I LOVE this place! They have donw all my tattoos (all 10 of them) and each one gets compliments on a daily basis. The color ROCKS and the atmosphere was amazing! :D VERY happy with my last one, I brought in a design, the looked at it made a few suggestions (which I never thought of) got right to work and were WONDERFUL! I can't say enough good things about these guys!
Review Source:I heard great things about this shop and stopped in for a consultation. The man that looked at my idea (a geometric design with a bunch of straight lines and dots) told me it was too difficult. That would be fine, but he also told me no one in town would want to do the work. Rude. And untrue. I went to a popular shop in town with no problems. This shop might give excellent tattoos but they won't get my business.
Review Source:Where do I start? Well, everything about this place is fantastic! I was greeted immediately as I walked through the door, and asked if they could do anything for me. I showed the person at the front counter, Krish, my ideas; some photos on my phone of what I wanted. He set me up with some of the artists portfolios while he went back and talked to the artists. After looking through the portfolios, I came across an artist I really liked, his name was Etzel. I asked if he was able to do my tattoo, and of course, they said yes. The work was AMAZING! Etzel was a super relaxed down to earth guy who made the whole situation very comfortable to be in. I've received tons of compliments and have had friends get work done by Etzel because of the one he did on me. Bottom line: If you want a professional tattoo, good service, fair priced tattoos, and a comfortable environment, go to The Parlour Tattoo shop!
Review Source:I had been looking for years to find an artist I felt comfortable enough with to have them do my tat. I found Jimmy Singleton at The Parlous Tattoo and couldn't be more happy with the results. He completely captured the image I had in mind and has laid down the base for what I know will be an amazing piece once it's completed. His mastery of shading and color make his work pop and give it incredible visual clarity. The man is an artist. I watched a few of the other artists while there and saw that this shop is filled with this type of talent. I would recommend Jimmy highly to anyone wanting something special on their body that makes a statement.
Review Source:4 out of my 5 tattoos were done by Demian here. I am always pleased with his artwork, two were my design and two he created from me just talking about it, didn't need to adjust them at all. Everyone is nice and makes you comfortable, even if you're a tattoo virgin. My husband has two tattoos that were done by Josh, one was an extension of a pirate flag into a whole shoulder piece, he blended it all together really well and left it open for more additions. The artists here are great, we try to always get our work done here.
Review Source:I called to make an appointment because of all the other reviews on yelp saying they were great. They told me they don't take appointments over the phone but to come in three days later and they could get me in right away. When I arrived they were completely booked. When I showed them my design they hemmed and hawed over it for twenty minutes and finally told me it would be impossible to do. They then took a phone call and made an appointment over the phone right in front of me! So obviously they lie. They were impolite and completely unhelpful. I will never go back. I drove straight to Area 51 Tattoo and asked for an artist. Â The first two who came out looked at my drawing and said, "No problem. That's beautiful." I scheduled with them and Russell did an amazing job.
I would have respected the parlour if they'd told the truth and said, "I just don't want to do your tattoo."
The star says it all, "Eek! Methinks NOT."
I have only had one tattoo done here, but it was the largest piece I have to date. In February of 2010 I started getting a back piece. I knew a few people who worked here, and they recommended that I talk to Josh. I talked to him, Showed him some photos of what I had in mind, Expressed that it would be covering up another tattoo that I had on my lower back. We discussed size and we were both on the same page. Since the piece was so large and free flowing he drew it all out by hand with a sharpie. It looked great.
There was not real intricate detail and he didn't outline any of it. Just started with shading.
He thought he could finish it in one sitting, and he could have if I wasn't such a "punk Bitch." About half way in I had to call it quits.
After It healed (and in the mean time looked like a chopped down tree) I went back in to have it finished. The second time around he free hand drew the branches back on with minor changes, which I loved even more than the first set.
The Tree turned out beautiful!!!
I got it touched up this past April. And It is still gorgeous. He did a great job. I would go back and recommend him to everyone. I am so happy with the work he did. Every time I see it, or get compliments on it from others it just reminds me that I picked an amazing artist with great talent who could turn my thought into an image.
Here is an image of the piece.

I recently had my first tattoo done here. I wanted one on my left collarbone, and expected it to hurt because it's such a thinly skinned area. Despite the fact that it was a lot less physically painful than what I had expected, I was pleasantly surprised that my tattoo artist (Jimmy Singleton) was trying hard to distract me - he knew it was my first time. He was talking to me the entire time, and before he got started on it, he was very meticulous about what I exactly wanted, and in what kind of script. He customized it on my skin with a sharpie, which I really liked. He proceeded after I gave him my approval. The whole process took about 30 minutes, and I could really tell that he really cared that I did like my first ink job - he was careful, but all the while talked to me like nothing was happening. The sensation was a bit uncomfortable, but nothing anyone else can't handle! I love my new tat, and I get compliments on it quite frequently. The price came out to be $60, so I threw in an extra $10 for tip. Later on I was told it was overpriced, but I didn't mind spending a little extra on my first tat! I definitely recommend this place.
Review Source:This is the best Tattoo shop in Eugene. Â This review is specfically for Jay at the parlor he has done all my work and I plan to continue using him for all my future ink while here in Eugene. Â He can draw up anything for you and his style centers around traditional japanese tattoo's but he has experience in most styles. Â I got my first tattoo from him last year and he made it an enjoyable expierence, helping me through it and understanding this was my first and I wanted it to be perfect. Â The place is a clean and relaxing enviorment to get inked and the prices are competitive with any other place in town. Â If your looking for a place to get your first tattoo or just need a good artist, Jay at The Parlour is the way to go.
Review Source:This tattoo shop really wasn't our first choice, as we'd been referred by a friend in Fort Collins to got to High Priestess, but let me say, it was a FANTASTIC experience.
The staff are friendly and joke a lot. Â
My three friends got in, just by WALKING IN -- all three of us managed to go back to back with a relatively new artist (which honestly made us a bit wary) - His name is Etzel. Â And he's great. Â Truly. Â He has a natural talent - He did a star with my gal pal's daughter's name - great.
I wanted a Rimbaud quotation on my upper ribcage done in my handwriting in french. Â He got my writing spot on (i know it's with a stencil, but that's still hard!) Â I am in love with it.
He then did Colorado state flowers on my gal pal Luci's foot. Â His color use was absolutely great. Â We were all ecstatic. Â I recommend Etzel!
P.S. Prices are decent.
Some friends of mine dropped in to town for a short visit- less than 24 hours. Â They wanted to get tattoos. Â One of them had heard about High Priestess and we headed there to drop in and see if we could get in on the same day. Â They were booked, but recommended we try The Parlour instead.
We are so glad we stopped in. Â Our artist, Etzle, was awesome. Â At first, I was a little apprehensive about him because he hasn't been a tattoo artist for very long. Â He did an amazing job. Â One of the girls with me is an artist and drew up our designs before we came in. Â Each of us had chosen something deeply personal. Â Etzle talked to each one of us about our choices. Â He gave us his artistic perspective and really added to what we walked through the door with. Â He was professional, personable, and really good at his job. Â I'd recommend Etzle and The Parlour to anyone looking for a great tattoo experience.
Cost was pretty average for a tattoo shop. Â Friendly people.
Not only did our tattoos turn out fantastic, but we also had a really good time.
I would and always recommend this shop to anyone that asks. I have been tattooed by everyone that works there with the exception of Demian, But highly recommend him as well. The shop itself is clean and comfortable, and I would guess you will not only get a great tattoo but you'll have fun while you do it.
