Got a nose piercing here recently and we had a great experience!
Chris helped us through the whole process and was extra patient with us since we were totally new to everything and totally inexperienced. He made things extra easy, gave us his honest opinions and recommendations and eased us into the scary event.
I definitely recommend this place if this is your first time or if you're just looking for a good place to learn and feel comfortable with the people. Special shout out to Chris for being so patient with us even through our hesitations!

Terrie was great -- friendly, helpful, and skillful at piercing.  I'd been having problems with one of my earlobe piercings ever since I got it pierced -- it wasn't pierced straight -- so she corrected it for me.  On a kind-of spur of the moment decision, I got my tragus pierced as well.  Both procedures were clean, quick and as painless as possible, and she instructed me on aftercare and provided some reading materials and a little bag of sea salt for cleaning.

I have wanted to get a helix piercing for awhile now, but was too nervous (I know, I know). I did lots of research and found Pierced Hearts had by far the best reviews. A friend and I went last Sunday, and I was not only impressed, I was blown away! Extremely professional Emily at the front desk, super clean shop, Chris the piercer was calm, thorough and patient with us as we giggled nervously, and it barely hurt. I was blown away! They even sent us home with a goodie bag of after care info and a small bag of sea salt for soaking our piercings. I cannot recommend Pierced Hearts enough. I'll come back for more piercings and probably a tattoo too!

Went in to get my septum pierced today and had a wonderful experience. I'm not new to the piercing world, I used to have 16 piercings in various places and have two shoulder tat's and a couple other tat's.

Although I am not new to this world I was actually quite nervous about my septum. After doing research, and finding that this might hurt a little more than my lip, but not much (my lip piercing was so easy), I decided to take the plunge.

When I got in an apprentice got all of the paperwork taken care of very quickly. I didn't have to wait more than a couple minutes until Chuck was ready to see me.

Chuck took me back to the piercing room and I explained that I didn't understand how, after my tats and piercings, I could still be nervous. She was very sweet and walked/talked me through everything. She told me every time she was going to do something, be it clean my nose, put the dots...etc.

She had me lie down and told me she was going to use her fingers to find my sweet spot, then she was going to position the tube that catches the needle, then she would do the piercing. She had me take a couple breaths, there was a slight pinch, like I plucked a nose hair, and the needle was through. I was so shocked, there was almost no pain at all! At this point I had her stop so my husband could take a picture of me with the needle sticking out of both sides of my nose.

After that she quickly put the jewelry in my nose. I've heard this can be the most painful part because the piercer often has to move the nose around when getting it it. Chuck was also very good with this and did not cause me any discomfort.

She explained how to let it heal, how to clean it, and made sure that I would call them with any question I might have. I think the price was good but can't remember as I ended up also buying my husband a nice pair of larger earrings.

Out of everywhere I have gone and every piercer I have had, I think this is the best location and Chuck has to be the best piercer. I will definitely go back when I want something else done!

Photo to come when it has healed a little.

I got my nose pierced here yesterday for my birthday after being referred by a friend. I have to say I felt comfortable as soon as I walked in and was greeted by Renee.....she was so patient and kind,,,,,,she showed me studs in the tiny size I wanted and I just let me take my time to make sure I chose the one I really liked the best. And Chuck, the piercer, was very kind as well. She did a fantastic job and would come here again.......it was well worth the drive. Thanks again ladies for making my experience so awesome!!

Great place for tattoos and piercings. I came here with my sisters to get piercings and had a great experience. Our piercer was kind and very patient, it was my second time getting my helix pierced, first time for my sister.

Really good price for the piercing and earring too!

So, a year ago I was sitting behind the counter at the Grand Illusion between shows, reading a book or something. I looked outside at the sun and all the people walking around and I was like, "I should just go get my septum pierced, right?"

I was 32 at the time and only had three other piercings - my ears (thanks, creepy mall piercing kiosk in Richmond, VA) and my labret, which was done on my 18th birthday at Laughing Buddha and was seriously so long ago that no one can remember it ever happened. I was getting ready to take out my labret because my dentist was always like, "TAKE IT OUT YOU'LL RUIN YOUR LIFE" and I was finally starting to pay attention after years of being too cool to care about gum grafts and other terrifying and expensive medical concepts. I didn't want to stop having a thing in my face that was weird and looked creepy and would make my mom uncomfortable, though, and I'm pretty obsessed with symmetry, so the septum was the only other logical choice.

I'd done some casual browsing of Yelp before I decided on this place based on its reviews; luckily, it's only a few blocks away from the GI so after a short walk I arrived. The woman behind the counter was nice but pretty businesslike. I told her I was "thinking about having my septum pierced" and it was clear that was enough for her to give me some paperwork to fill out, make a copy of my ID, and ask me which jewelry I wanted. Before I knew it, she was asking me to follow her back to the piercing room. I was like, am I still thinking about this? Because this is happening.

The piercer was very professional and kept the whole thing super sterile and painless. It did hurt a little going in but much less than I'd worked myself up to deal with. The jewelry going in was probably the worst part since it involved some jostling and the hole was pretty sore, but it was over almost as soon as it began and I looked at myself in the mirror and was pretty into what had just happened to my face.

I was given a lot of aftercare instructions which I followed to the letter, and when I came back in to buy new jewelry they offered to put it in for free. The whole experience was great with zero problems or bad feelings. If I ever decide to get pierced again, I'm definitely coming back here.

I highly recommend this shop- All the artists are amazing, between all of them can do almost any style of custom tattooing. The piercing staff are wonderful as well, having done MANY MANY different ones for numerous friends of mine. I've had my fair share of time in the tattoo chair in many different shops, and what i really love is how friendly ALL of the staff is. Everyone says hello, regardless of who is actually working on you, if your in the shop you're a friend. Other tattoo studios could take a lesson from these guys- i cant wait to eventually have a piece done by every artist there.

