Totally feel I got robbed in terms of pricing. I went in to re-pierce my nose (3rd time) and they charged me $20 for the titanium nose ring (the silver looking one with a regular ball...nothing fancy) on top of $20 for the piercing. My nose didn't even NEED to be pierced because the scar tissue was okay and they just tapered it. STILL got charged full price. Highway robbery. THEN, I asked about the price for bactene (just to know) he tells me $5 and tries to push me into buying it. I told him no thanks because I had some at home, and then the piercer told him (in whatever their native language is) that I didn't need it because it had just been tapered. He told me this and also added that I just needed to wash it with antibacterial soap and to wash my hands anytime before touching it. My nose feels great and looks great and I'm very happy with the piercing, but the customer service could use some work. If Tribal Tattoos had the titanium nose stud I wanted, I DEFINITELY would have gone there and paid $25 all inclusive.

I got a dermal piercing beside my eye and I was amazed at how fast and painless it was! These guys are awesome and really know what they're doing.

K & K features wonderful, courteous salesmen who go above and beyond to ensure customer satisfaction. I went to K & K to purchase a new hookah. Their selection was extensive, and the salesmen were very knowledgeable about their merchandise. I left K & K with a smile on my face, and not just because of the great deal they gave me on the hookah. The men who worked there seemed to genuinely care about their business and about their customers--a quality that is lacking in many other stores in Boulder.

    BEST PIERCING EXPERIENCE EVER!
So I've had a number of body piercings over the last 15 years, by different people in different parts of the country. Mike at K&K was by far the best piercer I have worked with. He was patient with my seemingly endless vacillating about jewelry, didn't put on the tough guy too cool for school routine so many piercers/tattooers seem wedded to, and most importantly, he was a super skilled piercer. I've always had strong reactions to piercings in the past - puked, passed out, etc. But he did my second nipple piercing (which I put off for years after passing out repeatedly for 2 hrs after my 1st nipple piercing) and I have seriously had paper cuts that hurt more. Not nauseous, not lightheaded, healing great.
Could not be more happy with the experience: skill, price, vibe, convenience. Done.

This is the best piercing place I've ever been. Every time I've gotten a piercing (I have 10 total) I've always gone to K&K. I was in there today to have my belly buttons re done because it had closed up. Tony was the nicest person, not only did he redo my belly button for an amazing price but he also made sure I had paid the meter and helped me out when the meter wasn't work. While he was at it he also put new jewelry in all my ear piercing. Mikey and Tony are the nicest and sweetest people I've ever met. They even gave me coffee!!

We took our ten year old daughter to get her ears pierced for a Christmas present!
Our experience from beginning to end was very good. Tony and Mike were very informative about the process, gentle and kind with our daughter, and answered all our questions about ear care after the process.  In addition to being certified and licensed, the environment was super sterilized and clean.  We were impressed.

Easy parking, walked in. The staff were really helpful, able to answer all my questions and were able to talk me through a "plan" for my nose piercing (I wanted a ring but for work purposes needed a stud and I was concerned about placement and interchangeability).

Quick work, easy banter, good clear cleaning instructions (this wasn't my first piercing rodeo but this was certainly the best experience).

    I'll be back.

Just brought my (nervous) 8-year old daughter in to have her ears pierced.  The staff were wonderful, putting her at ease.  She loved the choice of earring options. Piercing area is very sanitary and the staff were very professional.  She came through with flying colors, thanks to their help!  We'll definitely be back!

This place was simply amazing. After reading all the great reviews online I knew it was the place to go for my nose piercing. They answered ALL of my questions, helped me chose a stud, and even the side that would be best for me. The man doing the piercing was kind and clearly very concerned with the process being sterile. He even wiped a little tear out of my eye once it was over! They gave me clear care instructions and I have not had a single problem with it. They ONLY do piercings (no tattoos) and are amazing at it. The best place to get anything pierced on the front range! Thanks K & K!

The only place I go for piercings and body jewelry. Super helpful, knowledgeable, and clean. I work in a jewelry store and recommend K&K to customers every time.

I would give this place 10 stars if I could.  I don't think you will ever hear a bad thing about K&K piercing.  I got about 10 piercings done by them back in 2002 and have not regretted a single one.  They are very professional and their prices have always been reasonable.  I constantly have people asking me where I got my piercings, and I am proud to tell them!  I never had any problems with any of them healing, they always were fair with prices, and I almost always got free jewelry to change out with my piercings.  I had 11 ear piercings, 1 navel, 2 tongue and a couple others done there.  It is a family that runs the place.  A father & his 2-3 sons and they are great.  They even have my photo on their website showing some of their clients.  Anytime I needed help changing 1-2 of my ear piercings due to being in a tight area I just stopped in, they remembered me and helped change it, free of charge.

