Location is a tiny bit hard to find- could just be crappy Google maps.... ;) Â Went in here for a VCH piercing and met David, who is very personable and reassuringly professional. Â I asked a couple questions about his experience with this particular piercing, and he didn't act offended at my "interviewing" him a bit. Â (I had done this at two other places in LA, and when they acted put out by my asking questions, I walked out promptly) Â I have had pierced nipples for a couple years, and had debated VCH for the last year. Â Finding someone who projects confidence in their skills and experience really matters to me, and David did just that. Â We discussed aftercare, and he gave me some printed materials. Â I decided to get pierced at the end of our vacation, since the aftercare would be easier at home- and vowed to return the next day. Â The following afternoon, David took his time explaining how the piercing is performed, assuring me that he does not use forceps but a NRT (this is important for VCH piercing). Â After the mandatory questions and paperwork were concluded, he set up his field, and my hubby and I went into the piercing parlor which was orderly, well lit, neat and CLEAN. Â He was really great about involving my hubby to some degree, as I was doing this for him as much as myself. He again explained exactly what to expect right before he pierced- and chuckled just a bit at the string of muttered obscenities that came from my mouth immediately afterward. After both hubby and reviewed the result- he gave me time to get my head on straight. Â I was provided with both anti-microbial soap and sea salt to prepare saline soaks- and he gave me a tip on the best way to soak this particular area in the saline ;) Â Price was VERY reasonable- but you shouldn't be getting pierced at a place based on PRICE, right? Â They use quality jewelry here, which is most of what you're paying for anyways. Â I would absolutely recommend David to both experienced piercees like myself, or the needle-phobic 'virgin'.
Review Source:I was on vacation with my boyfriend and we stopped in to check on a situation with piercings I had for a few years. Roger was kind and informative. His jovial manner relaxed us. We decided to get more piercings and he explained the different gauges, purposes and highlights of the locations. We made appointments and David greeted us when we arrived. David is the owner and is very kind and professional. Clean shop, very professional approach, quality jewelry, and lovely service. Highly recommended. I will be back!
Review Source:I've had a microdermal done before. Â If this had been my first experience with it, I would NEVER have another one done. Â On the positive, now that its healed, yes, it looks fantastic BUT, the overall feeling I got was that he was actually trying to make it hurt, challenging me to show pain. Â The bruising and swelling was awful. Â You get my back up like that and I'd eat my own foot before showing how much the jerk was hurting me. Â My husband and I were also sent off with no paperwork on aftercare. Â True I'd had one previously but that was in another state and you just never know, everyone could use a refresher on the aftercare. Â We won't be back to get the other two for my design here.
Review Source:Girls weekend in PS! Went in to get my nose pierced and David was so awesome! The shop is very clean...I was comfortable and the piercing was quick and painless. I would definitely recommend anyone looking to get a piercing to go here!!!!! I would made the drive here for another piercing!
Review Source:I went with my mom to get my second set of holes for my ears when we were on vacation. I was a bit scared to get it done with a needle and once David explained why needles are much more sanitary I felt a lot better. He explained the whole process and how to clean my piercing afterward. It's been a few days and they've been healing nicely! Highly recommend!
Review Source:Love this place. We stopped in late on a Friday night because we were visiting and I wanted to get my other ear pierced. I was looking for a shol that did piercing exclusively and no tattooing. I was so happt to find Roger and Dave open. Very clean and reputable shop. Great prices and great work. I highly recommend them. Highly!!!
Review Source:When anyone in Los Angeles asks me about whether I know any good piercing studios in the area, my response is invariably, "How do you feel about taking a trip to Palm Springs?"
I've been to piercing studios in Philadelphia, DC, San Francisco and Los Angeles. And this is easily one of the top piercing studios I've encountered. Excellent, knowledgeable staff, high-quality jewelry and a beautiful shop. What more could you ask for?
We live in San Diego and while on vacation in Phoenix last month we met some people that told us about David and the staff at Palm Springs Piercing. One month later we went to Palm Springs for some fun in the sun , we went by and saw the shop and talked with David about a few piercings that my wife was interested in, David and Rodger were fantastic and answered all of our questions and concerns.
