I drove three hours from NYC to get a tattoo here and it was worth the trip. Blaze Schwaller, owner does original work only as does the other tattoo artist who works with her. Blaze, the owner, drew up a sample of the tattoo based on information I had shared with her over the phone. There weren't many changes to be made, but I was able to work the design back and forth via email until I was happy.
Spirit Gallery is clean, professional, and welcoming. One thing I look for in a tattoo studio is cleanliness and a doctor's office feel, which is the feeling I got from this location. Blaze also has many of her framed original artwork hanging on her walls, creating a gallery feel.
The tattoo experience was very enjoyable...Blaze was very professional and made sure I was comfortable as she explained what she was doing as my tattoo was on my back and I couldn't see. The finished product was awesome and I was even able to make a minor addition on short notice. Blaze knows her craft well.
Well worth the trip.