My daughter and I went in to get our ears pierced today (2nd for me, 1st for my 6-yr-old).  Chuck was fabulous!  She made my daughter feel totally comfortable and made her giggle when she told Jess to look at the "picture of the little boy's butt" on the wall.  We had a few tears but nothing totally traumatic - a few hours later she says she can't even feel them.  I would totally recommend Chuck and Chris (for his patient answering of all my questions) and I'm planning to come here when I'm brave enough to get my first tattoo. :)

The tattoo artist was really nice and patient with me. At first I wanted get a an initial which looks like a butterfly, but he let me know that it wouldn't look good with explanation and a rough draft of what it might looks like.

Then I showed him what tattoos I have on my back and my rough idea of how I see my tattoos to be like, then he drew me a nice butterfly for me.

I love his patient and advise he had given me, I will be sure to get me next tattoo with them again.

I'm glad I don't have to shop around for a place to get a tattoo or piercing because Pierced Hearts is my spot. I've had three sittings here and a few piercings. The place is clean and open. They have a large selection of unique jewelry. The artists are really good at what they do but also honest if you ask for an opinion.

I recommend talking to Chuck or Terri for piercings... they take great care to make you comfortable and sterile before they poke you.

Both Alan and Hanz are great artists and worked with me to get the tattoo pieces I wanted. Hanz can finish quickly with great lines. He inked some artwork of mine to my back and it healed very quickly. At worst, it felt like a small sunburn for couple days. Alan got inspired from the character I described from a book. He took the inspiration work I had and created an original piece. I didn't direct him but he came up with a badass tattoo that I enjoy immensely.

My next sitting could very well turn into a monthly thing!

I've gone to a few different piercing and tattoo shops in the Seattle area, and have NEVER been more impressed than I was with the people at Pierced Hearts.

The cleanliness, fair prices, professionalism as well as their friendliness... I've gone for piercings twice and a tattoo so far once, and been blown away by how awesome the experience was each time.

I'll be going back without a doubt, hopefully VERY soon.

I did extensive research online because I wanted to get my dimples pierced, & I wanted to make sure I went to the best shop with the highest quality without robbing my bank account. I found this on google & I'm so happy I did. All of the other great reviews on Yelp are completely accurate. I decided instead of getting my dimples pierced my best friend & I would get our belly buttons pierced together. We arrived at the shop fairly late on a Sat night & we were immediately greeted by a gorgeous lady who helped us without hesitation. Her name is Chuck, and she was beyond wonderful. She was very helpful and friendly & even though it was close to closing she didn't make us feel rushed whatsoever. She made great recommendations for jewelry and it was beautiful & super shiny. The shop is very clean & sanitary - not to mention aesthetically pleasing. My best friend, boyfriend & I were all led to the back room. I went first and Chuck was not only professional and thoroughly explained every step of the way, but she was also very personable & asked us questions like how long we've been friends (which only made our best friend piercing body experience that much more memorable). Even though I was scared, she calmed me down and it was over before I knew it. I even got a lollipop! My best friend was up next and we both left with shiny new navels and smiles on our faces.

I have been meaning to get my tragus pierced for such a long time and I am not sure what I had been delaying for but recently, I told myself that I would go ahead and do it finally. I did some research and saw a lot of positive feedback about Pierced Hearts Tattoo parlor that I decided I would try and see if it was a great fit for me.

I emailed the tattoo parlor's email address and got a lovely and friendly response for Terrie who answered all my questions and was kind enough to book my appointment through email. I decided to go here for my piercing because the price seemed reasonable and cheaper than another tattoo parlor that I checked out.

Even though it was cheaper, I was not sacrificing quality and care with the service. the parlor was really clean and the staff was professional. Such a great vibe!

I was nervous when I got to the parlor but I was well taken care of by Terrie and Jay. The piercing process was really great. Terrie made sure I was comfortable and told me what the process would be like so that I could anticipate what was going on and told me about the after-care process.

I felt well taken care of. I love this parlor. I am definitely going back here for any future piercing and/or tattoo (that I am thinking about getting in the near future).

    Thank you guys!

I am a major germophob!! Germs and bacteria scare me, let alone knowing about catching hepatitis, HIV, etc from needles. I have eczema andsevere allergic reactions to metal. I did some research and found out about Pierced Hearts. I am very glad I came here to get my ears pierced. One of the lovely, gorgeous employees greeted me. (I didn't catch her name tho) I felt I was annoying and nervous with me asking sorts of questions. The employee was very knowledgable and she was so sweet! She explained to me the answers to my questions and directions to cleaning my piercing. Pierced Hearts only use high quality grade titanium in their piercings and omg, I can't stress about how clean they are! For example, I was picking out the design of earrings I wanted and she told me that I wasn't allowed to touch it for sanitary purposes. The thing was: it was just display samples and they were not really for use. This was like WOW. This place is clean and I am so glad I came here!!

I was taken to the "piercing room" where Chuck took out all of the supplies for the piercing. Everything came from sterile packages. It is really silly to be really nervous about just piercing your ears when others are getting their tattoos and other piercing areas done, but I couldn't help it.  Chuck guided me through the process. She was so sweet and friendly. I felt completely at ease with her. After 2 pinches, I was already out the door!

The workers here are amazing. They also have a gazillion selection of earrings, which was def. a plus. I got Swarovski crystal studs! :)  It is SO pretty! This place is a definite recommend to anyone who is a bit of a nerve wreck, you will def. be at ease here. Spend a little bit more money and save yourself the trouble about worrying for a lifetime if you caught something from other dirty, shady places.

I went in yesterday to get a VCH piercing and I dragged my best friend into getting one as well. I heard about Pierced Hearts after searching around for a quality piercing place. Read their reviews and decided this was the one. It was a great experience! Chuck was our piercer and she was professional and kind. She guides you through the whole thing and when it was time, it was the quickest 2 seconds. Once the jewelry was in, it was all done. The place is very clean and everything was packaged and new. We were in and out in no time. Love this place!

