Just to clarify, this is how my experience was when I came here. I can't guarantee the same things will happen to you, but you never know.

The reason I'm giving this place a three star rating is based on little things that just need to be worked on; things that need to be changed at the shop.

So, yesterday I came in to get a birthday piercing. I first heard about this place here on Yelp and I read some positive feedback so I decided to go. Plus, it wasn't that long a drive from my house.

First impressions: the shop is pretty decent. I've never been to a tattoo shop before so I really don't have anything else to compare it too. The floor was a bit messy and there were flies flying around but ehhh... it was alright.
I don't want to make this review too, too long so I'll just narrow down the things that the shop should work on: (but I apologize in advance if I do start to ramble.)

1.) The wait time. I don't wanna have to wait to get a piercing for thirty minutes in the front, when you only have like 2 customers at the moment. I can understand if the shop was busy, but when I went... it wasn't, so... yeah.

2.) The jewelry selection. This might be a hit or miss because of what piercing I got. (I got a daith piercing, so there may not be a big selection of jewelry for me to choose from anyway.) But it would be nice for you guys to have more variety of body jewelry to choose from except for two or three choices. And I'm not saying get more belly button rings or gauges. You guys have plenty of those on display. :)

3.) Interaction with your customer. When I got my piercing, I waited outside while another girl with two of her friends, got her nose pierced. The guy doing the piercing was having a conversation with them and cracking jokes and all that. He sounded like a pretty cool guy. But once I got in there... nothing. He was pretty quiet except asking me to look in the mirror at the little dots he drew on my ear to where he was gonna pierce me. I would have liked for him to ask me questions about why I was getting this piercing or if this was my first piercing or SOMETHING. Some little conversation. Like, it just seemed to me that just because I didn't look like those previous girls who walked in, I wasn't someone to talk to or attractive enough to talk to; just another customer. That's a bummer, man. Really. I would have liked talking to you. I think it would have made the experience more enjoyable, instead of me thinking that you were trying to get the piercing done quick enough to get me out of there.

4.) Aftercare. If you've read some other reviews about this place about aftercare, they would be correct. While they do use gloves and sterile equipment (the needles and other instruments are stored in sterile bags), they don't tell you anything about aftercare when you're done. They do have the aftercare instructions at the front counter, but REALLY, who is gonna remember to grab one of those on the way out if you don't remind them? I mean, I saw that you had my paperwork with you when I was getting pierced. (At least, I thought it was my paperwork, but still...) Couldn't you just grab one of those sheets to hand to me on my way out? Or at least tell me how I'm supposed to clean my new piercing? And also, on the subject of aftercare, once my piercing was done, the guy doing my piercing didn't clean it off with saline solution or however piercing places do it. He just told me I was bleeding and told me to hold a paper towel against it to stop bleeding. Ummm.... I thought you were supposed to do that. You know, using gauze to clean up the blood? Well, after that, what do you know, he just got on his phone. Again, not really interacting with the customer; kinda like this is just a boring old job or judging me for not being an attractive customer. (like I said earlier). Or maybe this was just his way of telling me, "Okay your piercing is done, now get the hell out." Anyway, so once I noticed he wasn't paying anymore attention to me, I got up and looked at my piercing, thanked him and left. He did tell me to have a nice night and all; he was a pretty nice guy but just some of the things he did, bothered me. That's all.

But other than that, the place was alright. The guy behind the counter was pretty nice. Plus, the shop was pretty cool looking. It was just little things that I mentioned above that need to change about that place to make it better. Which is why I gave it three stars; my experience wasn't horrible, but it wasn't the best either.
But honestly, judge for yourself how the shop is. You'll probably have a better experience than I did.

*Oh, and one more thing. If you go on your birthday, you'll get your piercing for free. I'm not sure if that's a good or a bad thing when it comes to piercings, but just a little tip for those wanting to get something done on their birthday. I'm not sure about tattoos, so make sure to ask them about that when you go.

This place is amazing and I don't care if I have to drive out of the city to come to this place. I heard about this from my sister and went in at 10:58pm (2 min before closing). Mike was really nice and allowed my sister and I to come in and he pierced my earlobes (my first time!). He was very quick (about 5 min or so) and made me feel quite calm and comfortable. Great service and definitely coming back later in the year.

