  Had appt but had to wait a bit and was given different artist than promised.  Didn't like the vibe there. Seems like a perfect place for drunk undergrads to get mistakes they'll regret when they sober up.

  I had an idea for a custom tattoo, and both Anne and Danny were patient in figuring out how to make it look best. If you want to schedule an appointment, it's just best to go in and talk things out with them.
  
  The service was great, the price was totally fair and I really liked the atmosphere. I had a great time while getting tattooed by Danny!
  
  I got my first tattoo at Class Act. It was fine, but for my next...there's no doubt in my mind that I will be going to Nemesis.

  I went here for my first tattoo and was very happy with the final product done by John.  Having said that, I think the atmosphere of the shop and the workers was not what I was looking for.  They weren't rude, but they really weren't welcoming either.  I had to drag information out of them and I guess I wanted a bit more enthusiasm and hand holding on my first outing.  Maybe that's par for the course at lots of shops, but I guess I'd recommend hiring a front-end staff that can interact with customers in a more positive manner.  Again, I was happy with the art results which, in the end, was way more important!

  Nemesis Tattoo is great! I've gotten two tattoos and multiple piercings that have all turned out great! They're all willing to help you out with any questions and are all great people to be around. I recommend this to anyone looking to get a great tattoo or piercing in Iowa City from a clean, well managed business.

  The guys that run this shop are all really friendly, cool, dudes. I have five tattoos and one piercing that were done at this shop and I am more than happy with all of them.
  
  All of the tattoos were done by Scotty Potty and he is a great artist, just don't let him scare you with his bitter, angry, old man thing. He is actually a super friendly guy and has a lot of interesting things to say.
  
  My one piercing done here was from Steve and it was a 0g punch on my left lobe to fix some old scar tissue. It turned out wonderfully and I couldn't be happier. Steve has a great "bed side" manner and really knows his stuff. He always explains what he is doing and what to expect next which is great.
  
  The prices are good, they have a nice selection of jewelry, and their are plenty of artists to choose from so you will probably find someone that can do whatever you have in mind. Just bring in some reference material or a solid idea and they can draw it up and jam it into your body permanently!
