Bad experience at Bedazzled. Â Rude woman who works there with no customer service skills. She sat at her computer and paid us no attention until I went looking for her. She acted like we were an interruption. She was curt and not helpful. We came in to make a bracelet on my daughters birthday. We left after the bad treatment. Daughter was sad on her birthday because she wanted to make a birthday bracelet. Will not go back and will tell others not to go to Bedazzled. Â Do not recommend.
Review Source:Beadazzled is very much still in business---they have just moved to a new, and better location! More light! They are stll on mt diablo blvd between Chico's and the Wells fargo bank in the corner of old st marys' road.
Their primary focus is on seed beads and they have a great selection, but they have plenty of stones, crystals, findings, tools etc. Â the prices are moderate, and Lilian, the owner, is very helpful.
There is parking in a lot behind that is shared with Wells Fargo, it is a bit of an abrupt turn to get into the lot.
They are closed, out of business.
They were the largest retailer of beads in the area, in business for many years.
Due to the economic downturn, I was told by another retailer, sadly, they had to close their business.
Because there are still live reviews on Yelp, I went by the location, just ot make sure. They are no longer there.
Obviously, it is not possible to rate a business that is out of business.
This place is okay. They have a pretty good amount of beads, but not really a very wide selection. I like gemstones, and their selection was very limited. And, what they do have, are all in a case, which makes hard to look at them unless you ask the woman to pull out all the trays.
Lots of glass beads and some others, but I didn't find anything that really stood out. Everything was pretty run of the mill.
I think House of Beads in Walnut Creek is a much better option.
If you like beads...making your own jewelry, or looking at sparkly things...this is the place to go!!
I don't think I've ever seen this many beads in one place before, the selection is huge...bigger than a normal craft store's bead section, and they even have semi-precious beads too (amethyst, garnet, ruby, peridot, turquoise, and TONS of others!), then they have a TON of glass beads too, in every color and tons of different shapes & sizes!
They even have a big table in the center of the store filled with beads in case you'd like to purchase a couple beads & not an entire string.
The lady that works there is soooo helpful, you can basically tell her what you're looking for & she knows her inventory so well that she can point you to what you wanted, or give you some similar ideas...she's super nice and very sweet!
If you want some unique beads at really good prices, and higher quality than most craft store stuff, this is the place for you!!
*****IMPORTANT!*****
Remember to feed your parking meter!!! I put in 30min worth of change & there's so much to look at in this store, I got a ticket (Booooo! $25!)...and stayed in here for nearly 2 hours shopping!!
I can not say enough about how great this place is. Â If you're looking for a huge selection of beads, charms, and jewelry accessories; this is the place. Â Not only can they get you all the materials for all your crafting needs, but the staff is super helpful and super friendly! Â My fiancee frequents this store quite often and she says that she feels like it's family whenever she walks through the door. Â The owner always takes time to share ideas and thoughts on what the latest techniques and styles are. Â On top of that, if you're not feeling particularly creative, they have a beautiful selection of hand made jewelry that was made by the owner herself. Â In my humble opinion, this is the best bead/crafting store in the bay area!
Review Source:Bedazzled is a local bead store with loads of beautiful suprises. Â Lillian, the owner is very helpful and willing to teach you on the spot if you have a question. Â She carries loads of gemstone beads. Â Unlike other larger stores she sells many individual stone (briolettes etc.) and will often sell 1/2 a strand. Â Her selection is wonderful! Â Not very impressive from the street but check it out inside!!
Review Source:Pretty good supply for a local store. The owner was very helpful and answered my obviously beginner questions. She has a good selection of wires, findings, in both base metals and plated and filled. There is also a nice selection of semi-precious beads, along with brass, gold, silver and copper beads and charms, clasps, etc. I will drive an extra 15 minutes to get to her store to get what I want (as compared to my local store). Not one-of-a-kind stuff, but definitely good for what you need especially if you're in the middle of a project and realized.....crap! you need a bail! or something else. Plus there is a little parking lot right next door.
