Stevie Moon did a cover-up for me back 2001. I went for 4 sessions/ sittings which were at his old studio, just off of Sunrise Blvd. The environment, staff, and of course, Stevie were all great to deal with and his place (old shop & newest one) is very clean and he is also pretty thorough with keeping everything clean/ sterile.
Fast forward 12 years and it was time to freshen and finish up the original piece as well as start a new one.
I use to feel that I wouldn't have anyone else ever tattoo me after dealing with Stevie, but after waiting almost 4 months to start working (not to mention the apptS he rescheduled, the hour and a half he takes to set up while you're sitting around wasting time).
He's talented, but with his newly Prima Donna attitude, self-entitlement (borderline delusion), inflated ego, and unprofessional behavior has forced me to start looking for another talented artist that is professional.
I truly think his popularity went to his head and ego as he seems fine with pushing you off, cancelling/ changing appointments and losing your sketches, but god forbid you have any questions or want to specify something about the work that will be on permanently on your body and he starts acting like a spoiled, entitled brat!
I cannot give a detailed review about Kieth, (the other artist that works at this shop), as I just recently met him, but I saw him working and spoke to him a bit... He's DEFINITELY the better choice at this shop and if Stevie wouldn't have pissed me off as much as he did, I would have gladly gone back and dealt with Kieth. He's typically the one that answers the phone, tells Stevie his appts., and actually treats it as a customer service business, not as he's doing you a favor (especially at $200 per hour which is what he actually charged me for a sketch that barely resembled nor conveyed the idea that we had been discussing for 4 months!).
I got a tattoo here a few months ago, the tattoo really needed a touch up. The color was fading and it needed a small amount of work.
I called, emailed, messaged and sent texts to the artist who did my work. I never got a response.
Don't waste your money on a place that refuses to back up the work they do.