I wanted to get a cover up tattoo. A friend recommended a guy in this shop. Drove 2 hrs for a quote. The guy recommended was not available so I was introduced to Gabriel by the front desk gal. He quoted me 350. Days later I was there getting my tattoo. He did outline n some shading and said to come back in 2 weeks it was too much work for one day. I was satisfied with outline shading scabbed pretty bad. For 6 months I called every week trying to finish it up. Either Gabriel was not available on my days off or no finish ups allowed on certain days. So I decided to ask for a day off from work on a day finish ups were allowed. Too bad for me he couldn't bcus he was leaving early or wasn't able to make it to work. Gabriel had initially given me his # so I would txt him asking him to pls finish up a tattoo I had already paid for. Eventually he never replied back to my txt msgs. I called the shop upset that it had been too long and I needed my tattoo finished. I did not like the way it looked incomplete. Front desk would promised me she would have him call me ASAP. Never got a call. Last time I called I told her I didn't care who but someone in that shop needed to finish it up. She never called back. Its been 1 year and 3 months since then. I just finished up my tattoo at another (local) shop and paid another $275 to get it done. This is my experience.

Came in 5 min AFTER they closed (messed up, I know, but I was having a bad day). The front desk girl informed me that they actually stop doing work 30 min before closing so I went back into my car to audibly yell, "NOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!" In the midst of my over-dramatic devastation, she came to my car and asked what I and my friend wanted to get done. Apparently. the piercer was going to take pity on us, and our piercings were simple enough. We chilled with the desk girl while waiting for Steve (I think his name was Steve....) to finish tattooing the girl in front of us.Once he got to us, he was awesome and super friendly. I've gotten work done elsewhere and those piecers and tattoo artists can be real d****, Steve was professional, patient, and kind walking me though the whole process. Left him a $40 dollar tip for being so bad ass and accommodating us way past closing.

This is the place I come to get my piercings. They are cheap, but good. Piercings are $15. On specials they are only $10, and on your birthday they are FREE. But only the day of your birthday. Tattoos are a bit more expensive though. Their piercing jewelry is $10 for anything. The guy in the back that does the piercings is really nice, but hardcore sweet with a kick! POW!! Steve-Oh the other guy with the blond pony-tail is nice too, they may look mean because of all of their tattoos and piercing, but looks can and will be deceiving. The only problem I had with this place was that chick who worked in the front because when I first came to this spot back on Hallows Eve 2011, she was the biggest you know what. She was beyond rude, and beyond harsh to the point of life. I stopped coming here for after a while til one day I thought it would be a good idea to tell someone about her rude behavior, so I called up to the place and talked to Steve-Oh about her. I told him, I love getting piercings from them, but seriously that chick is the front is my problem. I told him she was beyond rude, and needed to change her attitude or they were just going to lose lots of business because of her. So, he assured me that he talked to her, and she is beginning to come around. Lol, I made sure she came around, I even wrote a recommendation on their facebook page about that chick.

So, I go back into this place about in 2012 and talk to the chick (just to be talking, no purchase neccessary) she was ok, I saw an improvement, but she needed more work. Now, yesterday I went in to ask about their upcoming specials and jewelry. She was WOW totally sweet, and kind. She even tried to engage in conversation with me and my sister. She was telling me about getting a tongue ring, and how she got one. I was thinking lol, is this the same rude chick, wow she is a whole changed person. Brilliant, my plan has worked!!!! Lol, my sister and I literally sat in the car for 25 mins questioning each other about the chick. I finally decided to walk in, and just talk to her. Lol, she aint got no worries, I aint got no worries....

Oh yeah, I meant to mention all of their jewelry is clean before they stick you. They also give you helpful tips that you should abide by to make sure you don't get an infection.

I will and would most def recommend this place to anyone. Don't go anywhere else spending an arm and a leg on piercings. Claire's isn't even worth it.

A while back I found this little shop on Yelp and decided to get my nose pierced here. The first thing I noticed was the cleanliness. The lobby wasn't clustered or dirty and the gal in the front counter was very kind. I can't remember the piercer's name but I made sure to watch him as he took out his tools and he was definitely on point. He used gloves and a new needle so I felt pretty safe. The price is almost too reasonable; only $15 for both the piercing and hardware!
Also, I recently came back to the shop for a new tattoo, or two. The artist's name is Travis and he was very kind and easy to talk to and not only that, I walked out with two tattoos for a great price.