Was vacationing in Seattle last week and my friend and I wanted to get very small tattoos before we left. We went to a different shop and couldn't get in but one of the artists recommended we come here. When we arrived it was shortly before close so we felt like a bit of an inconvenience but they still agreed to tattoo us as they were both very small tattoos. From being tattooed many times before I was looking forward to getting something so effortless and small and it literally look less than 2 minutes to do. I was very happy at the time but the next day when I took off the bandages I realized how uneven and poorly done it was. Being on my wrist it's something I am constantly looking at and can't help but notice constantly how disappointing it looks. I'm back in Canada now so I can't have them fix it and am already considering getting an artist here to cover it up. It's unfortunate because my friends (who was done by a different artist) turned out amazing and she is really happy.

When I first entered the shop with my girlfriend, we were greeted by Jay. Maybe it was because it was a Monday early afternoon, but Jay was really friendly. My plan was to get a quote for 2 Chinese character that I wanted on my bicep.
At this point, this was the second shop I checked in to get a quote. To sum up the first shop, they were rude to both my girlfriend and I, didn't have any interest in what I wanted, and was over priced. I don't know if tattoo artist realized this, but tattoos are permeant and should be nothing less then perfect.
Anyways back to Jay. He understood what I wanted and that I was just there for a quote and wasn't turned off by that fact. He printed up a rough draft of what I wanted and gave me the price and the option to have the tattoo done at that time. I was pleased with the design and the amount that Jay was asking for.
Now came the time for the ink to meet the skin. I was impressed with not just his work station but with the entire shop. It was very clean and well lit. The needle was still in the wrapper (it's usually a good thing to know that the needle that will penetrate your skin is new) He cleaned, prepared, and then put the stencil on. The big thing I liked was that he wasn't pressuring me and kept making sure that was the location that I wanted. He didn't mind repositioning the stencil.
After he was finished bandaging my fresh tattoo, he explained in details on how to take care of my tattoo. Maybe it's the shop policy to tell everyone they tattoo the process of taking care of a fresh tattoo, but Jay made it seem like he gave a dam. Overall the friendliness, a VERY clean shop, and pricing has earned a 5 star rating and will bring me back for future tattoos.

Like all kids, darling daughter likes to play one parent against another. "Can I get my nose pierced?" she might ask me. "Can I get my belly button pierced?" she might ask her mother, hoping of course that she's going to hit one of us at a momentary point of weakness and have us actually acquiesce to a some ridiculous request. Unfortunately for her, her parents are equally adept. "If your father says it's ok, it's ok with me", my wife might reply--knowing full well that I'm the meanest dad ever. But, when darling daughter came to us and asked if she could get her helix (upper ear cartridge) pierced I was hard pressed to come up with a reason to say no. In fact it seemed like a pretty reasonable compromise amongst the nose and belly button piercing requests.

As for where to get the piercing done, darling daughter only had one place in mind, Pierced Hearts Tattoo Parlor. I have to admit that I was a bit skeptical. Since I'm not one of the inked (or for that matter pierced) masses, I was entirely ignorant of Pierced Hearts and even of the fact that Tattoo Parlors often offer piercing services. Thank goodness I have a teenage daughter to educate me, complete with eyes rolling, sighing and "I can't believe how dump my parents are" body language.

I am told she will one day outgrow this behavior. I am officially skeptical.

Walking into Pierced Hearts I was a bit intimated. Tattoo art on the walks. The continuous buzz of the inking machines behind the counter. A plethora of jewelry and accessories in the front display case--some of which I didn't want to know where they went.

We were greeted by Terrie, who as it turns out is considered to be one of the top piercers in the Seattle.  We started with the paperwork, which consisted of a parental consent form and post piercing care and cleaning instructions. Next darling daughter got to picked out a stud and I got to pay.

Funny how I always end up paying.

Terrie then took us to the piercing room in the back and walked darling daughter through the process.  Everything struck me as being exceptionally professional. The needle Terrie removed from its sterile packaging made the old piercing guns they use at crappy mall stores look like something from a different, even barbaric age. Whereas the guns are designed for mass use with minimum training, the needle Terrie held in her hands was elegant in its simplicity. A tool crafted for use by its master.

Nervous but excited, darling daughter held my hand and with a simple and confident motion, Terrie sent the needle through one side of her helix and out the other. It was a continuous motion that didn't even leave darling daughter with a chance to react. The stud was inserted with equal precision and just like that we were done.

It won't be that long until darling daughter no longer has to ask her mother or me for permission to do all the things that we won't let her do today.  When that time comes, my only hope is that she uses good judgment within whatever context is appropriate. If that context includes a nose piercing, belly button piercing or some other body part that--oh god--is better left hidden from dad, well then, the good judgment I hope she uses is to go back to Terrie and Pierced Hearts.

I came into the shop 3 years ago for my VCH upon recommendation from a friend. I believe it was Terrie that took care of me, and it could not possibly have been a better experience. She set me right at ease. I was confident in her experience, the shop was very professional and clean. I've gone back a handful of times and the wonderful folks at Pierced Hearts are always very helpful and will even provide an assist with changing the jewelry, a major help as it's not the easiest piercing to switch out. After three years, I still remember what great service I was given at the shop and I will definitely be back when I decide to have more work done.

My young daughter recently "earned the privilege" of getting her ears pierced. We were highly recommended to this place by a close friend and frequent patron. Well let me say we are very appreciative for his recommendation otherwise we would have ended up at Claire's in the mall and would have missed out on this gem! It was very clean and the staff friendly and helpful.

My daughter has been very excited to have her ears pierced but the months of anticipation made her quite anxious. A wonderful gal named Chuck helped make my daughter feel very comfortable, explained everything up front, and ultimately made the process simple for her. My wife and I were quite impressed!

My daughter is thrilled with the outcome and was shocked how easy it was. I would give them more than 5 stars if it was an option!

Terrie did my piercing--it was completely painless, a couple pinches and I was done. She made sure it was what I wanted and explained how to take care of the piercings. I was in and out in less than 15 minutes.

The next day, I realized I'd left my ID there, so I went back to pick it up with a friend. He ended up picking out an earring and they put it in for him. Again, super professional and quick. I'd definitely recommend this place!

    LOOOOOOOVE this place!

I had a particular look that I wanted my tattoo to be and after searching high and low, I found Alan with the help of Yelp and Google. Mind you, I'm from the Bay Area and he's in Seattle, so it took a bit of coordination on our parts to make my appointment happen. When I called in to schedule an appointment Alan was booked, however, he was very accommodating and moved some people around to squeeze me (and my sister) in. YAY!!

