I went to find a tattoo studio in Kona on the last day of our trip to Hawaii (7/30/2013) because I needed to have a tattoo either fixed or covered. The previous tattoo was done in Pahoa and was horrible! So I first went to K-Town and they said that they had a $120 minimum so I left. I found Kritical Kulture Tattoo (formerly Native Flesh same owner same artist just a new name) The artist (I think it was Johnny but I can't remember)  listened to what I was wanting, found a picture and drew it over the messed up tattoo. After doing all that work he said that I was under NO obligation to continue. We then settled on a price and he went to work. I have a total of 10 tattoos and I have to say he had the softest touch! He didn't try to gouge or force the ink in. He seemed to be able to feel what my skin would do before he ran a line then let the ink, needles and skin work together to achieve a beautiful tattoo. This tattoo was in a particularly sensitive spot and I was not unnecessarily uncomfortable. I wish I lived in Kona so I could have him do all my ink!!! If you are looking for a tattoo in Kona THIS IS THE PLACE TO GO!!!!!

The last afternoon of my first trip to the Big Island was also marked by my first tattoo. Johnny created a beautiful design, just what I saw in my mind. This is a talented, friendly, professional group of artists!
