I met Dave Bozeman (the owner) 8 or 9 years ago when he was working for another artist at a shop in The Woodlands. At the time, I had a design in mind that included the Flower of Life. The tattoo was going to be detailed and would require a flawlessly steady hand. When I walked into this particular shop (not Locally Famous) and inquired about the tattoo I had in mind, an artist on duty said he didn't feel 100% comfortable doing it. (Props to the artist for not "biting off more than he could chew.") The artist said I should wait to meet Dave Bozeman. I waited and I'm glad I did. The piece turned out amazing and I regularly receive compliments on it. Since those days Dave has obviously grown as an artist and now owns his own shop. I still get outstanding tattoos from Dave and I refer people to his shop often. His line work is impeccable. His flow is rhythmic and fluid, which enables clients to time their breathing around the sensation of the tattoo being administered. The guy loves his work and he's one of the most compassionate and good natured human beings you'll ever meet. His work is very consultative and it is clear he enjoys collaborating with clients in order to create an excellent design. Most importantly, Dave is patient. He takes the time to get it right, which is key, because tattoos are FOREVER. Don't play Russian Roulette with your tattoo experience. Go with trusted artists. Do research. Shop on quality, not price. If you're in north Houston, Spring, or the Woodlands, you have no excuses to not check out Locally Famous. If you're not in the immediate area, you can rest assured it's worth the drive to see the artists at this shop.

Have gotten several tattoos from David Bozeman and have always had a great experience.  David has great bedside manner and actually got me to smile a few times while tattooing in some painful spots.  Having collected tattoos from all over the country from different artists one of my favorites was from Bozeman.  It's been several years and the tattoo is still crisp clear an looks amazing.  I couldn't recommend a better tattoo experience in the area.

I have known Dave Bozeman, the owner of the shop, for many many years.  In that time, have seen him develop into one of the premier tattoo artists in the world.  Yeah... I fucking said it... "IN THE WORLD!"  Not just Houston... not just Texas... THE WOOOOOOOOOORLD!  Being a pretty darn good tattoo artist myself, I'm not saying this lightly.  This guy puts the "artist" in "tattoo artist", (something that's not really commonly associated with the vagrant scratchers who frequent many of the shit holes around, believe me).

Now, let me also say that I am what some might call "pretentious" and "opinionated" when it comes to art in general.  It's more like that I'm what those things want to be when I grow up.  I express this to you because I want you to realize the gravity of my words when i sing this man's praises.  I'm not some sycophantic suck up who's hoping to get a good deal on a tattoo or just talk my friend up.  Just look for your fucking self and you'll see the truth to my statements.

If you want some of the best tattoo work in the world, you'll go see Dave Bozeman.

Awesome shop and crew. I get tatted by Dave Bozeman (Bossman) the owner. I've been going to him for 5 years now. He really is the real deal. I never shop for price when looking for an artist, just artwork quality. It's a plus that he charges reasonable prices on tattoos. His shop is laid back, professional, and friendly. This shop focuses mostly on custom artwork, instead of you picking out a drawing off the wall, although they are willing to draw anything. One thing I like a lot here is that they are willing to work with you, meaning you can tell them an idea of what you want - they draw it up, if you don't like it or you want to change something they are more than happy to keep on drawing till it fits to your liking. I've came across other shops where you have to tell them exactly what you want or they can't come up the drawing, almost as if they are not artistic enough to come up with something of their own. And then they might get an attitude if they're asked to change the drawing. This is NOT the case here at LOCALLY FAMOUS TATTOOS. I give Dave an idea of what I want and he always comes up with something way better than I pictured. Oh yah and he takes his time tattooing unlike other shops. He's an award winning artist. All their clients are on word of mouth and on appointment basis. They might take a walk in if someone didn't make an appointment but usually you have to make an appointment.