I definitely recommend this place for any of your piercing and inking needs.

The place was clean but I had an issue with customer service. I walked in and told them I wanted a piercing. I was never given the aftercare instructions. I actually had to search for the stack of them at the front counter when I was done. Also the piercer...he didn't give me his name called a couple of his co-workers/employees dumbass' to my face and said they don't know their shit. Not sure I would go back there. Yes the price was good, but with that price comes the poor customer service, in my opinion.

I love this place. I've gotten the majority of my work done here, and I will continue to return. The shop itself is always very clean. The owner and artists are all very polite and respectful. The atmosphere is chill and down-to-Earth; it's easy to feel comfortable. My artist of choice is Allen Hoy - he is very talented and is nice enough to work with your budget. He did a great job fixing my shoulder piece! I have also had work done by Mike - who is also talented (and a nice guy). The prices are great here. They're considerably lower than other shops that I've been to - and still good quality! I also like that the artists here have a wide range of styles.

When you first pull up the place looks intimidating, however, it IS a tattoo and piercing place, right! Inside is the same and a bit dated, although very neat and clean. I've been to a variety of places over my years and I do have to admit there's something to be said about making a decent interior design. I would suggest them investing a small amount to maybe do an updo.

I still give this place 5 stars though for a few reasons - first, $15 dollars for a piecing! What a great price. Then, there was a long line (we must have come at a rush period) however they moved us along very quickly. I expected to be in there a lot longer than we were. Finally, Mike was phenomenally on how he handled my 15-year-old daughter's belly button piercing. First, he had me, her boyfriend and her all in the room at the same time and it didn't seem to phase him. Secondly, she was quite nervous and the way he gently and continuously spoke to her throughout the process she didn't even know it was done until it was done. To boot, the piercing was perfect. He definitely has finesse his field. If you go, please remember to tip - he deserves it!

I would definitely recommend this place. And, if I decide on something for myself, I will be back.

Just got my helix done here a few hours ago.

This place is a little daunting at first - walls are covered with sketches of tattoos, the staff is fierce, pierced, and tatted up, and they have a freaken boa constrictor just chilling in the corner of the waiting room. My friends and I explained what we wanted done, showed our IDs, filled out some paperwork, and picked out our earrings (they only offer plain silver cuffs and bars to start off with, nothing fancy). It was $15 including the earring - not bad at all! After that, we played the excruciating waiting game and listened to the people before us hissing and gasping in pain (then again, they were getting their nipples pierced...). Mike looks like an intimating guy, but he REALLY took care of us. I told him I got my lobe piercings when I was a baby, so I didn't really know what to expect and he totally talked me through it. A sharp pinch and a "you doin' all right, babygirl?" later, and it was over. A quick, clean procedure. One of my friends got a 2nd lobe piercing and she claims she didn't feel a thing. After we were all finished, Mike explained how to clean and care for our piercings. Honestly though, I'm a little disappointed they didn't supply any aftercare spray; I'm hoping some anti-bacterial soap will work just as well. The three of us were out in less than 30mins.

The staff is pretty vulgar, but somehow, still professional - something that can ONLY be achieved in a tattoo/piercing parlor, I suppose. I think I'm set with the piercings I have, but if I were to ever go back for another, I'd totally make the long drive to come back here. Mike's my savior.

When I first pulled up in the parking lot, I was a little weary about the quality of the place of business because it looked a little rundown outside. I didn't feel any better when I got inside and saw the walls covered in tattoo designs, 2 huge snakes behind a large glass cell, and the bad-ass looking customers who were getting other stuff done. Then again, I've never been to a tattoo/piercing parlor before, so this is probably all normal stuff. After looking at that, it wasn't much of a surprise to see that the staff looked pretty intimidating as well, but as intimidating as they looked, they were actually very chill and laid-back. I felt like a wuss for being nervous, but they never laughed our poked fun at us girls. They were kind and professional. We handed in our ID's, signed a form, and paid $15 each for the procedure and earring altogether.

Mike did a really good job at keeping the conversation up and calmed me down about the procedure (I got a helix piercing done). It was quick and easy with little pinch of pain for a couple seconds, but again, Mike kept me calm. Like he does this stuff second-nature or something. If I ever wanted another piercing done, I would definitely return here. :)
