Did some research and asked around and was told Skin of a Different Color was the place to go to. I must admit, it was great!

I just got my first tattoo done there and worked with Dan Nortell the entire time. Although I had my own drawing for him to go off of, his work was great and very down to earth and friendly/experienced. Also, not knowing anyone that works there, I got to see the other artists work a little and they were also very nice and did great work.

As nervous as I was for my first tattoo, I would 100% go back to here and would recommend it to anyone! Just do some research on tattoos prior to getting one done and you'll know what you're getting into. Researching will help with your experience with the design, the place, artist and healing process.

I had a touch up done here. I have to say the staff is very friendly. Not your typical hard @ss tattoo shop. I went to a few other places asking for opinions on what they could do to fix my tattoo. Everyone else gave me attitude and said well I wouldn't have placed it there. Just nothing but attitude and seemed to be brushed off because it was a small job.

My husband and I walked in and Craig the owner was nothing but nice. He was very down to earth and did a awesome job. I was not over charged either. Great color and had great ideas to fix my tattoo. I would go back for my next tattoo and not fuss around with other shops.

I've had 5 of my piercings done here, my nose, monroe, tragus, nipples and clit hood. Kivaka is the nicest and most professional piercer I've been to, I highly recommend him to any person who needs a piercing done. He has an amazing reputation and if you're nervous he makes you feel comfortable. All of his piercings are done very well, you can see a lot of the dif things he's done in the gallery on http://kivaka.com

I'm not one to get tattoos because I'm terrified of needles so when my friend asked me to go with her to get her tattoo done I was a little worried. After coming here I would seriously consider getting tattooed here. This is a cute little shop that is located right off New York st in what used to be a house. They have plenty of parking in the front as well as the back. The staff is incredibly talented and nice. They make you as comfortable as possible and come up with some amazing designs. It is first come first served so you have to get there early if you want to be worked on first. Her tattoo ended up looking beyond amazing and she was very pleased with the work, Ryan did an amazing job. The owner Charlie is also a magician and he does a trick for you after you get tattooed. BONUS! Probably one of the best shops in the area.

I've been to this establishment twice now. Once for my lip piercing and once for a tattoo, thus I know both sides of their business. To be quite honest, they are pretty dang remarkable.

I've been to quite a few tattoo/piercing parlors (I have 3 tattoos and 7 piercings) and I would recommend this place over the others quite easily. From the moment I walked in both times, I was greeted and helped immediately. Everyone there was so friendly and the establishment was incredibly clean.

When I got my lip piercing, Kavaka (I believe the guy's name was) showed me all of the sterile equipment, made sure I had no questions, made sure I loved the placement and showed me him throwing away all of the needles he used on me. I thought that was pretty dang amazing.

As for the tattoo, my guy did the same thing! Made sure I loved what he drew, where he placed it, made great conversation and kept telling me I was doing great. He did a fabulous job on it as well. I even got a Tootsie Pop out of it which of course was a nice touch.

All in all, I thought there prices were about what I had paid elsewhere but their quality of service was a bit higher. I would definitely come back for all my body modification needs.