Now the kicker: When my brother and his wife found out that my sister and I were getting a tattoo, they each wanted to get one too. As a result, we missed the ferry to go into Seattle which made my sister and I late for our appointment. I was nervous when we walked in because not only was I late, I also brought in more people to get tattooed (who had no appointments). When we told them that FOUR people wanted to get inked they didn't even break a sweat.  Alan was patient and accommodating, along with the other guy (I forget his name). They drew up our tattoos then and there, the wait wasn't even that long.

This place is also incredibly clean for a tattoo shop. None of that grimy, dark, looks-like-I'll-get-hepatitis type of place. It's clean, sanitary, and they disinfect the tattoo area before and after. Instructions were clear and any questions were answered thoroughly. My brother kept ranting and raving about how great this place was so clean and how he'd love to come back and get another tat.

    A little food for thought:
Tattoos are a permanent thing. Once its on you, it's ON you. FOR LIFE.
With that said, I am incredibly happy with my tattoo and so are my siblings with theirs. And since my experience with this place was such a positive one I highly recommend going!

    Amazing piercers!

Okay, so I'm totally into the all girl piercing staff, which was something that attracted me to the shop in the first place in addition to their APP certifications, which is uncommon in western Washington.

I came in to get my nipples done on a small whim. I called ahead to make sure they had time for me when I drove over and, since it was the middle of a weekday, they were wide open. I don't remember my piercer's name, but she was professional and gave me a variety of jewelery options. We talked over my options, chose, and then went into the back room.

The room was clean and well-equipped. She took her time marking my nipples at relaxed and erect positions to make sure the piercings would be straight, which was very important to me. She made the piercing itself quick and as painless as possible and gave me very specific aftercare instructions. Overall, it was a professional shop experience.

Even better, the piercings healed well and were placed wonderfully. Although I eventually chose to take them out, I was so satisfied with my experience and would go back for any piercing I wanted to have as well as recommend it to anyone who asked!

This place is wonderful! The staff is so friendly and nonjudgmental! I came here yesterday for a vch piercing. An awkward thing to ask for, but the staff were wonderful and put me at ease. Chuck was amazing, she talked me through the process of the piercing and she is very knowledgeable! I asked her about size/gauge beforehand and she told me she would have to see what I'm anatomically suited for since we're all built differently. It really makes a lot of sense when you think about it that way! She is super sweet and explained the care process in detail and told me to call her if I have any questions. The placement is perfect and I will definitely reccomend this shop to friends!

Anyhoo this place is clean, the jewelry selection rocks, the piercers are funny and friendly, they work fast (meaning less time to panic), the placement of the jewelry is spot on, and the prices are decent.

The only bad thing is parking in this area is a bummer.

I got a small tattoo done here about two years ago. I don't know why it has taken me so long to write a review but I digress. I got the word "create" on my inner wrist, though simple I don't think it was done very well. If you look at it now it is very spotty, like it wasn't colored all the way in. I would get it touched up but I haven't wanted to pay to have something done again that I already paid for once. Disappointing.

However, my friend got a piercing here and totally loved it so it might just be a one off kind of thing, not that you want that when permanently altering your body.

I went to Pierced Hearts 3 weeks ago and had my navel pierced by Terrie.  She was awesome.  This weekend I went and had my nipples re-pierced.  =(  I knew it was going to hurt, but Terrie was awesome again.  And now they are one day old, and feel better than they ever did the last time they were pierced.  I will recommend Terrie to anyone I know that is looking for a piercing, and I will be going to her again, when I get my second nostril ring, and my upcoming ear rings. (Just going to let my nipples, and navel heal first)

    Such a fan!

This place is awesome. I went in for dermals, and I had an amazing experience!
So if you're not familiar with dermals they are expensive, extremely painful, and totally worth it (in my opinion). I was nervous, but my piercer (i wish i remember her name) made me so relaxed.

I literally was screaming and yelling the whole time from the pain and cursing my ass off and my piercer stayed completely calm and professional, not even flinching while piercing me. She gave me great advice before I got them done, being completely honest about the realities of them hurting like shit and eventually rejecting, which I really appreciate. She would've rather me know the facts and get them or not get them at all, which was so refreshing.

I got a bag full of little info things and salt, this place is professional, clean, and extremely affordable for such good work. Mention yelp and you get a discount! My total for two hip dermals was 118, which is actually a pretty decent deal. Yay pierced hearts!

It's kinda sad to see this piece come to completion... granted I was looking forward to this... but finishing the third and final sitting for a sleeve that Alan put alot of work into had this air of finality to it... this is the last time he'll be staring at my upper right arm working on my ode to greek mythology and Japanese style art... two very different things that made my piece what it is.

I have nothing but great things to say about this shop and all the people who work here. It feels as comfortable as sitting at home, and just as welcoming. I always have a good time getting inked and all in all... I can't imagine any place else I'd entrust my most important tattoos to.

Thank you Pierced Hearts, Thank you Alan. I can't wait till I'm sitting in that chair again bro!

I've been debating about a Monroe piercing for a while and when I finally worked up the courage I decided to check out Pierced Hearts off of the amazing reviews.  I gave them a call to see what time they'd be open until and if a piercer would be available and made the trip out to N. Seattle before I changed my mind.  So glad I did.

Met a kick*ss piercer named Chuck.  She was completely informative, sweet, nonjudgmental.  She thoroughly explained everything to me, what to expect, how to clean it, etc, etc and the process itself was quick and just about painless.  I also got a discount on the jewelry since I mentioned I found them on Yelp (another awesome point.)  Which by the way, they've got a ton of pieces to choose from.

About 5 days after my piercing, it felt like the post was a little too short for my liking, which is funny as I was originally worried it would be too long and sticking far out of my face (as I've seen in many YouTube videos.)  I called Chuck up who explained that what was happening is normal, but that I was more than welcome to come get it swapped out.  I went out there that same day and was in/out in about 5 minutes, no charge.  Again, completely friendly and sweet.

