A Perfect Enhancement

All I can say is that I am VERY HAPPY with the work that Ursula has done on me.  Everything that Lori I. said is true.  

I got my eyebrows and eyeliner done, and retouched after several years.  I've referred a couple of my  friends to Ursula as well, they both got their eyebrows done and couldn't be happier.

I will keep referring my friends to Ursula because she is the best.

I had my eyeliner done with Ursula and it was so crooked and thick.  It has been several years since I had it done with her and I'm thinking of lasering it off.  I can't believe she was going to make it even thicker.  I asked her for a refund.  I can't believe she has been doing this for awhile.
I had to go to Gigi to try to get it fixed, but it is so thick and the only way to thin it out is wait till it fades or laser.  It was definitely not a PERFECT ENHANCEMENT!

October 2011: Ursula is moving to Seattle and is not accepting any more appointments. She was awesome, but no longer available. If anyone has great recommendations for this type of service, let me know!

Ursula at A Perfect Enhancement is a cosmetic tatoo artist that is picky, conscientious, patient, and very detail oriented.  She prefers to do the job over 2 or 3 sessions (or even 4) instead of just rushing through one session.  I came to her after being highly recommended by several people, including a massage therapist and a makeup artist.

2006: My first eyebrow tatoo was NOT with Ursula.  I looked in the paper and won an "eyebrow and eyeliner tatoo" from the Star Bulletin "Bidding Advantage".  When I went there for my eyebrow, she used a numbing cream, but it didn't seem to work as I still felt every single needle blasting into my face.  When I went for my follow-up session 2 weeks later, the lady said "oh, I'm going to run the needle across the eyebrow to break the skin first, and then I'll put the numbing cream on" Well, it made the first session feel like heaven.  That lady was the devil in disguise.  I cancelled my eyeliner appointment because I didn't want to put myself through that torture again, especially so close to my eye.

So needless to say, since my first experience with cosmetic tatooing was so horrible, I didn't think I would ever do it again.  And the eyebrows weren't even perfect after all of that.

2009: my tatoo is starting to fade(which is normal with the pigment they use now) and I want to get it done right this time. I keep hearing about Ursula through different people.  How come I've never heard of Ursula before? How come she doesn't have any advertisements or any coupons in the paper? Because she doesn't need to. Her clients are all repeat clients or friends of those clients. She's done many local celebreties and newscasters eyebrows/eyeliners. But that's not why I went to her.  I heard that it wasn't painful. How could that be?

She has this numbing cream that actually works! And she actually uses it and puts a timer on to make sure it's been sitting on your skin for 13 minutes or however long it's supposed to stay on the skin. Then she resets the timer so if too long has lapsed since she started working on  your skin, she re-applies MORE numbing cream.  I'm such a wuss that if I even felt one needle, I told her "ow!" and she would put more of the cream and wait for it to settle in before starting again.

I was so happy with her work (and her numbing cream) on my eyebrows that I decided to get the eyeliner done too (on a separate day of course).

If you leave the numbing cream on for 13 minutes for each lid, that's 52 minutes of just sitting there waiting for the cream to take effect.  It's well worth the wait. I didn't feel any pain for the eyeliner!! I couldn't believe it.

2010: I just had the brows/eyeliner touch-up. Why so soon? I have oily skin and the pigments just kind of slowly fade.

Ursula schedules her own clients. She is never rushed because she knows how long it's going to take her to do each job. The eyebrow appointment was almost 90 minutes. The eyeliner appointment lasted a little over 2 hours.  She is significantly more expensive than the places you see in the listed in the papers, but you get what you pay for.  

She is located in a gold colored 2-story building before the First Interstate Bldg on King St. (cross street: Akala). There are maybe 4 parking spaces right on the side of the building. I've never had a problem getting a space.  Small room with one chair. No frills. Checks/Cash/credit cards.
