The best tattoo shop in Florida....period.

I needed to get two tattoos covered up on my ankle (one on each side) and in a perfect world wanted them to be covered with one new tattoo.   One of the tattoos was a huge BLACK apple, so I figured this was pointless to even try to cover.

After I did a lot of research and talked to several friends, I was directed to Hart & Huntington in Orlando.  I worked with the shop manager, Chris and sent him some examples of what I wanted to do and he matched me up with Jeremie LaFrance.  I took a look at Jeremie's portfolio and I was sold.

I made my appointment to come to the shop and drove 2 hours to get there.  It's at Universal City Walk, so you have to pay for parking, but it's about the same you'd have to pay at a garage in downtown Orlando, so no big deal.  Once I got there, I was floored.  The shop is dope, they have a nice line of clothing and some cool hats, shoes, etc.

One thing that is very cool is that they have an interactive kiosk with iPads for you to go through all the images in each artists portfolios.  This is not a shop where you pick stencil #56 and get the stock "rose" tattoo.  These guys specialize in high end custom tattoos that you're not going to find anywhere else.

On to my tattoo....Jeremie LaFrance is a artistic magician! Much to my surprise he drew up an absolutely sick tattoo that not only would cover up both my tattoos, but also stayed within the size constraints I wanted.  Your average artist would've needed to cover up half my leg in order to make a design to get rid of these nightmare hack jobs I wanted to get rid of.

I've been tattoo'd eight times and this was by far the best tattoo I have and Jeremie was the best artist I've ever worked with.  Aside from his meticulous artwork, he has a very "light hand" and even in the most tender spots of my foot and ankle he tattoo'd very carefully.

This is the only shop that I'd trust for another tattoo in the future.  Every artist that works there is absolutely off the hook.  Jeremie did mine, but JC, Russell, Jime and the rest of the guys are top notch artists....def the best in the town and quite arguably the entire state of Florida.

Over the years I've been inked and had them covered too.  Let me give you a solid piece of advice and tell you that there is no price tag or distance that is too much for something that is on you for the rest of your life (my tattoo was VERY competitively priced....just a point).  Pick your artist carefully and make sure you love what and where you're going to get your ink.  The thing I really respect about the guys at H&H is that they listen to what you want, but they offer up really good advice for placement, color, etc.

If you're going to get tattoo'd, then go to Hart & Huntington.  You will thank me.

I got a pretty simple tattoo and JC did a fantastic job on it.  The lady at the front counter was very courteous and professional as was the rest of the staff.  The store was very clean and it was an enjoyable experience (minus the pain of the tattoo).

I must admit while the artists have beautiful work on the website, the guy that answers the email needs some training. I was told that he discussed my email with my preferred artist and to come in when I got a chance. I know these guys are busy but thought I would give it a shot.

After paying $15 for parking I find that the artist had no time to see me. I then find out that this happens all the time by the guy that took my information. It's been two weeks and I have not heard from the artist.

I was planning on spending quite a bit of money on my art but now since the place is obviously poorly run I won't spend a dime. I'm sure if the owners knew how the shop was run they would be very unhappy.