Helpful Staff; Clean Facility; Professional Work.

My wife and I went to K & K after a strong recommendation from the gals at the Walnut Cafe. My wife had her nose pierced and I had my ear pierced (first time!). We walked in without an appointment and they were able to help us both within a half hour. I was impressed that the staff really seems to care about their work and about their customers. Very professional. The work area was clean & the equipment sterilized. The guys made sure we knew how to clean & care for our piercings, and made us feel at ease throughout the process.

I don't foresee any more piercings in my future, but if I do decide to get another, I will definitely have it done at K & K. Highly recommended.

Went there to have a piercing removed because it was rejecting & I could not take it out myself. The person I spoke to was very knowledgeable & informative. I am a little put off that they charged me $20 just to remove a piercing, though!

These guys really understand customer service!  They go above and beyond when it comes to making sure you feel comfortable and satisfied.  I simply bought a new nose screw, but they let me take my time picking it out (without feeling rushed in any way). They also took their time bending it for me so that it was just perfect (and I was being REALLY particular).  Of course, this was all BEFORE I paid.  I will definitely buy all my body jewelry from here from now on.

K&K is truly a gem!  They have been on the hill in Boulder since at least the nineties.  The staff is very friendly and knowledgeable and the selection of jewelry is remarkable.  The 3 brothers who own and run the business treat their clients with the utmost professionalism.  Tony and Mike - the piercers - are very experienced, and precise.  They definitely know how to give you the best result.  I have had my ears done in multiple places, and also my tongue.  Koko - is immensely friendly and helpful when it comes to picking out your jewelry, shisha, or smoking piece.  I have had many successful piercings there, and when I go, I feel like family!  They often go to conventions and expo's to find the best new jewelry and accessories.  I currently wear an earing that goes thru three holes in my ear - and I get compliments about its cool and unique style.  It is a small shop, but packed with an amazing array of goodies.  Highly recommended!

My sister and I were visiting Boulder, CO. on a whim, and had called tons of Piercing shops out of the phone book (to no avail) before deciding to just take ourselves to the streets to find something to do.
We drove around for a while, grabbed some slurpees, and found ourselves at K&K Piercing. Behold, a piercer open and willing to take walk-ins!

The selection of jewelry they had is the first thing I remember. I didn't think much of it at the time, but having been to different shops since, I have to say - K&K has a good selection. I also remember they had a good amount of body mod books for sale.

I didn't know if I would be getting anything done, because the only thing I had in mind was to have my septum pierced, and I had only ever had my nostril pierced (which had ripped out beforehand), so there I stood - piercingless thinking about jumping into having my septum done? Didn't I need to get a job??

I was looking through the jewelry selection when the man at the counter asked me what I was in for, and my sister answered letting him know I would be having my septum done. (!!!) He asked me which jewelry I would like for the job, and I casually went over options with him before running outside to have a ciggie.  I was nervous as all hell, and there was no backing down -  I had to save face in front of my sister!

My sister joined me and we smoked while chatting about my nervousness and how I should just go in there and do it.  A man interrupted to offer us weed and I was rude (I don't know why- something about people just offering it suddenly on the street, I feel bad now. No- I'm lying. Still though!) - my sister reacted as if I had just bitten the and that could have fed us, and we laughed and smoked while I collected my nerves.

Back inside, the man led me to a private area where he studied the inside of my nose meticulously.  He made marks and stretched the circular barbell to make sure it would pass my septum easily when being flipped up.

The final piercing part was easy - I laid back and he drove the hollow needle through, each layer (four of them) of cartilage popping until the last one gave in, and he kept the needle in as a placer for a second while getting the jewelry ready to string through.  I opened my eyes and felt like an urban shaman with a metal quill in her nose.

All went easily, and when he asked how I felt afterward, I told him it really wasn't that bad.
    "Most painful." he said.
    "Most painful what?"
    "It's the most painful piercing."

Truth or not, I am so happy he saved that for last - and I still have the piercing, at about eight years later.

K&K is the best piercing experience you'll ever have. I've gotten work from K&K four times, and every time they've been clean, professional and precise. It's a very safe place to get work done, and they've got the track record to back that up.

Most impressive is that they are great at putting you at ease. No offense intended, as I love tattoo and piercing places, but sometimes shops can be a bit intimidating (i.e. I'm just not as cool as everybody working there). K&K never makes you feel "not cool enough." They are friendly and polite and are good at remembering you from past business.

Newbie Boulderites may not remember a time when we didn't have K&K. They used to be on the Hill where Tribal Rites is. Then they left for California (I believe in 1999). They returned a year or two later at their current location, and I'm so glad to have them back.
