Me & my husband were in LA visiting & I decided to get a tattoo while we were there. I searched YELP for a shop and came across Tattoo Mania & I'm glad I did. Sean took me with no appointment he did a awesome job on my tattoo & the price was right. I recommend this place if your looking for great inexpensive art and awesome customer service.

This place is amazing!!! My friend booked me an appointment here since I'm working on my half sleeve.  I showed up blindly (I'm pretty much game for anything) and had no idea what to expect.  I told my idea to Sean, and he drew up something even more amazing.  The whole process took about 4 hours (it's a very large piece on my arm) and I never felt rushed.  He took his time, and didn't mind when I was chatting on my phone while he was working (the pain doesn't bother me and after a few hours, what are you gonna do?).  I am in love with my tattoo and will be back in to finish up the rest of my arm.  It's some amazing art work.  I didn't feel judged or rushed like I have in other tattoo parlors.  I already gave their number out to people who have complimented his work.  INCREDIBLE PLACE!!!!!

I love tattoo mania! Since I was in California for vacation, our days were packed with tons of plans that lasted throughout the day.  I love the fact that Tattoo Mania is open late since we arrived at 1 AM. Our piecer was Nick, and he was finishing up a tattoo at the time, so Rocco made sure we felt welcome as we waited. Nick took his time and made it a comfortable experience.  Follow their instagram posts @tattoomania25 to see their fun experiences!  I will definitely be back to visit Rocco again!

Not sure if I'd get a tattoo or piercing, these days, which is the reason for the three stores, but I came in to buy something, and the guy helped me out, and gave a good recommendation, which was decent, and he let me use the bathroom. Couldn't have asked for more.

    Regards.

Definitely love this place! This is where i got my first tattoo of music notes on my back. My 2 roommates and I busted a mission to Weho and originally went to another tattoo spot that was super nice and big but the people there just didn't even bother to care or give us a proper consultation and we were pretty disappointed. We all kinda desperately wanted a tattoo that day and yelped Tattoo Mania. Lemme tell you that this place is pretty small compared to the nice lounge we originally went to but honestly it was so welcoming and Pat, our tattoo artist, was a gentle giant. He was intimidating at first, but definitely nice! The place is decorated with so many sample tattoos that you have a lot of ideas to bounce from. My first tat definitely hurt but I'm already looking up pics for future ones. Will definitely go back

Only giving this place 1 star because I have to. Otherwise, it deserves nothing.

I went in to get my septum done last Saturday and first of all the "piercer" who was there wasn't very friendly. I guess he was trying to funny by being an asshole. First off he ripped me off and said Septums were $60 when I knew they were $40 when I got quoted 2 months ago. We debated over the price for a bit and even the old Hells Angel wannabe old man that always sits outside their shop yelled to me that it was $60?! I went home and I checked my septum and it was way too low and crooked. I asked my friends who had septums and they said the same. I've gotten my septum done before and it wasn't crooked.

I decided to go back in the shop 2 days later to ask if I could have it re-done because I wasn't satisfied and that I paid too much money to have a shitty job and experience. The shop owner was trying to tell me that all Septums were crooked and that I only paid $40 anyway. I told him his employee ripped me off by saying it was $60 and that I wanted it re-done. There was also a different piercer there that could of done it, but for some reason I have to wait for the person that did a bad job touch me again???  I'm still waiting for a phone call to get it re-done or at least get my money back, since I obviously got ripped off.

I should of known not to trust a motorcycle shop on sunset strip.

Parking: Boo! Paid $10 to park and it took me all of about 25 minutes to get my tatt.

The Shop: Loved it. it's nice and clean and comfy and lots of example work all over the place.

My artist: I failed to get his name, but he was the older, slightly heavier white guy with glasses (cool dude). He was knowledgable (didn't ask many questions because I was nervous). He went right into the tattooing, it was quick and easy, but I'm a wussy so, It kinda hurt a bit, but it was bearable. He also allowed my sis to take pics, which was cool for social networking or whatevs.

