My husband and I went to Paris Tattoos after I spoke with someone on the phone. Â We were looking for a consultation on what we wanted done, and a cost. All though we were a few minutes behind schedule and the person I spoke with was not available, Paris spoke with my husband and myself, and gave us a price range. He recommended Mary Jane for the style we wanted, and walked us to the front. She was with a client at the time, so we could not get on the books at that time. So, Paris took our contact info and made a note for her to contact us to schedule the work. He advised she would be in touch within a few days, and indicated Tuesday was the latest we should expect a call back.
HOWEVER, that was now over 2 weeks ago! She STILL to this day has yet to call or contact us. So, nearly a week after we stopped into Paris, my husband asked me to do some research and we found another shop we could not be happier with. So much so, my husband is getting more work done.
I am not doubting the professionalism or the talent Paris himself has. He is a very talented artist by far, but his style is different than what my husband and I were looking for. However, I will give a word of caution and say if you are considering Mary Jane, think again. If she feels that 6 hours of work is not important enough for her to call a potential client back, then my guess is she will take the same approach with others down the line. Because of this, we do not have a desire to do business with this shop or recommend it to anyone. In fact, we advise our friends to go where we did where one feels the business is appreciated and valued as well as have some great talent in the shop.
Sorry to have to give your shop a bad review, Paris. I do wish you well, and hope things will change to improve the over all customer appreciation and customer service.
I did quite a bit of research before getting my first tattoo. I saw that around the corner from our apartment was this tattoo parlor called Paris Tattoos. I decided to stop in here to see what kind of availability they had and what they could offer as far as a design. The owner was very welcoming and honest as he commented on the fact the he, himself was booked for the next 6 months. He then told me that he had an apprentice Conan working under him, who had a much more open schedule.
I then proceeded to talk with Conan and he immediately understood exactly what I wanted. In fact I give all the credit to Conan for coming up with my unique design based on a couple of google images. I was able to come back in the next two days to get the tattoo. Conan was a perfectionist and completed the tattoo adding in good conversation and encouraging comments.
After my check-up I had Conan add to my tattoo and being the perfectionist that he is touched up my tattoo to get the perfect coloring.
I waited 10 years to finally sack up for my first tattoo and I can't be happier having gotten it done at Paris Tattoo from such a creative artist like Conan.

While sitting at Liberty, I notice how beautiful Paris Tattoos is from the outside. I then did my research. I been wanting a 2nd tat. But still debating. When I walk in there. I made up my mind. Booked my appt w.Marcus Lund. Marcus is definitely a different type of bred. He's very mellow, artistic and took my vision to a different level. I love my tattoo.
The preparation and time it took to prepare for the service was great. I felt like Dexter have gotten a hold of my area. It made me feel very good and confirm that I made the right choice.
Paris was very on top of my aftercare. He wanted me to come back in twice. And mention I should come back 6 months later. I will definitely come back. I will have Marcus give me another tattoo when he's in town again.
When I first walked into Paris Tattoos I was amazed at how beautiful and upscale it looked. I knew instantly that he was going to be worth any money spent.
We instantly started talking about ideas and he made me feel very comfortable and confident that I was making a good choice. The end result was fabulous! Somehow he even minimized the pain! I am already thinking about another and I will only be going to Paris.
Oh! and Alexandra is very sweet and charming, she will make you laugh and feel right at home. The typical tattoo shop in Charlotte does not have the professional atmosphere of Paris Tattoos, there any client will feel comfortable. They even care about what happens when you go home with your new art, explaining the best way to care for it. Perfect for someone who has not gotten any ink yet.
His prices were fair, and he is honest and compassionate. I am proud to let everyone know who had a hand in making my shoulder beautiful.
I just can't say enough! I wish the best to that little beautiful shop :)
I've had work done in a few studios over the course of fifteen years, and they simple do not compare to Paris.
It's shocking to have an artist of this caliber in the Charlotte area, as Paris has won numerous awards, including the EB-1 "Extra Ordinary Outstanding Artistic Achievement Award" given to only the most talented artists in the world (only a few tattoos artists ever). He was very thorough and honest about the work I wanted done, and I could not be happier with the amazing outcome. The quality and detail does not compare to my other tattoos- - not at all.
The impeccably clean studio is as beautiful as an art gallery, you'll find it located in Southend at South Blvd and East, next to The Liberty and underneath Pewter Rose.
His prices are incredibly fair, they ask for a reasonable reservation fee to hold your appointment, which is then applied to your total cost. I was under the impression he does not (or rarely) takes walk ins for tattoos, but I was able to make an appointment three days out.
Alexandra is also charming and wonderful, I plan to go back to have some permanent make up done, as she highly qualified and extremely talented. I think she takes piercing walk ins, as she had a steady flow of customers all afternoon when I was there last week.
It has been six days, and my tattoos are healing beautifully, and incredibly fast. I'm already planning my next visit.
Paris Pierides is a world-class tattoo artist, and we are lucky to have him here in town. He's been featured in several tattoo magazines, and his new business in Charlotte is an elegant, sophisticated setting, something we don't have enough of in the tattoo world here in Charlotte. His black and grey work is top-of-the-line, but his color work has a soft, painterly feel that will turn heads. Go see him!