My piercing is healing much better now and I couldn't be happier with the service I received.  I would definitely recommend them to anyone looking to get a little something done.  Btw, they even have some amazing artwork for those interested in tattoos.

Overall, the place is bright, clean, friendly and very reasonably priced.  Couldn't have asked for a better experience!

Pierced Hearts is awesome! I've come here for a couple of piercings and I am definetly coming here again.

Terrie and Chuck are both extremely helpful and nice. They walk you through everything and are very patient when I wanted to have them move the marked spot for my piercings a few times. I've called up a few times because I had trouble healing my rook piercing, and Chuck was so nice about it! She answered all my questions and offered up some advice that helped ease the swelling.

I'd recommend this place to ANYBODY.

Amazing place!!  There isn't much I can say that isn't covered in the other 60-odd reviews!

I walked in Saturday afternoon and walked out less than an hour later with three piercings in my ears, done by the fabulously friendly and caring Chuck (of Yelp fame!).  My piercings are pretty standard: both lobes, and a helix on the right ear.

I'd had my lobes pierced nearly 20 years ago as a kid, but the advice I'd gotten from Claire's was all kinds of wrong and I fought infection and irritation for a year before giving up on the piercings.  I could tell this time would be different - Chuck used a needle (practically no pain, just a quick pinch), she was careful with the placements, and sanitation was top notch.  The jewelry sold here is high quality surgical grade metal and the variety is endless.

I'm writing this nearly 24 hours later: my piercings look great, no redness or tenderness or crusting.  The washing instructions were easy to follow, and Pierced Hearts even provided me with a bag of salt to get started with.

I can't believe I waited this long to re-pierce!!  Pierced Hearts was amazing -  is it too soon to be thinking of what I'll have pierced next at this great place?? :)

As someone who spent the formative years of my life having things inked permanently onto my body and odd bits of metal shoved through various bits of flesh, I like to think that I'm a bit of an expert when it comes to places like this. Even after a decade-- yes, I'm old enough to know the words to every song on both 'Dangerous' as well as 'Spellbound'-- I have a spooky sixth sense for these places.

So here it is-- I woke up this morning a bit nostalgic and decided that I was in the mood to relive a bit of my wild youth. After calling a number of local shops, checking Yelp and creeping some message boards I decided on Pierced Hearts. I was impressed with Chuck's excellent reputation, especially for tackling the areas which I delicately refer to as 'lady junk'. After receiving the *best* voicemail from her the deal was sealed, and I was headed down I-5 belting out 'Cold Hearted Snake' and thinking impure thoughts about Jordan Knight (back when we were both young and cute, of course).

After several hours spent in the city, I head into the shop and am immediately greeted by Terrie. She is very obviously one of the most professional Piercers I have ever come across-- she covered the basics as well as the things that I hadn't even thought to ask (all I had on my mind was metal detectors at airports-- and how to avoid a secondary inspection). She has a great room (with a door) at the end of the shop-- truth be told, it's more like a suite. I loved her personality straight off-- she's warm, honest and approachable.

Reading the extensive notes that is included with the aftercare package made me realize how serious this shop is about taking care of their clients. I'm super happy that I ended up at Pierced Hearts-- happier still with the result of my session.

My friends and I wanted to get ear piercings (two of us a helix and one just lobes), and were referred here by Apocalypse Tattoo. Terrie did a great job of soothing my nervous friends, and was extremely patient and gentle. I had two previous piercings that she inserted new jewelry in, and all of this was way less painful than I was expecting.

They were great about explaining what was going to happen before, during, and after the piercing. The facility and their procedures were extremely clean. They provide a ton of literature on caring for your piercing as well as salt to clean it, and they even gave us candy in our little grab bags :)

I'm thinking about getting a tattoo, and I will definitely do it here if the artists are as great as Terrie was at piercing!

I'm currently in the process of getting a sleeve done on my arm, and just had the first piece done by Alan.  I have to say, I am already beyond impressed.  Alan took the reference photos I gave him and drew up some amazing sketches, and was able to get me a quick appointment for the first piece (a tree on my forearm).

Alan is a fantastic worker - he's friendly but not overly chatty, and is more than willing to work to make you comfortable - stretch breaks, quick stops to readjust your position, etc.  His shading is top-notch, as is his coloring work that I've seen.  The price was well below what I was expecting to pay for the quality of work, too.  I can't wait to get the rest of my sleeve done!

I have been wanting to get my cartilage pierced for a while, so looked on Yelp for a place to go (thanks fellow reviewers!) and ended up choosing Pierced Hearts.
It was a bit of an impulse as I walked in one night about 3 weeks ago and told Terrie that I wanted to pierce my ear.
She was really nice and made me feel really comfortable about the whole process which was super quick and practically painless! She gave me all the info I needed and reassured that I could call if I had any questions whatsoever.
I am pleased with the piercing and my experience and would recommend it to others!

The jewelry selection was also very impressive and the store was very very clean. I would definitely come back to Terrie for another piercing!

Ok, I need to give Pierced Hearts another star.

I got my nose pierced at the end of December, and have had some issues getting it to heal after an initial adjustment in January.  Between seasonal allergies and having my baby knock it once (YEOW!) it got a bit angry.

Terrie's been really amazing at helping me tailor my treatment plan and making sure that it heals well.  I've had to have her switch out jewelry a few times and update my daily piercing care routine to fine tune what works for my body, but she's has been extremely helpful, and my nose is 90% healed and doing wonderfully now.  I'm very happy, because I really, really, really want to keep this piercing.

I had my nose pierced a few years ago at another reputable shop, but ultimately had to take out the piercing because I didn't get this kind of healing support after the fact.

She also remembers me every time that I've gone in for help (even though it's only once a month or so), which is also very nice.

    Thanks Terrie!

I haven't had any work done by Pierced Hearts (yet!), however on a recent trip to Seattle I stopped in to see their jewelery selection. I walked out with almost $250 in plugs!
Awesome selection of well made wooden plugs in tons of different designs and wood tones. The girl behind the counter was very friendly, talkative and patient with me as I painstakingly picked out six pairs of plugs!