The only thing I would change or do differently, would be to get my tattoo slightly bigger so all of the details would be able to be put into the piece.

    still love it tho!

When I got out of the chair, I said, "Never Again".
and my artist goes, "I doubt it."

He was totally right. I already want more. The results completely outweigh the pain.

This is one of the best tattoo parlors in the city! The guys are awesome and extremely talented. If you don't know what you want, someone will be more than happy to collaborate with you and draw you something amazing. They did a custom sun for me and drew in my features. That was years ago and I am still getting compliments on it.

They are very hygienic and only use new needles and tools for your tattoo. The high quality ink will insure that your body art lasts a lifetime! They are pricey but well worth it. The mood is wildly causal and you will feel welcome. Don't waste your money on other places with cheap ink and cookie cut designs. This place rocks!

Yelped this place after a friend googled a shop down the street which turned out to be an overcharging shit hole. Shamrock my ass. Didn't need an appointment, they took us right on the spot at about 11pm on a Wednesday. Danny was amazing! Kept saying how excited he was about my design. Got the Egyptian goddess Ma'at which he had an outline for, but shrunk it down to the perfect size for my back. Got the outline and shading for $450. He even retouched an older tattoo I had gotten years ago. Took about 3 hours to do. He put in so much detail! Got amazing facial features into the design. He never once boasted about all his famous clients, said he loved doing fun work on everyday people who walk in off the street. I can't wait to go back for color. Seriously recommend this place! Everyone who works there is chill and understanding.

After many, many years of wanting a tattoo I finally got my first one! It's one word, very simple font, along the side of my ribcage for only $100 (not including my $20 tip). That is relatively cheap considering the quality you're getting. My tattoo was done by Rocco. His wife, Michelle, was in the shop first and helped me put together the final design. She was VERY kind and courteous. When Rocco came in we had a little down time as his wife was putting together the stencil. We casually chatted about small things and he helped me calm my nerves as I had heard the ribcage is one of the most painful places to get tattooed. The process was pretty quick and throughout the entire time he kept asking how I was doing. I didn't bleed at all, and I'm very happy with the results!

This place rocks. The service is amazing and the art is incomparable. Danny has done most of my work and I couldn't be happier. His style and artistic sensibilities, along with Rocco and the rest of the staff, outclass everything I've seen around. If you want the best tattoo work available, there's nowhere else to go.

heed this advice: bring a freind to witness the tattoo and a pic of the guy doing it...just in case of problems with the work and need it redone.otherwise you might just get thrown out of the store and chased down sunset when they "forget" your identity.

I was recommended by a friend to get a tattoo done by Alis at Tattoo Mania.  For my very first tattoo I was extremely nervous but Alis calmed me down by giving me advice about the placement, size etc.  After seeing my friends very detailed grey scale dragon on his arm drawn by Alis I was certain that she could draw my Chinese calligraphy perfectly.  Once it was done (way less painful than I thought it would be) I was very pleased with the outcome and couldn't wait to show them off.  I highly recommend this tattoo shop and especially Alis!

So my cupcakes (my girls) and I woke up that morning in our Hollywood Hotel, and on a fluke, decided we all wanted to get tattoos.

As we were strolling world famous Sunset Blvd, we randomly walked into Tattoo Mania and contemplated if we really were going to go through with our spontaneous tatts.

I was lucky enough to have linked up with Danny, he has highly accredited work, for he has done some the most famously known such as Eve's famous Paws on her chest and Mary J Blige's cross on her arm. Danny finished my work in no time, he had a very gentle hand and I love love loved the results.

The guys in the shop were very welcoming and accommodating as to what colors worked best with my skin tone. I really admired their opinion and  how Danny kept me entertained with his many stories of the people he's tatted. T'was quite the experience being that we were drop ins.

In the end, I asked for Danny's business card and he ran his lighter flame across his name and said, "thats my signature." I thought that was pretty dope.

loved the people, and their work. I would definitely go back to get more work done :)

I love this place, I haven't gotten a tattoo yet, but two of my good friends did and they're both extremely happy with their work. I would post photos but they're still scarred and obviously won't allow you to see the extreme awesomeness that is at 100%.

