Paia Tattoo Parlor

Just not what I was looking for, there are some talented artists here however.
I recommend checking out the Tattoo shop down the street.

Bad experience! Super rude tattoo artist! After reading good reviews and that walk-in's were welcome we headed in to Paia tattoo parlor on our anniversary to get ring tattoos. The guy working at the desk was cool and quite helpful but the only artist working that afternoon was an older red headed woman who not only refused to look our way even though we were mere feet from her, but very curtly informed the guy working the desk that she didn't do ring tattoo's and certainly "not on people who don't even live on island." Not that it should matter but we've been living just down the street from the shop for a few years now lol. While I respect an artists right to decline a job she isn't interested in it would have been nice if she had just been, well, nice! That being said I'm sure we would have had a better experience with a different artist on a different day. We were definitely bummed to be treated so rudely. I work in sales and cannot imagine being so unpleasant to a visitor or a local.  Disappointing to say the least. I come from a family of small business owners and cannot fathom why she would feel that it was appropriate to be that unpleasant to people who had just walked in with money in hand. Talk about discriminatory and lack of aloha. Skip this one folks. From now on we will drive clear across the island for our tats, customer service has to count for something!

While in Maui was looking for a good tattoo artist/parlor as the one I had visited in prior years was gone. While in Paia for lunch, asked around and was told that this place was the best.  My friend and I went in, and immediately felt a good vibe.  The place was clean and had a great atmosphere! The guy that greeted us was cool, asked us what we were looking for and suggested Sadie.  She was great!  I had a small tattoo on my ankle.  I wanted to add one to my foot and connect them.  She is an awesome artist!  I was nervous since it was my foot and I heard how painful it was.  But, it wasn't that bad at all!  She also did a beautiful job on my friends foot as well!  I would recommend her to anyone and on my next trip will be back to have more work done on my back!  Mahalo!