I just got a tattoo done here by Lance yesterday.  I had come in before with some ideas for a custom piece and Lance was able to take my ideas and make a really awesome piece.  I'm not an artist by any means and he was able to take everything and make a great piece out of it.  When I looked at the design he had come up with it was obvious that he had put a lot of time into it and re-worked it a lot to make it perfect.  Not only does the tattoo itself look AWESOME because he's a great artist and tattooer, but he was also incredibly easy to work with and just plain nice.  He's really patient which was great because I was having a hard time relaxing when he first started working but he was great about working with me to make it OK.

Also, the parlor itself is really clean and incredibly well priced.  My tattoo cost a lot less than I thought it was going to.  Everyone was courteous and wonderful.  I would definitely go back there and I even convinced a friend of mine to get her tattoo there, too. She loves her piece (done by Hanz) which was also a really great custom tattoo.

    Definitely an A+.

After reading the awesome reviews here on Yelp, and seeing the horrid earlobe piercing job that another parlor had done to my friend, I decided to come to PH and get my tragus pierced!  I also dragged a few friends along who too were interested in getting additional ear piercings, and a few tattoos.  A few hours later we all walked out, poked, prodded, inked, and happy with the results.  It's been awhile, so I forget my piercer's name (it wasn't Chuck..maybe 'Julie'??) but she definitely made sure I was taken care of and that my little tragus wouldn't be sore for too long.

The staff here were incredibly knowledgeable, friendly, and superduper sanitary.  And accommodating-- 5 of us wanted piercings/tatt consultations, and we didn't make any reservations)!
The store also has tons of tattoo magazines and artworks on display for you to browse and be inspired by.  Also, Hans did an amazing job on my friends' tatts-- he was incredibly detailed and made sure before doing the inking that they were happy with the sketches, and he was open to any changes.
The prices here are cheaper than Slave to the Needle's (major plus!), so give PH a try!  I'll definitely come back to get some more piercings!

I had previously gone to Deep Roots and had a terrible experience.  My tragus was terribly infected and I found the people to work at the shop to be very rude.  Sadly, I had to take my tragus piercing out.

Since I took it out, I kept debating if I should go get it repeirced, I'm so glad I did!  I found Pierced Hearts on yelp and I will never recieve another piercing anywhere else!
I walked in and was greeted by Chuck, she was absolutely amazing, patient and very sanitary.
I loved that she took me through the whole process instead of just doing it.

I highly recommed going to pierced hearts, you wont be disappointed!

Chuck is the friendliest, most patient and gentle piercers I have ever met. She has done 9 of my 11 piercings. I have encountered many piercing professionals while shopping for jewelry or going with friends around Seattle and nobody comes close to the talent and personality that Chuck has to offer. No attitude and she is sincere with hygiene. She has also pierced my three children.

Joe has done one of our family tattoos. Super talented guy who is kind and professional.

We are lucky to have their services in Seattle.

This is a great place to get extra holes poked in your body.  So, Monday night I decided to get my ear pierced.  Tuesday afternoon I walked into Pierced Hearts and boy am I glad I did!   Thirty minutes later I left with a new conch piercing and a huge smile.  Chuck was super sweet and patient, adjusting the size and location to be exactly what I wanted.  The whole process was quick but never felt rushed--just like hanging out with a friend.

Even before I even got pierced, while I was looking at jewelry, another customer came in to ask about her recent nostril piercing.  Chuck listened patiently and recommended a new soap that was less abrasive.  The whole time she was supportive without the "I'm cooler than you attitude" that I have frequently been subjected to at other parlors around town.  I knew then that I had made the right decision to come here.

I would definitely recommend Chuck if you want to put extra holes in your body.  I probably won't be back soon but if I impetuously decide to put more holes in my body, this is where I'll go.

Upon arrival I am pleased to report their customer service was superb.  The atmosphere welcoming and environment very clean.

In the piercing area the room was very clean and the piercer very professional.  She made me feel comfortable and was informative throughout the entire process.

My piercing was very well done, the post care was clear and my piercing healed very nicely without incident.

I am looking forward to going back for more piercings and am planning on getting my fourth tattoo there from one of their artists.

    Chuck is amazing.

After coming home from getting my navel pierced, I decided late one night that I wanted a female genital piercing.  I guess I was still feeling the piercing adrenaline rush so my courage and confidence in my pain tolerance were at an all-time high.  I suddenly started thinking about how cool it would be to be among those brave enough to actually do it.  And how cool my *girl* would look all bedazzled with some v-bling.

I knew I had to go to Chuck.  First of all, she's a girl and there was no way I was going to a male piercer for this one.  Second, I had watched Chuck pierce my friend's lip a couple years prior and she was so nice, professional, and quick.  We both had a good experience and I remembered Chuck even though she didn't pierce me.

After a night of thinking about it anxiously and dreaming about it anxiously, I called in right when the shop opened (I didn't want to wait too long and risk losing momentum).  They told me Chuck was in, so I hopped in my car and sped over there.

I had done a little research, enough to check Chuck's certification (hey, these are my lady parts and I've heard the horror stories) and compare the different types of "down-there" piercings to see which one I wanted.  I took a deep breath, walked in and told Chuck I wanted a vertical clitoral hood piercing.  I referred to it as a VCH because that's the thing to do, I guess.  Chuck wasn't awkward about it; she acted just as if I had asked to get my ears pierced.  She helped me pick out appropriate jewelry, assuring me that she would come back if she determined  after looking that I needed some variation from the standard jewelry.

Fast forward to yours truly, naked from the waist down and spread-eagle in stirrups.  I had skipped over reading too much about the pain online because again, I didn't want to lose momentum.  Chuck told me to take a deep breath, and that I was gonna feel something quick and sharp.  OHHH MERRCCYYYY, that HURT.  Chuck talked me through it.  If you're curious, it is a split-second of really intense pain... and then you're fine.  Seriously, fine.  I put my pants on carefully and thought I was going to be walking funny, but it was cool.  I even went out to lunch with my friend right afterwards, drove around all day, met another friend for a movie, and kicked it at someone's house.  Basically, I had a full day; it just happened to start with a sharp needle to the hoo-ha.

