Great job @ Rainier Club on July 27th for the Torchlight Parade party! Everyone loved the great henna designs. Thank you.

I was at the waterfront today for the Navy ships and the Blue Angels; got a shooting star henna; quick and easy and very nice.  I hope to get more or stop by your shop to see other tattoos.

    Thanks!

Okay, I must say that stopping by this booth at the park this past weekend was well worth it. My family and I wanted something spontaneous and memorable for our outing to Seattle. We took a roadtrip out of Portland to get a change in pace and scenery. We make it a point to do something outside of Portland very frequently. Well, this henna place was memorable and the henna very easy and fast to get. Some of us got cartoon characters, while others got hearts and other deep thinking tattoos. This was fun!

I have a gorgeous henna design on my hand and am absolutely in LOVE with it!   Krysteen's freehand precision is amazing. I didn't have a specific design in mind I just wanted her to freestyle and: WOW.  The speed at which she handles these intricate patterns is fascinating to watch, and of course her conversation is always interesting and fun.  Then there is the authentic artistry, elegant and beautiful. You also get careful instructions on how to care for it and make it last longer.

All this week I've been showered with wonderful compliments (and grilled with curious questions) about my henna. Krysteen is the best of the best!!

I've been a fan of Krysteen from Mehndi Madness for over 10 years!  She's the most brilliant, creative, artistic henna designer I've ever met.  She uses all natural and organic henna.  Her shop is filled with gorgeous design books.  While chatting with her you can learn so much about the culture, tradition, and symbolism behind your designs.  Use henna as a celebration, treat to give yourself a boost, or practice round for your next tattoo.  It's truly a gift - and hopefully you get to enjoy some soon in her new greenlake shop!

    Fantastic!

I wanted to have a little design done to accentuate my cool costume for a show and BAM! Krysteen got it done perfectly.

Then, I took my little one back for a tinsel extension and she had it in her hair before my little one knew it and she LOVES it.  Much easier and better than letting her really dye her hair pink, she's got this little streak that shows through and looks great.

If you're considering a tattoo, Krysteen can do something in Henna or Jagua in the area you're thinking about and you can 'try before you buy' and make sure it's the right fit for you.

And parties, oh, hell yeah! She can do the amazing cool hands/feet henna for a whole group if you want her to.

    Awesome, pure awesome!

I am finally able to sit and write a review of this lovely space. i went in on a visit to their opening. What a delight.
I had personal time with a charming practitioner, divine cookie.. ok, cookies - chocolate chip- homemade from a place nearby and a free intro henna.

I have known henna artists from here at many festivals and have always loved their work.

they are consistent with careful attention and lovely designs. It is up to you or me how we care for this afterwards.. I can stretch out the time over a week by not washing dishes, etc.. I got many wonderful compliments on my henna.
    I will be back.....

I love henna so much!  It's great for "scratching the itch" of tattoos: you don't need a big commitment, you just have fun with some beautiful designs.

I've gotten both henna and jagua from Krysteen from Mehndi Madness.  Jagua is similar to henna, but it's a dark blue paste.  You only need to leave on for three hours (which makes me like it so much more than henna!)
When I got jagua done at the Greenlake street fair a few weeks ago, I brought in some Moroccan designs from web -- she did an amazing job!  I've uploaded a pic from when I was waiting for the paste to dry.   Which reminds me, because of the location of the jauga, where walking would smear the paste, she let me hang out in her booth until it dried.  She was a lot of fun to hang around with... we had deep philosophical discussions about '80s hair  :)

Krysteen and her "co-henna-er" artists are at a lot of festivals and street fairs, so I haven't gone into to her shop in Greenlake yet.  But I did stop by to check it out when they were closed, and it looks like an adorable shop!  I can't wait to get another appointment!
