I went here for my third and largest piece thus far a few years ago and haven't had one regret about the work. Â It's solid and hasn't shown any signs of fading. Â The staff was super fast, courteous, knowledgeable and the place was clean which is a big gold star. Â The small details of ensuring the droplet action is minimized was one thing that I observed and appreciated. Â I've stopped in a few more times but have to get inspired again for my next piece but without a doubt ill have it done here!
Review Source:I went to No Regrets to check it out and price a tattoo I wanted to get. My mother- and sister-in-law, along with their cousin all have the Chinese symbol for family tattooed on them and I have been meaning to do it for a while. I did some research with the characters, made a copy, and gave it to the receptionist. She was very friendly and professional. After speaking with her I made an appointment for the following week with Eric Van Dyk.
I was very excited to get my tattoo done, it had been 10 or 11 years since my last one. I decided that I wanted cherry blossoms around the characters and downloaded a few pics for some ideas. I arrived a little early so I could discuss the ideas with Eric. He took my ideas and drew up a piece that was beautiful and included all the aspects we discussed!
I love my new tattoo! I am so glad I chose No Regrets! I am working up ideas for another one and I will absolutely do back to Eric at No Regrets when I'm ready to do it!
I've been going to No Regrets since 2007 and have to say their work is beyond superlatives. Â I've had two fully designed custom tattoos with color-work done by Eric Van Dyk, and each time they have exceeded my expectations. Â He is thorough in his work, talented in finding the right placement/design for your tattoo, and has a plethora of experience. Â He is very easy going, loves to laugh, and has a real artistic talent. Â
As far as the shop goes, i've only dealt with Judy (receptionist) and Harley (owner) but both are very welcoming. Â They are happy to discuss your ideas, relate their own experiences, and make you feel at ease. Â It's a cool little shop, without the token 'next customer' attitude you find at most strip mall tattooists. Â I wouldn't even consider another parlor in Arizona.
I went to No Regrets to get a tattoo touched up. Â I have had this tattoo for 12 years and had gotten a touch up before, but it always looked terrible. Â Fritz, the artist I saw at No Regrets was chill, quick and easy to feel comfortable around. Â I walked in, he looked at the tattoo, took about 20 minutes to touch it up with the inks that he mixes himself and now I finally have the tattoo i wanted 12 years ago.
I'll never go anywhere else for my tattoos.
I went to Harley at No Regrets to fix/enhance a tattoo I'd recently gotten on my wrist. Â On a family vacation (on a whim) I went to a tattoo artist, not allowing enough time to get a proper job. Â To add insult, some of the lines were showing some "blowout."
Artists prefer not to come in on something already started by another, but the folks at the shop were understanding about it and helpful.
Harley made it look great. Â He was patient when we were drawing it out so I could make sure it was what I wanted. Â
The rest of the staff was on a mission to entertain everyone in the shop. Â Really fun group of folks in addition to their obvious talent (all their portfolios will blow your mind). Â
NRTP has a laid-back playful yet professional environment in a cool lil building decorated to amaze. Â - Bridget Zeuner
Michael is the best tattoo artist, ever. Go see him for anything you  might want done! To date he has tattooed my husband, brother, mom, best friend, and half a dozen acquaintances. To date, nobody has had any complaints either. He is awesome at drawing and will definitely come up with something you love, reasonably priced, and works quickly (which is a major plus in my book when you are undergoing immense pain) Just an all around funny guy too, you will definitely enjoy your experience :)
Review Source:I haven't been here in a while, and I don't remember names, but I do remember that a group of us came in and more or less got sat immediately as we chose what we wanted. The artist didn't so much as blink when I told him what I wanted, which tells me that this place knows custom work very well. Yeah...mine's the foot.
Review Source:Stopped by yesterday for some work, and i am very pleased with the results. After scouring the internet and questioning friends and aquaintances about the local tattoo parlor scene i opted to just keep it in the neighborhood. I highly recommend Eric, he knows what he's doing and he does it well; my first tattoo was quick easy and relatively painless, furthermore it was only $60. not bad not bad. I will definitely be going back when i have another idea in mind.
Review Source:Got my first tattoo done here when I was 19. They took me in as a walk in and helped me feel very comfortable. It hurt like a SOB because I got it on the top of my foot. But he was patient and reassuring with me. It was clean, very cool decor and the artists are great! I'd definitely recommend it over Club anyday!
Review Source:Apparently my first review got deleted... hmmm...wonder how.
-They're not friendly, no matter how much money you spend/plan on spending.
-They don't talk all that much, so bring an iPod or a friend.
-Their work is exceptional, it's worth the uncomfortable session. I've never gotten a bad tattoo there and don't think I ever will.
-They're really knowledgable about after care, Alex turned me and my boyfriend onto Aquaphor, great stuff.
Is their unfriendliness that big of a deal? Nah, just thought it's FAIR for others to know... since it's an open review site and people come here to see what people think of places and their experiences there so they know whether it's worth their time or not.