The piercing healed beautifully, never a complication.  I LOVE IT, and I'm so proud that I have it.  And I haven't received a single.. *ahem*.. complaint.  It's very unique and if you can take the quick pain, Chuck can get you through it!

She also did another navel piercing for me, quick and almost painless.

I first met Chuck when she was working at Lucky Devil - and followed her here when they opened up shop in the U-District! She's been piercing for me since about 2005, and every single experience has been fantastic!

Joe has done two tattoos for me, and both are amazing! Beautiful color and exquisite detail work! I have 4 tattoos, and the two that Joe did are my favorite (they're also the 2 I get the most compliments on) :)

The shop itself is always very clean and neat, and it has always been my experience that the staff goes the extra mile to make sure everything is sterile and sanitary.

Recently had my first new tattoo in 20 years.  Been thinking about it all that time and wanted something meaningful and special to me.  Finally discovered something I wanted to do.  On a whim, and a little Yelp research, I called the shop to set up a consultation.  A few days later, I went down and met with Alan.  Told him what I wanted to do, my ideas, and my total personal lack of creativity.

Everything they say on here is true.  Pierced Hearts from the staff, to the shop, to the artists, and the kickass music they play was top notch.

Within a couple of weeks Alan had come up with a beautiful, one-of-a-kind, truly unique tattoo for me.  Had it inked last Friday and it turned out exceptional.  I could not be happier or more ecstatic with it.  Already been flooded with compliments as it's truly like nothing I've ever seen (and apparently most others either).  Looking forward to visiting Alan again after this bad boy heals up to add to it and see what else he's come up with for me.

I truly appreciate Alan and his dedication and professionalism.  Watching pros work is awesome no matter what they do.  This guy is a pro in every sense of the word, and I wouldn't dream of letting anyone else ink me.  (But if I didn't have a choice, I'd feel comfortable with any of the great artists at PH.)  Seems like a tight, family unit with lotsa good vibes.

    The only place I'll go.

So yep another updated review from me about Pierced Hearts, all I'll say is every time I come here I'm going to update.

I went in on 8/4/2010 and had Alan add to my arm piece, let me just say that I pretty much love Alan. I love his work, I love his attention to detail, and I love the fact that he treats you like a person not just as someone whose paying for something. He takes the time to get to know you and treat you with respect.

Going into Pierced Hearts months ago was the best choice I ever made. I even brought my sister in to get her first piece done and she loves what Alan did for her. I've told countless people about this shop (not just people I know mind you), even strangers complement the work he's done so far on my arm.

It's been half a year and I've already gone to Pierced Hearts a handful of times. I think it's safe to say that I already know where I'll be going and who I'll be seeing to complete my sleeve.

I got a wrist tattoo here on Saturday (8/14) by Hanz. It was really small but I was a bit nervous because I had heard horror stories from people who had wrist tattoos (worst pain ever, hurt more than any other spot, etc.). Seriously people, no need to scare me before going in to get my tat. I have a back tattoo so this wasn't my first, but I was still a bit nervous. I told Hanz up front and he helped ease my concerns -- saying it felt the same as any tattoo spot, and if I had a back tattoo I'd be fine.

The best part of all of it ... the tattoo didn't hurt at all. Hanz said it was because he had angel hands. :-) It was quick and easy and the place was really clean. Hanz talked to me the whole time which I think helped a lot. He checked in each time he finished a line as well. With my last tattoo, it took about 2 hours and I just kind of sat there the whole time trying to spark a little conversation to take my mind off things. And everyone that I dealt with -- to set the appointment, when checking in, etc. -- was so friendly.

I'll definitely be back when I want another tattoo!

Though this was my first tattoo experience, it's not my first time browsing through tattoo/piercing places. I'm really picky about all things in general, but I found this place to be clean and friendly. There's no bullshit advertising just to earn a few bucks either. (The pricing here is pretty good as well.)

I chose Alan after looking through his portfolio--the marvel comics just caught me from the beginning--and he gives you an honest opinion while completely catering to your needs/preferences. I loved the fact that he told me that he's really patient and doesn't mind sketching, re-sketching, and re-situating the placement of my tattoo.

On the day of my appointment, I was completely nervous! However, Alan's professionalism put me at ease. I was basically screaming in my head but frozen physically. Tip of the day: remember to breathe and say your ABCs 100x and you'll be fine. Either way, he continued to ask me if I was okay or needed breaks. (I'm a chicken when it comes to pain.)

It's been a few days, and there has been hardly any redness, irritation or scabbing. I hope this is normal, or better than normal. I'm already thinking about my second tattoo... so I'll def be back here! :)

It pains me that I can't give them 5 stars. I was on vaca in Seattle and wanted a small tattoo to remember my less than exciting adventures there. I do admit it was a small piece so I can't complain too much, but compared to the other parlors I've been to, I wasn't impressed at all. The guy that inked me was cool, but we didn't seem to match energetically. Yes, I sound like a crazy person, but if you're leaving a permanent mark on me, I'd like it to be with someone I feel a connection with.

Other than that, I was happy with the tattoo, but I'm doubtful that I'd be back.

I went to Pierced Hearts to have my earlobes stretched and have been in several times since then for jewelry and a new piercing.  I've had many piercings done in many different tattoo parlors here and in other states and can say without doubt that Chuck is the best one I've been to.   They stock very nice quality jewelry that I don't really see in other places.  I can occupy myself for an hour just looking at the pretties.

This place is clean clean clean.  The piercing room looks like a dr's office and I felt very secure.  Chuck was very nice, personable & extremely knowledgeable (not necessarily in that order).  When she pierced my tragus I was convinced it would be painful because it was going through cartildge.  I was quite surprised when I barely even felt a thing!  She's also very careful to make sure to give adequate (but not overbearing) instructions for aftercare.  I will never go anywhere else, I'm a complete fan!

Terry is great! She did the piercings for both me and my friend and made sure she explained everything that she was doing or about to do during the process.

