    do not go here!!!!!!

my husband and i came here so he can get his koi fish colored in well the guy Vinny did his tattoo and shaded it in ALL orange! It looked terrible hedid not to do anything to contrast it.

and when we got there he was very short with me and made me feel uncomfortable, this was the worst experience ever! I regret having my husband go there!

Well we went else where to get it fixed and the guy knows Vinny and we talked about him and he said that he was probablly coming off his herion fix. I was livid! To put your trust into someone and find out there doped up on herion while on the job! NOT OK!

Got my first tattoo from Mike Delarosa yesterday, the artwork was fantastic. I brought in a rough sketch and some images, and Mike blew me away with the drawing that he did for my tattoo, it was far better than I even imagined! I am definitely going back for more tattoos. I have been to several tattoo shops for previous tattoos and Mike is definitely a great artist.  I would highly recommend this shop.

I wish I could remember the guys name.

I had two tattoos done on a sunday night a few months back. Simple stuff. An animated bass guitar and a pair of eyes in a "box."

I looked at the guy's portfolio and he had done some good work. Turns out they are cash only so I left my art with him, headed to the bank and came back. When he was finished with the other person it was my turn.

I had them done on the inside of my wrist. He talked me out of getting a larger bass because of the proportions pointing out that it would no longer be on the inside but wrap around my arm too.

Let's just say I should have listened to myself. The tattoos looked good when finished but not so good when they healed.

When the scabs finally fell off, I could see things were missing from the art work.

There was a line missing from the "box". The colors aren't quite right and I figured when I returned for any touch ups I might need, he would then color in the missing white areas. He also fudged the edge of the box line a bit.

The bass doesn't have any strings. The knobs on the body aren't centered and the tuning pins were done so shitty that two of them are touching. It isn't the right color either and there are bits on the body where the color is missing.

Now this isn't my first rodeo or my first tattoo. At that point I already had 9 others so I know how to take care of the and what to expect after they heal. As well as I was perfectly still while he worked on me. My ex was an amateur tattooer as well. His tattoos are decent enough considering the simple designs I wanted and they were free but I wanted something nicer so I turned to yelp for the recommendation instead of him. Also the person who did my best tattoos at Industrial in Berkeley joined the peace corps :( I'm sure my ex would have done better AND saved me $140...

I paid $120 (not including $20 tip) for what turned out to be pretty shitty tattoos. I didn't even want to return for the free touch ups he offered before I left. It was over-priced to begin with but even more so considering how they turned out.

One tattoo is less than 1/2"x3" and the other is 1/2"x2".

I definitely would not recommend going to this shop!

When I came in for my appointment, i showed up a half an hour early so we could figure out what kind of style and colors i wanted for my tattoo. When some friends and I walked into the shop, I was asked if I had an appointment, i said, "yes, at 6" and the guy at the front was like, "well, its five thirty", pretty much just was a jerk and made my friends and I feel unwelcome. So we all go outside, come in a few minutes later and then he tells me that my artist (mike) is running late, go figure.

When he got there, I had given mike a few different ideas. He completely turned down my idea and told me that it wouldnt work that way. When I told him I wanted to place my tattoo on a lower part of my foot, he claimed that it would fade faster. I understand that as a tattoo artist, they can recommend or give their opinion, but i felt like i had no control over what my tattoo was gonna look like and where it was on my foot. I would have walked out and said forget it but my friend had a gift card given to him for christmas, and we didnt want to waste it.

While i was getting my tattoo, the owner, walked back and forth from the shop to the bar next store, drinking, i'm assuming, since he reaked of alcohol. He was being very obnoxious and loud and made everyone uncomfortable, babbling about things that no one could understand. very unprofessional.

I am happy with my tattoo, but not completely satisfied. I only gave my artist a $10 tip, which is the lowest amount I've ever given to an artist. before we started, he quoted me for a tattoo that would cost $100 and when we were done, he charged me $120, i was pissed off!

I honestly dont understand why or how this place has good reviews, I had a horrible experience there, and definitely wont be going back!

The shop is clean and everyone is friendly. I had a Leaping Spartan tattooed on my calf by Nixx Hill, formerly of Blue Star. I arrived on time for my appointment and Nixx was waiting and ready to go. The art work Nixx did was extremely intricate and very detailed. In fact when I saw the finished work, it looked too good to be a tattoo. I could not be more pleased with Nixx's art and I cannot recommend him and 3 Star highly enough.  Here is a heads up, the shop is cash only so be prepared . . .
