This place is the best,  I recommend them to everyone I know.  Had 7 piercing that needed done and before we knew it Jared Hill had us both done and out the door.  Several hours later and the piercings are all comfortable and looking great! The best location with the best people, every time I go here I get awesome service.

I originally had my nose piercing done at a place in CA but after a few weeks it seemed to look a little infected so I stopped by High Priestess to have it checked out. Joshua was awesome! He cleaned it for me, help readjust it and gave me correct aftercare advice that I will surely follow! Definitely going back here if I have anymore questions or another piercing!

Professional, clean, friendly, and knowledgeable. I won't get pierced anywhere else ever again,  I'm devoted to this place.

Although I could tell you about all the piercings I've gotten there,(which if you include the fixing of piercings done other places comes up to 12), all the people I've brought in to get piercings, or any of the beautiful jewelry pieces I've purchased, to me HPP is summed up in one interaction.  A gal came in with her child, who had a horrible messed up mall piercing.  The kid's ear actually had an earring back stuck in it.  One of the shop owners kept the kid as happy and calm as possible while taking out the bad piercing, fixing the piercing with better jewelry and then giving the mom a break on the cost to encourage her to pursue better piercing for her family.  This is not the first time I've seen HPP piercers fix botched piercings, even from other piercing studios in the area, and they always do it with gentleness and professionalism.  They love what they do, they are committed to excellence, and it's always a joy to come in and get a mod.

Always clean! That is the one thing that I look for when I go somewhere to get piercings, or tattoos. Now I didn't get my tattoo through them (but my tattoo artist now works there), but I have gotten a number of piercings through them. It makes me feel way more comfortable about getting a piercing when I see the piercer wash their hands a few times before they pierce me. I recently got my septum pierced. He washed his hands before examining my nose, before washing my nose, after washing my nose, and then right before he pierced it. Good feeling! Second, they are very knowledgeable. They will tell you what you have to do to get a good heeling. Unless I move somewhere else, I will never go anywhere else to get pierced.

This review is about the High Priestess Mobile Studio. They happened to be at the Rose Festival City Fair this past weekend, and since my current jewelry had been bothering me I saw this as a great opportunity to get it replaced.

Now, I'm not all hip to body modification at all. I basically got my tongue pierced one afternoon because I was in a bad mood and a friend dared me to. I also have a couple of small tattoos I got in the same fashion: on the fly. (since then I've learned to create a relationship with an artist you trust and admire.)

Wow! First Georg set me up with some beautiful jewelry sized just right. Everything was clean and medical friendly, and Chris did an awesome job at easing my concerns and answering my spastic questions without making me feel like a moron. He did the actual replacement, and I was so happy with the result, price, experience, and people that I got a card and came straight here to write a review.

I'm definitely recommending them to friends, and so grateful I stopped in. Now not only is my jewelry perfect and beautiful, but it will always be a nice reminder of that awesome Memorial Day I went to the fair.

I came to High Priestess Piercing shortly after moving to Oregon for college. I got an industrial piercing a few months before at home and it kept getting infected even though I cleaned it as instructed. I went to High Priestess and asked them to look at it and take it out for me. Alex told me that it was pierced completely wrong and took it out for me. He was really nice about everything and told me that it looked really painful and understood why I wanted it gone. He also gave me his card and told me that when it healed up that I could come back in and he would pierce it for free. That's quality customer service! I'm still waiting for it to finish healing, but I'll definitely be going back to High Priestess to get it re-pierced.

High Priestess is, hands down, the best piercing studio I've ever been to. They are extremely hygienic, professional, knowledgeable, and friendly. I'm a student at the University of Oregon, so I live in Eugene for only part of the year and in California for the other, but even so I'd never even consider getting piercings anywhere else.

On my first visit, I got two lobe piercings in each year. I thought that my piercer was just about the nicest, friendliest guy on the planet. Then I came a second time to get snakebites and a labret, and I realized I was wrong -- that THIS piercer was the nicest, friendliest guy on the planet. I've since decided that every single person who works here is the nicest, friendliest person on the planet. They are extremely knowledgable and happy to answer any questions or concerns you may have, and go out of their way to make you feel comfortable during the piercing process.

They are also meticulous when it comes to placing your piercings; each time I've gone, my piercer spent five or so minutes just deciding where to place the dots so that they would be as symmetrical as possible. Sure enough, after six months of healing, my snakebites and labret are perfectly centered and look absolutely wonderful.

High Priestess also offers free consultations over the phone or in person about any piercing or tattoo-related issue that arises, during the healing process or after. I've even walked to HP a couple of times to ask the piercer what size gauge would be the next size down from the one I was wearing -- he just looked at my face, and immediately knew the gauge and size ring -- just like that. I was duly impressed. :)

The only downside to this place is that you may have to wait awhile for service if you arrive during popular hours (i.e. after work on a weekday). The jewelry is high quality, but overpriced -- fortunately, High Priestess offers a number of deals that can lower the figure enough to make the purchase feel worthwhile.

