So I did some research and decided after the good reviews on Yelp to finally go get my second tattoo at Miss Heidi's. Â My appointment was on March 9th at 7pm with Amy. I had sent Amy a picture of the tattoo design I was interested in so she could be prepared for me.
I got there a little early. Amy showed me what she had ready for the design I wanted. It seemed a little big. Â So after some back and forth discussion, she came up with a modified design of my original idea for my aquarius sign. Â It turned out awesome. Â I love it! Â I would have reviewed them sooner but I really wanted to see how it looked after it had healed up a bit.
I would definitely go back there to get my next tattoo. Â The staff there is super nice and they really want to work with you to make sure you get the tattoo that is right for you. Â I will recommend them to any of my friends looking to get a tattoo.
Thanks to Amy! Â She is great!
A few of my friends have been to Miss Heidi's for ear piercings & I wanted to go somewhere that had good reviews! I went here last weekend to get the rook pierced on my ear. Madame Karen helped me & she was awesome. Informative & quick.
I would definitely recommend Miss Heidi's if you're looking to get some piercings done. I haven't been here for a tattoo but there are some great reviews for that part of the business too. :)
Over a year ago now, my friend and I had found this place while seeking a great shop to get pierced.
What a great, clean and easy experience, and what a bargain!
At that time they were offering 2 piercings for 35 dollars. Madame Karen I believe did our piercings, and let us split the deal. My septum was quick and painless, healed great. She was extremely funny in her own way. My friend got her lip pierced, again... super simple.
I have not had a tattoo experience here yet, but will update when this comes, as I am extremely interested in Ms.Heidi's work. But for quality piercing services..A++
During my tattoo artist exploring quest, I have came across this little tattoo shop on Lee Rd. Curiousity has led me to come in and check out each individuals work. While doing this I was automatically blown away by Miss Heidi's work. My goodness, her work screams work of art and she creates alot of beautiful portrait masterpieces. You can tell all the tattoo artist are passionate here and I would of had a more detailed review however I could not get my foot tattooed b/c Heidi does not tattoo feet  =( I didn't ask why but regardless they are all very talented here.
Review Source:Miss Heidi's was recommended to me when I asked around for a good place to get an old faded tat redone. Â It took me three trips to decide what I wanted to do and each person I talked to was helpful and made me feel very comfortable. Â My 15 year old tattoo was able to be incorporated into a new bright updated one and I couldn't be more pleased.
Review Source:I wanted to get my nose pierced for a while. I'm not a big tattoo or piercing person so I did a lot of research before choosing a place. I read great reviews on Miss Heidi's so I decide to go one random day after work.
I could not have been happier. The place is REALLY clean. Â Everyone there is SUPER nice, including Madame Karen (the piercer). She explained everything to me and answered any questions. Her prices are really good too. I only waited 15 minutes (while she sterilized the stud). I've had my piercing for 4 months now and didn't have any problems or infections. I totally recommend Madame Karen to anyone looking to get pierced.
Freak at Miss Heidi's has tattooed me and just about every one of my friends. Â He is a true artist and totally amazing. Â He's currently working on my half sleeve. Â I gave him my idea and he drew it out. Â It is a work in progress. Â Every time I go get work on it I always feel comfortable that I am in a clean and safe environment. Â Freak is laid back and always cracks jokes while he's inflicting pain on me. Â I always have a great time.
Review Source:After some careful searching, I chose Todd at Miss Heidi's to do my third tattoo. I'd been thinking about it on and off for the last year and a half and decided to take the plunge in January.
I went to the shop to check it out on a Friday night and found it immaculately clean and organized. As a healthcare professional, this was as important to me as the quality of the artwork. I made the appointment for Sunday and was asked to put down a $20 deposit to secure my spot, which would go toward the cost of the tattoo.
On the day of the appointment, I chatted with Todd for awhile before he free-handed my soon-to-be new ink. His strong suit is gray and black shading, which was one of the reasons I chose him. He explained to me that, because it was on my foot, the tattoo would fade but touch-ups are included in the price. Nice! True to his word, it ended up fading pretty significantly, but he answered all my questions when I called the shop.
I returned today to have it worked on again and I'm happier than I was when I left after the first session. The shop was still sparkling clean and everyone working was nice and complementary of Todd's work.
One thing of note... I'm a pretty conservative looking gal, but I love tattoos. That being said, this was the first shop I've been to where I didn't feel "un-hip" when talking to the different artists and piercer at the shop. It's the intangible things like that that keep me coming back to a business, and I'll happily recommend anyone interested in a tattoo or piercing to Miss Heidi's.
For the last month I have really been wanting to get a nose ring and even tested it with a fake one for a while (that's what she said). Â So after eating lunch with the ladies Sunday, I said why not?!
I called over to Miss Heidi's (suggested by Alexis N) to confirm I did not need to start with a hoop and it was confirmed I could get a stud, DONE!
Drove over and took the plunge with Madame Karen. Â She was very informative and sweet. Â She talked me through the whole process (total 20 min with 15 min ring sterilization, super quick) and was very gentle. Â
I love my piercing and would suggest Madame Karen @ Miss Heidi's to anyone looking to get a piercing, so clean!
Miss Heidi is the best tattoo artist I've had and widely renowned beyond just the central fl area. Â She was at a shop downtown, but has now opened her own place at Lee Rd & Edgewater adjacent to west coast choppers. Â I've flown 3000 miles back from Northern California to get a tattoo from her - twice. Â I guess that says it all about Heidi. Â
She's also got two new artists working there. Â I've met one, Freak, and I am suitably impressed by his work. Â This is a great place to get high-quality ink - have something custom drawn up, get a portrait, or do a cover-up - and they have a low flat rate for all piercings that includes jewelry, if that's your thing. Â
Unfortunately, If you're looking for a particularly offensive tattoo in some horrible part of your anatomy, you'll probably have to find somewhere else. Â Same goes if you're under 18 - you can get a piercing with permission but no tats. Â If you don't already know someone there, you'll have to go by as they won't take appts over the phone. Â It's worth the trip, though, to see everyone's portfolio, meet nice people, check out the artwork, and enjoy the most absurdly nice & comfortable ink studio I've ever seen, especially in Florida. Â And if you're nice, maybe Heidi will show you her back - it's awesome :)
