I bought a gift certificate there in late October as a gift for my SO.  I was assured by the guy working there that the price he was charging me included both the piercing AND the starter earring. He even showed me the light blue-colored earring that he recommended for the starter earring.

Two weeks later we came in and right off, the employee there said no to the light blue earring we were told was included.  Something about the coloring being bad for a new piercing, or something. We asked what other earrings were the options, then we chose one and the piercing went fine.

But then at checkout, I was told I owed another $10 above the value of the gift card.  I didn't want to cause negativity during my SO's birthday, so I paid it but I was still a little irritated by the whole thing.

My experience at Thinkin' Ink was a very regular one. My roommate and I went in one Thursday morning to look at fonts because we were both looking to get our address tatted on. hahaha Funny thought but I love it!

We walked in and asked to see some fonts and they had plenty on hand for us to go through. There were some other customers in and out but basically we had the whole place to ourselves. We expected to have to make appointments but Jeremy offered to do the tats for us right then and there and so we said yes!

The tat job itself was interesting. It seemed like he was intentionally trying to hurt me. I had gotten a tattoo on my ribs before and the guy was gentle so it didn't hurt but Jeremy seemed to be pressing really hard with the needle.

The end result was awesome, and it was a nice simple look, he did some really cool color fading which I love. Downside - I've heard rumors that they aren't the cleanest shop around but my experience was fine. The prices aren't too bad, but it's definitely not the best shop in Morgantown.

Your best bet is to go over to Star City and hit up Patty's Art Spot!! greatest place everrr!! I've also heard Wild Zero is good but my experience with them was very unpleasant.