When it comes to pushing needles through various body parts, High Priestess is the only establishment I trust. All 12 of mine have been perfect. Honestly, absolutely perfect. They've always treated me with respect, even when I was a 15 year old asking (what I know now are) stupid questions. They're also great at keeping you calm and getting you talking. :)

Yeah, sure, when it's busy, there can be a little wait time. That's because they take their time prep, place the piercing perfectly, answer questions, make sure you know how to care for the piercing, and that you're satisfied. Then, they sanitize and make sure everything is ready and clean for the next person. Would you want to get pierced in a place that skimps out on the important stuff just so they could get to the person after you quicker? I don't think so. :D

I'll stand by them 'til the end, and I suggest them to anyone in the market for a new hole.

I've gotten my ears pierced here twice, my eyebrow done, cartilage & belly button and each time they were very gentle and friendly. No complaints, I would definitely go back!

I got my ears pierced here for the first time on my 21st birthday, and I did not really know what to expect. Everyone there is friendly, highly professional, and very knowledgeable. Very clean and safe, always have some kind of discount (I got one for being British!) and you get free checkups if need be. Great selection of jewelry too.

I've been doing business with High Priestess for the past four years, ever since I switched to wearing gauge earrings. A friendly place, professional, hygienic and helpful. I also had my nose pierced last year. Every experience has been very positive. They are the only piercing studio and retail shop I have given my business to, although I have shopped elsewhere. Their customer service and fair pricing keeps me coming back.

If you ever want your nipple pierced, this is a nice spot. The fellas were respectful, the studio was sanitary and I haven't had any issues.  I only got one pierced and he warned me that the other would get jealous, and...Well if a nipple could be jealous I suppose he was right. I'll have tho wait for my next student loan to play for the other and they recommended Robot, so maybe I'll check it out there unless I happen to be in Eugene when I can afford the other nip.

I originally became a fan when it was under old ownership in the 90's, and considered it one of my favorite places to get jabbed with a needle (The Antrican was the other, but they don't pierce in the shop any longer).  There is no other place in town I will go or recommend to another for a piercing. Daughter is a satisfied customer, boyfriend is a satisfied customer, yes, my loved one's have gone under the needle, as it were. The staff is knowledgeable and friendly, the place on Lincoln is usually busy, but chatting with the friendly staff while you wait to get decorated is what makes going there fun; it's almost as if some of the staff ARE friends (the bond of blood and pain, I guess). Anyways, if you're looking to get that much needed hole in the head (or a more discreet place) HPP can't be beat.

i pulled over on a whim and marched inside, ignoring the tow warnings of the copy shop next door. the place reeks of sterilization, which would be jarring if it were a doctor's office, but is comforting when you're about to have metal shit go through your head. i think the piercer's name was jim. he was bald, giggly, and totally professional. i asked a lot of stupid questions and he was informative. everything in the shop - needles, rings, parts, swabs, etc, were individually packaged and clean. we were out in 10 minutes, with complimentary goodies and info for keeping it clean. don't tell my mom.

I have been wanting a particular piercing for awhile, but had been putting off getting it.  Money, time, bad experience elsewhere, the usual excuses.
I happened to be out for a day on the town with a friend when she told me that my husband and she had conspired to get me into the shop to have work done.  I was excited given the shop is APA certified, but I was hesitant.  I shouldn't have been.  Jim (my piercer) was really professional and funny.  I lost count of the number of times he changed gloves.
The shop was sparkling clean with private rooms.  There were quite a few people there but the wait was reasonable.  The jewelry in the cases is a bit pricey, but the quality is a lot better than other places that shall not be named.
I walked out feeling great and pondering what work I want done next.

My newly pierced nose ring fell out and I made an emergency visit to HPP and they were eager and willing to help.  They really know what they're talking about and have the piercings to prove it!  Very knowledgeable and friendly staff.  I would definitely recommend getting your piercing or jewelry here.

Great selection of jewelery for all body mods, and wonderful tattoo artists.  I've gotten two tattoos there (by Splat! and Erich) and both are AWESOME.

Thanks, HPP, for being so amazing :)

I could almost give these guys 5 stars.

    Upside:
    Professional.
    Clean.
    Knowledgeable.
    Friendly.

    Downside:
A little pricey for their jewelry
If you're not the only one in there- you will wait a loooooong time.

I live in California. I went all the way to Eugene so as to get my piercing at High Priestess.

I went with my cousin a couple years back when she wanted to get her bellybutton pierced and it was fantastic, so when it came to me wanting a piercing it was the first place that came to mind.

The people are great. The piercing was quick and easy. All in all a great place to go for piercings.