I am a big fan of tattoos, my only problem is school takes away all of my money to go towards all my tattoo ideas (What a shame, isnt it?).. BUT every now and then I am able to treat myself to a new one, and then I am satisifed for a bit. I am wanting to get my legs, back, and a full sleeve done eventually but thats beside the point. My 20th Birthday was one of those times I felt like giving myself a "tattoo treat". Now, mind you my experience was awhile ago, January 22, 2008. My hair stylist recommended me to No Regrets Tattoo Parlor, she told me it was rated number one in the valley and how everyone there was really good at what they do. So I went to No Regrets (the day before my birthday) and talked to the front desk girl, who I didnt think was all that friendly but no worries. She set me up with Alex, who seemed very nice and said he would do my newest tattoo, we set up an appointment for my birthday. My tattoo looks awesome, I got some lettering done on my side, but the one thing I didn't like about Alex was how he barely said one word to me as he tattooed me. I like when a tattoo artist talks to me, it makes me feel much more comfortable. And I felt like him and the front desk girl were kind of treating me funny because I wasn't covered in tattoos or piercings. So lets fast forward to a few months later, my boyfriend decides he wants to get his first tattoos. He decides to get something done on the back of both of his triceps. So we go in there, talk to the front desk girl (same girl, still not as friendly) and she sets him up with Alex. He remembers Alex from when I got my tattoo, so he is happy that he knows the guy does good work. So he talks to Alex, and they decide that he can come in the following night to get them done. We go there the following night, and my boyfriend gets his first tattoos. After he got them done and was looking in the mirror, we both realized that Alex hadn't matched them up the same.. but you can only tell if you REALLY stare at them. They looked good, just not on the same spot. Needless to say, I think this place is just okay. The work was good, but I feel like they all need to work on there customer service skills plenty. I will probably not be back here again. Oh and lastly, the decor and inside is nice and clean, plus I enjoyed the music (Mhmmm, bring on that metal!).
Review Source:At 48 years of age, I was a tattoo virgin. Not only did I have no tattoos, I'd never even stepped foot into a tattoo parlor.
It's a long story (that does NOT involve a "mid life crisis"), but I decided I wanted to get a tattoo on my upper arm in permanent homage to the Great State of Texas.
And where the hell was I going to find a place to do this in Arizona?
Enter No Regrets Tattoo Parlor.
I went to a few places, talked to a few artists and people in the stores. Something, and I can't even say exactly what, just sort of put me off. Honestly, they just kinda creeped me out.
Then I walked into No Regrets. The music was blaring, people were laughing and the "receptionist" (or whatever her job title is) was just cool. I liked the place.
Alex was just finishing up someone and in a couple of minutes he approached me. I told him I wanted something in the shape of Texas. We chatted about it, he said, "what about this and that?" and we kind of worked out the idea. And off he he went to the back of the shop.
10 maybe 15 minutes later, he came out with a amazing design and I knew immediately that was "it".
So I laid my butt in the chair and he went to work. *Super* nice guy, told me everything that would happen and gently broke my tattoo cherry.
I *love* the work. Sometimes it still freaks me out that its there, but that's not Alex's fault. The place was clean, the people cool, and the artists are amazing.
I actually found this place by checking out Yelp reviews, and I was not disappointed. Â It definitely deserves the 5 starts it has received from everyone. Â I went in with a simple design, and tattoo artist Bob sketched it up, gave me a couple of ideas of how he could enhance the design while still keeping the original integrity of the look, and went to town. Â He was great, and I'd recommend him to anyone that goes here. Â
The people I observed in this place, both the tattoo artists and those in there to get a tattoo, were not the type that just walked in randomly wanting to get some lame tribal band or a tramp stamp. Â They take their work seriously, and these are real designs going on their bodies. Â The place was clean, the support staff was friendly, and when I get the itch again for my next tattoo, I'm definitely coming back here.
I am in love with this shop. The shop itself, the artists, EVERYTHING. I almost find it funny when someone cuts them self short with some crappy, hepatitis C, half clothing store, half tattoo shop type of place (you know the kind...). Every time I've been here they have exceeded my expectations. None of the snobby, elitest if-you-don't-look-like-lizard-man-you-are-shit attitude like other places. I would fully trust these guys with any idea I had and I'd be happy to pay for their professional, high quality work.
I also wish I could transplant their retro day of the dead inspired waiting area into my living room. Just...awesome!
I wanted to get an Arizona half sleeve to cover up a crappy tattoo that I had gotten done while 15 so I went to some cheapo in Chandler.. bad move. Â So, I came here after and asked Alex if he could "Awesome this up" he did, and now it's rad! Â Good price, great work, this is where I'm going from now on!
Review Source:This place is unbelievably well-run, the owner is very business-like and keeps his parlor well designed with lots of personality and creativity.
they have officially moved to Univeristy and Hardy (right across the street from Harlow's) in to a beautiful new, freestanding building.
Harley (owner ) and Mondo do beautiful work, i should post some work that they've done on my two best friends ( a Virgin de Guadalupe by Harley in his signature traditional style and a Mexican-tyle piece by Mondo).
If you want the best place to get this style of tatooing in Tempe and probably all of pHoenix, come here
No Regrets employs a number of extremely talented artists, I'm always particularly impressed by those who specialize in  traditional/oldschool designs. Their staff is friendly and the decor of the place is awesome...there's stuff to look at everywhere, which is helpful when you're trying to take your mind off the fact that someone is needling ink into your skin at an almost incomprehensible speed.
I don't like the way that all the individual stations are out in the open. Personally, I don't like feeling like I'm on display or having random strangers walk by and ask random stranger questions. I know they're moving to a new location soon, so I hope they incorporate some private rooms.