Pierced Hearts is also very clean. After every step of the way, from marking where the piercing would be to actually doing the piercing, Terry threw away the gloves she was using at the time and got another clean pair. After the piercing was over, she even gave me the pen she used for mark the places where she was planning to do the piercing! Also, it was comforting to see her opening up a new, fully santized packet with the piercing needle inside in front of me and to see her immediately dispose of it after it was used.

I just want to say that I went here for a little education on my tattoo and ideas; the front desk lady was very nice and attentive. She was pretty quick to find an available tattoo artist that could help me. Although he was in the midst of tattooing someone, he was still very helpful with sizing and such. I made a Yelp account specifically to write a review here, so that should give you an idea of my thoughts.

I wanted to get my lobes pierced a second time, so I decided to head to Pierced Hearts because I knew it had a great score on here and had heard good things from friends. Chuck was, as everyone else has  said, absolutely amazing. She was professional, quick, fastidious about hygiene (I lost count after the second glove change) and absolutely sweet and darling throughout the entire experience.

Obviously lobe piercings are pretty low-maintenance, but she checked in repeatedly throughout the process to make sure I liked the placement, etc, and had a light enough touch that even a wuss like me  barely flinched. Afterward she was insistent that if I had any questions or concerns I should come in and talk it over, which I found really refreshing after having a bad piercing and aftercare experience at another piercing studio in the area (a sloppy job + blowing me off when I come in to address issues = kiss my ass, I don't want a discount on a re-piercing job).

Basically, I loved her and I will definitely be going to her to get my nostril re-done once I've got a bit more money in the bank.

Random irrelevant things that I liked:
    a) the walls in the piercing room itself are lavender. I'm a fan.
    b) she gave me candy afterward!

When my friend wanted the Marilyn Monroe, I had no idea where to take her since I'm not exactly an ink and hole producing aficionado.  Sooooo Yelp to the rescue and I noticed that this place was the only one that had a perfect score.  Not one person had something bad to say about the place.  Infact, it was all positive feedback.  And let's be real...how often does that happen (it's usually more fun to b*tch then be nice right?).

So we head over right before closing but Chuck, in her super stellar rock star way, was great about answering all my friends' questions.  She even explained it all to me too since she must have known my friend was freaking out in a major way and wasn't listening to anything she was actually saying, and then let us go back with my friend and hold her wimpy hand.

No most impressive? This place is CLEAN.  We're talking "your mama's a germaphobe and you grew up in a house that lacked even a follicle of hair germ and now you get sick all the time because you have no immune system" kind of way.  At one point I asked Chuck how many times she'd changed her gloves and at that point we were at like 5.

I'm looking to get a couple piercings soon and you can bet your most likely tattooed buttons that I'll be back to see Chuck!

I have been getting pierced for years, and I've been to shops all over the Seattle area. Out of all the piercers I have been pierced by Chuck is by far my favorite! She is friendly and very sweet. Many of the artists I have gone to have been A) Creepy B) Quiet and completely introverted or C) Inappropriate.

I first started going to Chuck when she worked at Lucky Devil and they still did piercings. When they stopped offering that service I was bummed. Then last year I saw an ad in the Stranger for the new shop and was so relieved that I could go to her again.

It is very important to get pierced by someone that makes you feel comfortable. Chuck walks you through the piercing steps, and helps you relax. Teri is a great piercer too. I would highly recommend getting pierced at Pierced Hearts though over any other shop in town. You will have a pleasant experience for sure.

Pierced Hearts is a relatively new tattoo shop in town.  BUT for those that love us some tattoos, people may know some of these great artists.  Chuck (piercing) & Joe Who (tattoo) originally hail from the Lucky Devil Tattoo Parlor in Capitol Hill which is also another great shop.  Joe has done almost all of my tattoos over the past 7-ish years from my Capitol Hill days.  Obviously, I like his work.  A lot.  So when I found out he and Chuck had opened up their own tattoo & piercing shop in the U-District, my loyalty compelled me to check it out.  Did I mention it is ever-so-conveniently located next to the Monkey Pub and across from Dante's?  They do know how to make a girl happy.

I can't personally speak for Chuck's piercings as mine all predate my west-coast-loving Seattle days; friends have all said great things about her patience and compassion with the process.  From what I have seen, Chuck is an awesome lady who is very attentive to everyone in the shop.

Joe Who is great at giving you an honest opinion of what will or won't work on you, he also thinks towards the future to make sure your desired design won't look like crap 10+ years down the road.   Overall, I have found Joe is really great at working with you to design a stellar piece of work, but be prepared for his somewhat acerbic humor.  Joe has a great touch for tattooing and is very understanding of any need to take a break, especially for extended sittings.  For my most recent tattoo I branched out and had work done by Hanz Zarate who also did an absolutely amazing job on a very realistic and detailed piece.  It is fairly new and still needs a smidge of touch-up work but overall the artwork exceeded even my expectations and I continue to be impressed by this shop.

I agree with all the other nice things people have said about Chuck and her shop.  She is likely the best body piercing professional in Seattle and many, many, people walking the streets have had work done by her.  She is extremely professional, warm, personable and hygienic beyond what you would find in most hospitals and private practices.
She is happy to answer questions and makes the piercing process pleasant.  I would recommend her to anyone from a piercing novice to virtual pincushion.
I didn't realize she was still around when I recently had a new piece put in my nose piercing.  The other shop I went to didn't quite get it right and she fixed it for me.  Luckily, she's right down the street from where I live!

Every time I go into Pierced Hearts they are super friendly. They have an extensive selection of body jewelry, one of the best I've ever seen. Today I needed a new nostril screw, something that was very small and would appease a new employer. I was given a nice selection, and then taken to the back to have it put in and cut to size. The rooms are immaculate. There is an enclosed sterilization room, and I'm pretty sure the gal helping me changed her gloves six times. Bare human fingers never once touched my piece of jewelry. Perhaps overkill, but you'll never hear me complain about stringent infection control and universal precautions. Good for them for being so diligent!

Some of the jewelry is a bit costly, so beware. I've yet to leave there dissatisfied with service, and that makes the cost worth it.
