna have IZZY fix one and do my back piece!!! Awesome!!!!
Review Source:I also came in for izzy and when I asked him if he was good at the handwriting tarts he said no and recommend someone else, y would he do that if ur an artist? They were also smoking pot and something on my body that's gonna stay forever I do not want a pothead doing. They saw us come in yet they were all outside smoking, bad service and poor attention to a customer who's willing to spend hundreds of dollars. I took my business elsewhere.
Review Source:I got a tattoo from Jared yesterday behind my ear/neck area and I love it! I spent the day with a friend of mine getting an arm piece done by the same guy and it is just beautiful. They are super clean and and professional and cool people to BS with while getting inked. I will def be coming back for any future work. I am very impressed. I must say as well that I saw a piece Izzy did while I was there and still cannot believe how beautiful and detailed it was. I am just over all impressed by both of these guys! Highly recommended!!!!
Review Source:I have to start off by saying Izzy is the cousin of a friend of mine, but that doesn't in any way sway my opinion of this place. Â When getting permanent ink on you, having a "friend of a relative" just isn't enough, they gotta be talented,
So with that said, I saw some of the work he had done and made an appt. Â I drove from San Jose to Motown to get the work done and i couldn't be happier. Â His line work is awesome. Â He moves quick, and has a light and steady hand. Â
The shop is awesome too, filled with really friendly guys. Â In fact, I was so happy with how everything looked and healed that i went back in about 4 weeks later and got a second tattoo!
My sisters, cousin and I wouldn't exactly consider ourselves tattoo people, but this tattoo was special, seeing as someone close to us had just died. We wanted it done by the best.
We had planned to go to a different tattoo place, but then we heard about Pirate Nick at Foundation Tattoo. We called and came in that day.
Pirate Nick was amazing. He was patient with us, and was very confident in his ability as a tattoo artist (which was comforting). He also was able to see what we wanted, and change it according to each person's needs, while still keeping true to himself as an artist.
We couldn't be happier with the tattoo, the service and the price. Thank you Pirate Nick!
I never ended up getting work done, even though I heard Izzy was really talented. Â The reception service for this place is crap. Â I tried for like a week to get an appointment scheduled, then finally they had this crazy deal going for Saturday and I got on the long list. Â Then when the time started getting late, I offered to just come in on that Monday since I had the day off. Â I was told I would get a call back with what time to come in. Â Only to be called like 2 hours later with the news that he was fully booked. Â So not only did they steal my place in line for that night, but mess me up for the following business day. Â All I wanted to do was get a tattoo in honor of my friend who had died just that week. Â I even told them that. Â So now I refuse to ever give them my business. Â My review is strictly based on customer service, not on talent.
Review Source:I chose Foundation Tattoo on the recommendation of a friend who had a beautiful large piece done there. Â I just wanted a small piece, but having something put on my body that would be there forever isn't something I take lightly. Â
The shop is bright and clean and large, and the artists were all very nice and friendly and made me feel comfortable being there. Â They were happy to have me visit the shop first and bring my design concept to talk about before making an appointment, and the deposit they asked for was small. Â The shop is also very easy to get to and there is ample parking.
When I arrived for my appointment my artist (Cory) was very professional, and spent a long time finding out exactly what I wanted with regards to color, size, and placement before we started. Â I liked how meticulous he was about the placement of the stencil. Â When it came time for the tattooing, he put on a nice classic rock mix which I found very appropriate and relaxing, and we got started. Â Cory was very conscientious of how I was feeling and made the experience as comfortable as possible. Â After the endorphins kicked in and I was able to relax and chat, Â I had a lot of fun talking with him and another artist about art, tattoos, the economy, politics, and all manner of things.
I'll definitely choose Foundation Tattoo for my next piece. Â After the great experience I had with them thsi time, I can't imagine going anywhere else.
