Okay SO, I had an AMAZING experience here and I cannot suggest this place more. I went here based off of its availability and its Yelp rating. I was a virgin tattoo-er and kind of nervous about getting a tattoo but I guess I wasn't nervous enough because I was not prepared for it (didn't have a good meal before, etc). So I showed my artist the design (I forgot his name.... I feel horrible after everything he did for me! But let me tell you, he was great) and he made it up and set it up and everything and all was well! It was a small bird made of music notes on my wrist, and its not that it hurt, it just kind of shocked me, and I wanted to be all cool and act all fine, but about halfway through I was getting dizzy so I had to ask him to take a break. Long story short, I ended up passed out and woke up on the floor with a pillow under my head and some very concerned faces! I was MORTIFIED but they were so kind about it! The guy doing the tattoo said he passed out his first time and it was nothing to be ashamed of, which made me feel a lot better (even if he might've been lying)! So we finished the tattoo after deciding to have me lay down for the remainder (the tattoo looked PERFECT and I get constant compliments on) and my price was amazing! Just FYI though, cash is way easier for them! And I left and went to Waffle House before I realized I forgot to tip.... So I ran back and tipped him! Don't forget tips y'all!
So here I am a week later and my tattoo is clean and healing way faster than I was told it would, and I couldn't be happier that I chose Inktwister Tattoo! Seriously, go there. You will NOT regret it!
I was reffered to this place by at least 5 people so I knew he was worth a visit. A year ago I got a tattoo and man oh man was it F'd UP! And to top it all off, the ink was not thick so it faded real quick like after six months.
I went to this place and a guy name Trevor took a look at it and helped fix it and make it look presentable. Not only did he did a good job he gave me a good deal. I plan on coming back to do more work so check this place out!
I heart Inktwister!!!!!
I have to say- I have a biased opinion because my husband, Clint works there on the weekends- but Trevor (owner/main artist) is probably one of the nicest and funniest people I know. Trevor is someone who has that gift of making everyone he talks to feel like they are an instant buddy. He has been tattooing for nineteen years and he knows his stuff. He has a really strong work and professional ethic.
You will not come in here and find the typical tattoo artist snobbery that you find at other places in Fort Worth. I am here frequently and see ALL kinds of people. From hipsters, to gangstas, to nerds, to weirdos, fatsos, jocks, dweebies, .... well you get it. You pick it, they stick it. No eyerolling here. They are nice to you and treat you with the respect a paying customer deserves. They don't care if you want something "weird" or "uncool" or "unoriginal"-- you won't here that kind of talk here.
Everyone who works here is straightforward with his pricing too. It's not one of those things where the guy goes "ummm, well, it's hard to say .. somewhere between yadda-yadda and yadda-yadda..." Nope. You come in and say what you want and where and how big and you get your price. You can feel free to say "I only want to spend X amount" and anyone here who does your work can tell you his professional opinion about if you should wait till you have more cash, or just do part of it, or a simpler version, etc. If you're a crazy spontaneous type, check out Trevor's $40 tattoos! Hilarious!! My favorite is the little penguin with the rocket pack.
I also enjoy the fact that no one here is a drug-addict or a drunk either. Just honest, hard working, talented dudes. Check out the myspace page for lots of pictures- they speak for themselves.