Two days later we came back to have David do the work, he was fantastic and did a good job at making her feel relaxed, the whole experience was awesome. They have a great variety of top[ quality jewelry as well as custom pieces available. The store and piercing room are immaculate and we couldn't have been happier or treated better.
What sets them apart is that they are ONLY a Piercing shop, they are NOT a Tattoo shop that also does piercing, and as such are very knowledgeable , the shop is in a nice location right downtown close to good restaurants and shopping.
We highly recommend that if you want to get a piercing of any kind , go see David , Doc and Rodger at PSP you will be glad you did! Thanks guys Scott and Lisa Brawner
I had a great experience here. The shop is very clean, and I felt very comfortable being pierced there. I was very nervous getting my nose pierced, but David was fun and made it an awesome experience. Perfect placement, and I seem to have had a much more painless experience compared to others I've talked to. I attribute this to the skill of the piercer. I would defiteky recommend this place to anyone. Thanks guys!
Review Source:I can't say enough about how I was treated upon walking into the shop. Â Doc was so professional in greeting my best friend and I. We spoke about what I wanted to do and I met David. They acted like we were old friends and David handled me with care from that moment until I walked out. The piercing room was beyond clean. It was a mission statement in itself. I describe the whole experience as therapeutic. I will continue to recommend them to others and will definitely go back in the future for any more piercings I decide on.
Review Source:I would recommend this place to everyone!  David provided the kindest, most gentle service of any piercing shop I've been to.  Even more importantly he used hospital standard cleanliness protocols that even impressed my fiancé, a licensed nurse.  Thank you David and Palm Springs Piercing Company!
Review Source:I got my first piercing ever at Palm Springs Piercing on 3-17-11 when I got a PA. Â I stopped in at the shop last fall while visiting Palm Springs from Washington, DC Â and when I decided to get the piercing I knew PSP was the place I wanted it done. It was worth waiting until I could get back to Palm Springs. Â Bottom line - these guys rock. Â They are extremely knowledgeable and patient and there's no pressure. Â The shop is clean and comfortable. Â David and Dennis were terrific throughout the entire procedure. Â It was such a positive experience I'm planning a whole set of piercings... to be done on a future trip to Palm Springs Piercing. Â I recommend them highly. Â If you're thinking of a piercing, these are the guys to see.
Review Source:What a fantastic shop! Â Starting with Doc and David, uber professional, informed, intelligent, sooo nice and casual. Â They do not talk you into anything you don't need or want. Â Opposite, they want to make sure you are going to love the pieces you choose. Â Have a nape and 15 anchors...and I am deathly afraid of needles. Â They made me comfortable enough to have gone back close to a dozen times for work. Â My partner also has several piercings that he Has enjoyed for many years. Â
As far as safety and clean environment, the ultimate. Â If there is even a hint at a possible contamination, they are ditching/replacing those rubber gloves. Â I feel safer here than I do at my own doctors office. Â
And follow up, they want to make sure you do okay once home. Â They give you specific home instructions, sending you home with post supplies to heal properly. Â
New store on Arenas Road is awesome! Â They have some new non-traditional merch: shirts, bracelets, underwear, sunglasses...oh yes, and steel for piercings.
BTW - My rationale for choosing moderate price was not that it's expensive, but rather because it's a quality shop. Â Compared to other piercing locales of this caliber, this shop is very well priced.
I was looking for this very specific piece of piercing jewelry: 00ga PA bent-barbell. Â I scoured the piercing stores of San Francisco and Los Angeles (I even tried to special order it though the internet) -- none of them had what I was looking for. Â However, to my surprise the guys at the Palm Springs Piercing Company had what I needed in stock. Â I can't thank them enough!
Review Source:My buddy Bob is 65 yrs. old and wanted to get his nipple pierced. I wanted to get a couple of ear piercings. We went to P.S.P.C. and found the most informative pair of guys working there. Â The place was well stocked, very clean, with lots of selections of rings, loops, rods in many colors and sizes. Â The guys use very sterile technique doing the piercings. Very professional. Ask for Doc, or Dave. You guys are the best! Â Thanks, James
