Badas*! I went on my last day of vacay with my family and we all got dope tattoos. Bino did mine free hand. He added to my shoulder (a previously done tattoo) and it looks like the same artist and same tattoo. Grea prices for great work and an awesome, chill staff! I wish they weren't all the way im Hawaii! I live in Florida. Perfection!!!
Review Source:I have never written a review for anything, but I feel compelled to today. Â
My wife and I were scheduled to get tattoos at another (unnamed) shop in Kona and the artist didn't show or even call to tell us she was sick. Â Being that we're moving back to the mainland in 2 days, we went on a mission to find the right place. Â And now, we're so happy the other shop let us down because Kawai at Native Flesh totally rocked it out for us!!! Â This was my 3rd, and my wife's first tattoo.
Neither my wife and I are artists, so we walked in with some stuff we found online. Â Kawai talked to us about what we wanted and what we wanted our tattoos to represent. Â She took our stale pictures and brought them to life with meaning that reflected us.
I wanted a tribal manta ray and she made a manta with a shark, honu, and tiki guy hidden within - you would never notice the hidden creatures at first glance, but after looking at it, you can see them - very subtle, sharp, and creative. Â I was pretty skeptical about getting something that I love, but Kawai exceeded all of my expectations! Â It seems that a lot of tattoo artists have trouble with thin lines - not Kawai - she nailed it with clean smooth lines! Â I'm super happy!
My wife brought in a picture of a Honu with some plumerias, and waves. Â Kawai turned it into something that represented family and protection. Â All of it was free-hand, so our tats are totally unique. Â
Oh, and she was super nice and friendly. Â Happy to help and responsive to our wants and needs. Â She took our ideas and made them better, more meaningful, and cooler.
Thanks Kawai!!!!!!!!!!
