So happy with my new piece. Ian did a great job drawing up the tattoo and it was better than I could have imagined. He was very professional and made sure I was comfortable throughout the whole process. He finished in the time he said it would take and took breaks whenever I needed it. His color and line work is amazing. If I get more tattoos I will definitely get them here.
Review Source:RUDE, RUDE, RUDE. Came here twice looking to get pierced/tattooed and both times ended up leaving with nothing. Their prices seem reasonable, but the customer service BLOWS. You walk in and no one says a single word to you. You then stand their awkwardly until you ask for help even though there's 7 people behind the counter! One painting, one texting, one on the computer, one on the phone, two having a conversation, and one sketching. When I finally decided to speak up and ask a question, the guys were completely rude claiming they had never seen the flyer I asked about even though we picked it up from the shop last week!!! 1 star simply because I have no option of giving them zero. I even made the mistake of recommending them to a friend last week. Learn how to professionally run a place of business!
Review Source:I walked into this place after a reccomendation from a friend and the urge to put holes in my body.
The place has a very comfortable vibe and was spotless. The forms were simple to read and easy to fill out.
The piercer that helped us was knowlegable, even though she has only been piercing there a short amount of time, She was honest about the pain level and walked me through the entire process.
The piercings are very reasonably priced and they have lots of specials.
Overall, I am very pleased with my new industrial bar and have had no problems 2 months later.
I really enjoyed my experience at Myriad Tattoo. I'm a stickler for cleanliness and attractive shops; Myriad passes my standards with flying colors. It speaks highly of artists when they have their work in other mediums besides their tattoo portfolios displayed; there are many paintings and other pieces of art to feast your eyes on here. It's a real treat.
Josh "Rudeboy" M. tattooed me. I got a lotus flower with blue and purple petals, and my significant other got a pixel art 1-Up Mushroom from Super Mario Bros. The tattoo didn't take too long or hurt too badly, in consideration of the fact that I have a pain amplifying nerve syndrome called Fibromyalgia. My experience with a tattooist is often defined by how gentle and tolerant they are of my symptoms. Josh ranks amongst the best in both of those categories. My tattoo is beautiful and healed well. The 1-Up Mushroom turned out really awesome, too.
I didn't really get to observe anyone else at work, as it was a pretty quiet day there, but they're really great people and laid-back. I really like shops like Myriad because there's no condescension or "my s--- don't stink" attitude hanging around, waiting to consume the customer whole. Â It was a great experience, I'd definitely go back for more tattoos. I'm not at all hesitant to recommend it when people ask about my lotus flower.
I think to do anything to your body (adding holes or ink) you should be happy with yourself, first of all. Â Once that is achieved, at least with myself, the confidence to go forward with your decision is rewarding. Â I spent a long time debating what it is I wanted or trying to find a reason for wanting anything but in the end, I just told myself to go ahead and do it. Â After much research and good timing in my life, fate brought me here.
I originally came here for a piercing (which I also recommend getting from here, Karissa is awesome and very professional. Â I felt so comfortable as she talked to me I didn't even notice when she stuck the needle in!) and on the way out, I stopped to ask a couple questions about tattoos and prices. Â Daniel, one of the newer artists, was able to answer all of my few questions and was even able to start me off with a sitting and reschedule my appointment with a deposit. He was eager in getting started on the artwork for my piece and I appreciated that..it made me excited as well!
One week later, and I was back in the shop, very nervous. Â This was the first time I ever got a tattoo. Â I spent the entire week reading about what it feels like, what I should expect...but nothing you read can be enough for your actual experience. Â I will add that not only was Daniel polite, professional, and friendly but so were the rest of the staff! Â I quickly got over my nervousness when I was approached by almost all of the other artists who added a very relaxed vibe through the store. Â It was comforting to be treated as a casual acquaintance rather than just "another customer". Â It seems like a small family there and everyone, including friends and family members, come by to hang out and say hello. Â Because I was new and of course, I have little to no knowledge of what to expect, Daniel walked me through the entire process from setting up, to what I should look for if I ever go into another tattoo establishment in the future, to the pain and aftercare, everything. Â I normally don't have a high threshold for pain but it wasn't as bad as I was expecting. All through the session, Daniel and the staff talked with me...I should have started crying just for the hell of it, just to pretend I was in a lot of pain! Â lol.
