I no longer have virgin skin - I got my first tattoo today! Â I called yesterday and the guy who answered the phone was really helpful and explained what I could expect and some tips to make sure I would be as comfortable as possible during the appointment. Â When I entered the shop today, everyone was really nice and very understanding that this was my first experience. Â I worked with Bryan. Â He was awesome! Â He was great about tweaking my design sample until we got it just right. Â He talked me through the process and also kept up good conversation while he was working which helped to keep my mind off what he was doing. Â The shop is set up with open stations, everyone was very friendly, and it was super clean. Â I left with a beautiful tattoo to honor someone very special, and I thank Bryan for sharing his artistry. Â I highly recommend Silver Needle Studios!
Review Source:Today I got my very first tattoo. Since my chosen design was small, simple, and used only black ink, the guy at the front told me right off the bat that their minimum charge was $60 and that my design wasn't necessarily $60 worth of tattoo, and asked if that was ok with me. I really appreciated how upfront he was about it, and I decided that I'd rather pay a little extra to get tattooed at such an honest and professional (and highly reviewed!) place.
The gal at the front also really helped me out by telling me about her experience with an ankle tattoo. Both of these people also were great about putting me at ease and, when it came time to apply the stencil, were absolutely dedicated to making sure everything was EXACTLY how I wanted it.
Bryan was my tattoo artist and his work was quick, clean, and crisp. He talked me through the whole thing and kept my mind off the pain by chatting about the meaning behind my tattoo, his experience in the business, and the origins of tattooing in general. I was incredibly impressed both with his work and with him.
Afterward all three people helped me to make sure I knew exactly how to take care of my new tat, and, to my surprise and pleasure, did NOT try to pressure me into buying any kind of expensive aftercare stuff.
Overall, I had a GREAT experience. Great people, great ink-work, and I ALWAYS felt like everyone in the shop cared about giving me the absolute best experience possible. If and when I get ever another tattoo, Silver Needle Studio is definitely where I'll be going!
Six months ago I had this idea for a tattoo. I wanted a green sea turtle ( honu ) that was unique. I decided I would add a ying-yang to his back, so I found some images of turtles and a ying-yang that included fire and water. Clearly my love for the Hawaiian Archipelago influenced my plans.
Five months ago I walked into Silver needle Studios in Concord and looked through some artists portfolios and Immediately knew Mark S. was the artist for my honu. Turns out he is in very high demand and I made an appointment on a Tuesday two and a half months away. At the time I was self employed but right before my appointment I went to work for a general full time so I had to reschedule a month and a half later which was the first Saturday available.
Well, Yesterday I finally met Mark. I had sent him images and ideas through email and told him he had free reign to create my tattoo. He far exceeded my expectations with his awesome artwork!
His entire staff is very professional and friendly just like him!
Hope you all like...
