Erik pierced my ears and did a great, fairly painless job! He was lighthearted and helped me get over my jitters, and then held a wet paper towel to my head and made me drink water when I got faintish. I went to two other shops before I found this one, and one of those was going to charge me twice as much and their piercer wasn't even there that day. The other place didn't pierce. I highly reccomend Erik as the shop was very clean and he was professional.
Review Source:I got a tattoo by Cornbread and pierced by Michael. Both gentlement were incredibly nice, they kept asking if I was okay throughout the sessions and making sure I was comfortable. They were very informative about the processes of tattooing and piercing. Cornbread talked to me throughout my tattoo, he was very friendly and does beautiful work. Michael let me set the pace for the piercings and walked me through the entire process and how to properly take care of the piercings afterwards. I will continue to go back for any and every future piercing and tattoo.
Review Source:Just got my tragus piercing done here today on a whim...My piercer was very professional and walked me through every step of the process. It looks great and I would definitely recommend coming here to get a piercing! The H2Ocean cleaning spray even came free with the piercing...doesn't get much better than that!
Review Source:I have ink from three different artists here and am extremely happy with all of them. Everyone has been professional, creative and very helpful in bringing my wants and visions to life with their own twist on them. I'm currently in the process of getting a sleeve done with Cornbread and he never disappoints. He is passionate and focused about his craft and it shows in his work. Pigment is always super clean, comfortable and has a great vibe. I highly recommend this shop to anyone seeking quality body mod in New Orleans and the surrounding areas.
Review Source:I had a total of 8 tattoos done by one artist, until my most recent tattoo which was done by Mac at pigment. I was definitely skeptical putting myself in the hands of someone new, but i'm glad i did. i wasn't put in a very comfortable position because of the placement of the tattoo; however, mac was really patient with me, allowing me to get up and stretch as often as i needed. to be honest, out of all my tattoos, the one Mac did is my favorite. also, pigment keeps really awesome hours. they're open pretty late, which is nice for a night person like me. they take walk-ins fairly easily as far as i know. i didn't have to wait or anything. it was just an overall positive experience, and i'm thrilled with the work Mac did.
Review Source:Had a very good experience getting my piercing jewelry changed here. Having the captive bead ring taken out and the titanium post put in was quick and easy. After a few days I discovered that I can't wear titanium, so I just went back and the piercer (I wish I could remember his name!) was very helpful. He gave me some mouthwash to reduce the inflammation, and I will be going back again when the reaction has gone away to try out something else. I would definitely recommend Pigment. The studio is very clean (and has awesome artwork on the walls), and the staff are very friendly and knowledgeable (the ones I met, anyway.)
Review Source:I have a new hole in my ear, thanks to Pigment. Â I was a total piercing virgin before I met Eric, but ten minutes after I walked through the door, I was an experienced cougar (or should I say puma?). Â Â
The place is long and narrow with the design books and body jewelry up front and the tattoo shop is in the back. Â The piercing station is kind of on the side out in the open, which isn't really a big deal if you're just getting your ears and face done. Â However, if you want something a little more daring like a hoodie or an Albert, you might want a little more privacy. Â They might use the back room for the more sensitive procedures, but I'm not sure.
Eric is cool. Â I would recommend him to anyone looking to get pierced. Â The hollow piercing needle is the way to go, even for something as simple as an earlobe. Â I honestly didn't feel thing and it healed up in only week. Â Please don't subject yourself to that medieval torture device known as the "piercing gun". Â Trust your sensitive parts to Eric, not some mall kiosk.
I went here last night for my second tattoo. I heard some good things about the shop so I decided to check it out. The shop itself is nicely decorated with different artwork and its very clean. Mac did such an amazing job! I absolutely love my tattoo! He was very nice and made me feel very comfortable. He even touched up the tattoo on my wrist for me. I will most definitely be back. Very happy! :)
Review Source:Keel did my first tat today and I couldn't be happier. Â He was a total pro, start to finish. Â The design I wanted wasn't doable, so he worked with me and came up with something similar that I completely adore.
He was as gentle as possible. Â With a tattoo on my rib cage, that's tough!
I would gladly recommend the shop and keel to anyone looking for ink.
AWWWWW YEAH.
That about sums up how I feel about Pigment. Â I had an itch for ink that needed to be scratched and I spent far too long cruising around various shops, looking at portfolios, before deciding that I'd better check out the joint right around the corner from my house. Â I took one look at Justin O's portfolio (filled with incredibly skilled color work, great traditional-style yet original tattoo designs, and pieces that displayed serious craft as well as a great sense of humor and playfulness) and decided that I was getting it done that day.
It was a busy Saturday, but I was able to get a walk-in appointment. Â I brought in some art work that I liked and explained the modifications I wanted made to Justin and BAM the man got directly to work, drawing up the piece like a true professional. Â He took his time, seemed patient and repeatedly asked for input, and an hour or so later he was ready to go. Â He was very friendly and funny while doing the ink and I was really happy to be able to have an open conversation, ask questions about the craft, etc. with my artist instead of just sitting there quietly for two hours straight.
The shop is spotless and the ink stations are very cool, comfortable, and set back so there's not a million teenagers waiting to get pierced gawking all over you. Â The apprentice who was handling paperwork and the desk (Tyler?) was super nice and the entire shop had a very friendly atmosphere with none of the pretense that you find in some studios. Â I would recommend Justin O and Pigment to anyone looking for a traditional-style piece, though judging from his portfolio, I know that Justin's skills extend into other styles as well. Â My lady and one of my friends will be going to Justin within the week to have some pieces done as well, based on the level of skill and professionalism they saw during my session.