The end result: BEAUTIFUL!!! I see myself in the mirror and I can't believe I made this decision and I'm so happy to have done it! Â Daniel did a wonderful job! Â The lines are super clean, the color is very attractive, and the artwork is awesome! Â I will update with a picture once it heals a little more. Â Its made me feel even more confident in myself and I enjoy telling people about my new artwork and my experience with the staff and with Daniel!
Thank you, thank you Daniel and to the staff of Myriad!
Was considering a piercing, and after sitting 20 minutes and looking around I quickly left. Â Not overly impressed with the "shop talk", which was pretty unprofessional. Â Everyone was nice, but when I'm considering a piercing other than ears, I want pro not nice. Â I'd probably have stayed if it was for my ears.
Review Source:Went in today with  a friend because she wanted to get a piercing, so I spontaneously decided to get an industrial while we were at it.
First impression from the outside, I was a little iffy about the place. But once we stepped in, it was total opposite. It's a really clean and spacious place! Not bad at all.
Clarissa was our piercer and she was super nice and friendly. She knew exactly what to do and made sure that we really were content with what we were getting. She also gave us packets of sea salt for after care and explained the process for after care really well. Very helpul and I was very pleased. I think if i needed to get anything else done in the future, I will forsure come back to Myriad.
First on the shop: extremely clean shop with great displays of some of the tattoo artists' actual work. Everyone on staff is super cool and accommodating. Definitely had some entertaining conversations to pass the time.
I've sat in on a few of Kory Buck's sessions - a full sleeve and chest piece. He's got a great eye for color, is very professional, meticulous and is a perfectionist - all qualities you'd want in an artist. Super cool guy all around. Â I will definitely have Kory work on my side body piece.
Being completely spontaneous me and a few girlfriends decide to go get tattoos after work. Â We actually were planning on going to a place we knew on Bascom - but when we got there that place was no longer and there stood Myriad Tattoo ~ problem was we had appointments at the old place but they had moved not bothering to change there info on the web ......
So we go into to Myriad and are greeted by the owner / Stanton. Â The shop is brightly lit with clean walls and crown molding. Â He was super friendly and his shop was able to accommodate 4 of us with no appointments all wanting different tattoos, different sizes etc. Â
Nancey did my tattoo (and all 4 of ours).  I had an idea of what I wanted and brought in a few samples - she freehanded the lettering and it was nicer then the samples I brought in.  She was very patient as I wasnt sure of the placement - and she redid part of the initial drawing because I wasnt sure  of the placement.
I loved that Nancey never pressured me at all. Â Simply suggesting that do less now and come back later to finish or do the part I wasn't sure of at a later time and she would give me the same price. Â To me just not being pressured made it that much easier to make my decision. Â Her suggestions of color and placement were spot on - I actually couldn't be happier with the tattoo and its completely original similar to what I brought in but very artistic.
Nancey is very talented I saw a pics of her work and a huge Lady Ga Ga she had done recently and her portrait was awesome and the eyes just popped. Â When its time to get another piece I will surely return to Myriad and go with Nancey.
The entire shop was very clean and everyone that worked there was friendly ~ they even offered to run out and get us dinner because a few of them were headed out get some.
Looked at a few of the one site tattoo artist's books and they all have their own speciality and style but all of their books looked great and their were pieces in each book that totally caught my eye.
Pricing was totally fair!
They have totally won mine (and a few of my friends who will be going there) business.
Sandy
PS Big Ups to Myriad's Piercer Carissa who totally held my hand - she said she was a professional hand holder and um yeah she was - very "Thug Life" of her.