Everyone here is really laid back and friendly for the most part, at least the people that I talked to are. I'll edit this review in a few weeks when I go back to get my -Boris- tattoo from Danny, he gave my friend mooninites from ATHF, they're badass.

Thanks for being awesome, guys.  Anyone that is reading this review should get their work done at Tattoo Mania because they're awesome and they're not pretentious assholes.  The rad people that kept us entertained during our visit were Rocco (the owner) Danny (the badass) and "Jake" I think his name isn't Jake, but that's okay bc he's a shophand so he goes by Jake.

Oh yeah, shop minimum was $80 for a tattoo and you have to park on the street or find a paid lot or in our case, park in a ritzy neighborhood in Beverly Hills and walk, we're pretty sure we parked in front of Madonna's place :p (or not, whatever)

I got a spur of the moment tattoo here about 4 years ago, at the tender age of 19. With a sudden burst of courage, I didn't do much research, just went with the first decent-looking shop where the artists had good portfolios. Talk about youthful indiscretion! Anyway, I got super lucky with Dirk, who accommodated my panicky mood with humor and wrote his number on a business card so that I could call him if I freaked out about after-care. My tattoo is small and simple, but I love it and it still looks great.

I'm finally getting ready to head back for round 2, which is what prompted my looking this place up on Yelp. I definitely recommend them, especially for those new to the experience and don't want to feel too much like a fish out of water. They made it a great college experience that I look back on fondly.

I actually did not get a tattoo from here but I did get my industrial piercing done by Mike.

My experience was great. Mike was funny as hell which helped calmed me down. He offered some advice and the proper care for the piercing and even told me to come back if the barbell that he had put in felt uncomfortable.

Hoping to get a tattoo from here sometime soon.

I got my very first tattoo here from Dirk. He's the best. They're very clean and professional. I got word of this place from my friend, and I'm very thankful since. I've got a total of two tattoos, but planning on getting more in the future from here.

Got my tattoo first tattoo here 2 years ago based on a reccommendation from a friend. The staff was really nice. We came here with like a group of 5. Of the 5, only 3 of us got tattoos that night. Because it was my first tattoo, i had to document this with pictures and my tattoo artist was really accomodating when it came to taking pictures. Haha.. I love my tattoo. I plan on getting 2 more tattoos done sometime this year, and bringing my sister here for her first tat. My little tat costed $80. I thought it was a bit expensive, but I'm paying for the good ink and a clean shop.
My friend got her tat the same night I got mine. Her mom found out like 4 months later and took her to get lasered off. The technician said she needs to come back several more times because the quality of the ink is so good that it'll take more sessions to remove it.
Watch out for street parking. We parked on the street one night and got towed!

What can I say about Tattoo Mania.  This shop is a mainstay to tattooing in Los Angeles.  A true street shop with tattooers who can draw up any idea you might have, or take a drawing you scribbled down and turn it into a piece of art on your skin.  I actually own a couple of shops in the Valley and my last three tattoos I got here.

Where else can you get a tattoo after all the famous clubs in town close up for the night.  It is not unusual to walk into the shop and see one of its famous clients from music, movies or sports sitting the chair next to you getting a tattoo.

Go there and say say hi to the owner Rocco or have Danny Weil, who can draw an original pinup on the spot, or take an old photo of a loved one, and do a portrait that is so lifelike you'll be amazed.

I have a habit of getting a new tattoo and "adding to my collection" everytime I go on vacation...

I just got back from West Hollywood, where I was talked into getting the newest tat I had had my eye on for awhile now by my boyfriend.  So we strolled into this shop at around 9 or 10 PM after me staring at the Viper Room and The Roxy and hoping, just hoping, to see a celebrity.

Anyway!  We went in and were greeted by Terri.  I looked over his portfolio and decided he was the artist for me.  He was extremely professional and made sure to introduce himself to my boyfriend, as well.  He did a great job on my latest addition and I'm pleased I got a new piece of artwork etched into my skin on vacation.