I don't know if it's as good as it gets because I haven't been to every piercing store in the world but they definitely deserve 5 stars instead of 4. I wanted to get my nose pierced and wasn't sure if I should go to Black Lotus or High Priestess. Both came recommended. I hit up Black Lotus first and the piercer wasn't in so I headed over to HP. Kudos HP on opening at 11! Jared was AWESOME! Had a great experience and will be back for future piercings.

I have to stop and ask myself if I am middle aged? Isn't this an objective term? Who decides where the top of the 'hill' is?

Considering a recent piercing experience, the questions above (and a few others questioning my sanity) were raised to conscious thought. Any fears related to the professionalism or product quality were quickly dissolved after my visit to High Priestess Piercing Shop in Eugene.

Not only are the staff members proficient and friendly, the shop is clean and inviting. A recent remodel has brought the shop into the new millennia, and the choice of jewelry was diverse enough for even this aging groupie to find something comfortable.

A shout out to the owner George, who was kind enough not to mention the pain before the piercing, and to Amber, who is just about the coolest and kindest counter person known to mankind.

When it comes to getting needles shoved through my face, this is the only place I'd go to have it done.

The shop was initially a bit intimidating (especially for someone with little experience or knowledge about body modification), but the staff is friendly and very receptive to questions. They want you to be assured and aware of everything that's going on in your piercing experience. Maintaining high levels of sanitation is one of their top priorities and they are adamant about only selling jewelery made of the highest quality materials.

The piercers are nice, very professional, and tell you everything you need to know about your piercing in terms of how it's going to be done and how you should go about aftercare. They are insistent that you call or come in with any questions that may come up after piercing and are happy to make any needed adjustments. Customer satisfaction is a big concern of theirs and it shows.

I've had my nose and helix pierced here and have nothing but good things to say about how High Priestess handles piercings.

My clean cut self always feels a little intimidated going into establishments like this since I don't really fit into the body modification scene.  The people at High Priestess were friendly and nice and the building was clean.  But perhaps most important to me was that they didn't make me feel out of place or like a dumb ass for asking questions.

    Recommended.

The most important things to know about HPP:

-clean, clean, clean. They are all about maintaining  high standards of sanitation.

-friendly, up-front and fun. You will have a good time... whether you are getting a hole punched in your nose (which I have done here... twice) or a giant cat inked onto your side (work in progress).

This place is awesome, I don't want anyone else coming near my body with a needle except for my doctor! This is the place to go!

I got my nose pierced here and have nothing but praise. Everything was incredibly clean and sanitary, all procedures explained before hand and while going on.
I had no issues with infection and they adjusted my piercing when it needed to be tightened up.

First off (this refers to 1997-1999 and I would doubt any of the same piercers are there now.

The situation: Freshman in college (UO). I arrived with an eyebrow piercing and was thirsty for more but had to wait until I was no longer under my parent's daily reign. So not long after arriving I go get my belly-button pierced. Hands-down the most painful of all piercings i have experienced (eyebrow, tongue, belly). Especially if you are a UO athlete and are forced to wear shorts to practice that are 2 sizes too small (even though you are so thin you may as well be anorexic or maybe you kinda were?) and they push on your new piercing.

So it seemed fine, right? i treated it as directed (they did give me excellent care instructions). But after several months it looked like my body was rejecting it. But then it stopped and was simply a shallow belly piercing, but it was a bit crooked too. The piercing experience itself was fine: clean, sterile and what you might expect; definitely a bit painful, but to me that was not unpleasant and it only lasted a second. After less than two years I thought it looked kinda lame because it was so shallow and crooked so i took it out. Then about a year after that I decided to get it re-done. I went back to High Priestess. They said "who did it the first time?" (i still had the hole) and i said i got it done there. They were not happy with what they saw so they didn't charge me for the second piercing (save for the jewelry).

This time, though they did it deep enough (and straight) but my body again started to reject it (not their fault i don't think) but it stopped before it was all the way out. Now it's been about 7 years and i still have it even though it is a bit shallow. I just think it's pretty decent that they were respectful of the original piercing and gave me the second one free.

Clean, knowledged and experienced people that have piercings all over their body.  Need I say more?  I got my belly button pierced here as a gift for my 25th birthday and am so happy with it.  Never did it get infected, because they were very good about showing me how to clean it.  Never did it get itchy, or have yucky secretions or anything like that.  They cleaned the room, the table and my belly really well and like an artist, was very careful to mark where the piercing was going to be (you would think it was nothing but two holes, right?  Well, he "adjusted" his markings so that it would look just perfect).  They didn't give me details about HOW they were going to pierce my belly, but that was probably a good idea (you can youtube it if you REALLY want to know... I suggest you DON'T).  It really didn't hurt that bad, and was the best birthday present I could get :)

They also helped me change my earring because I got it done at a crappy place and it looked like an alien laid an egg inside my ear, so they gave me advice and switched the faulty jewelery out for a nice clean hoop.
