Just going on customer service alone: this place sucked. Visited 3 times over a week period and was only able to talk to some one once. The other two times we waited for 30minutes with nothing more than a "hello," It's  as if they didn't want my money. Maybe we were treated like ghosts because we had our son, but mommies and daddies need ink too!

On another note, I listened to an artist try to down sell a tattoo, telling a woman who wanted a half sleeve, that her design would take too long. After she acknowledged that she was fine doing multiple sittings he continued to tell her that it was going to "take a while".  It was a memorial tattoo for her sister who had passed..... It didn't seem to master if it took a year! She just wanted the DAMN tattoo and the dude keep talking about the amount of time it would take. I get that it is a lot of work, but if you're not down for the job- don't try to change the customer's design.

When I lived in Seaside Creative visions was my place to go. I have had a handful of piercings done there and 2 of my 3 tattoos done. Cody the piercer was always a crack up and really awesome guy to talk to. My tattoo guy was Ross and honestly for me being a first time tattoo recipient he made my experience so awesome. My first tattoo with him was the Avenged Sevenfold logo (Deathbat) across my shoulders....yes you can laugh now but I have been a fan of the band since I was nine and I got the tattoo when I was 18. The tat has amazing detail and to this day I still get compliments. My second tattoo was a little more then a year later, I wanted the two flags of my parents nationalites below my Deathbat. First one was the flag of Norway and once again Ross nailed it. Since those 2 tats I moved to back to my home town of San Diego but I plan on going back up to finish my back with Ross.

I'm a fan!! Talked to Adam about getting a piece on Thursday, emailed him the picture and showed up on Saturday and got it. He nailed it, it turned out just like I wanted. Everyone there was super friendly, place was clean (including bathroom!), and from what I've see. They do great work. Appointments during the week, walk ins on the weekends.

walked in, waited for about 15 minutes, walked out.

too bad for them too, because i was going to get a HUGE piece, covering both legs.

    guess it's members only.

All I have to say is research, research, research your artist before going under the needle!

First off, I had made an appointment and got there 10 minutes early, only to have to wait almost a full hour before getting started - and he wasn't even tattooing someone else either, he was on a "break." Helloooo, we had an appointment. This should have been my first clue. The artist hadn't even started my sketch up even though we went through it a few days before.

Anyways, to make a long story shorter than I already have,  I didn't end up being stoked on my artwork - which I realize is mostly my fault. The artist and I were't on the same page about what I had envisioned and I settled. BUT, I have scar tissue and the tattoo did not heal like it should have, which is not my fault - this is due to bad tattooing technique. Thanks, it's only on my skin FOREVER.

But thankfully, I got a referral to see Rick at Gold Coast, and he fixed my shit up! Thank goodness too cause I was pretty damn depressed about this permanent "art" that was on my skin. Rick totally free handed some more design around it and turned it into an epic piece.

Maybe other artists there are better, but I just have to recommend you do your research before putting something permanent on your body. Make sure you're clear about what you want - even try to have your own artwork before hand. Better yet, talk to people and get referrals. Don't get tattooed until you KNOW the artist knows what the fuck they're doing.

I do have to say the artist was super nice and cool to chat with... But that doesn't change the fact that he scarred my shit up didn't tattoo me well.

I recently was pierced by Cody and it was by far the greatest piercing experience I have ever had. I had an apadravya done and was extremely nervous. He was amazing and put me at complete ease. He saw my nerves and did everything he could to help make me relax. His breathing techniques were incredible. He uses all internally threaded jewelry for piercing, and had everything autoclaved and sterile. The procedure was quick and surprisingly not painful at all. He changed his gloves a handful of times and even used one in a nifty way to bandage my piercing before I left in case of bleeding. Every tip he has given me for aftercare has only proven further that he really knows what he is doing. I would recommend him with 100% confidence. You can tell he truly loves everything about his job. It makes a huge difference and definitely shows. I can't wait to go back and see him again. Thanks Cody!

Go somewhere else. I got 2 pieces done here both have had to be redone by other artists who I trust. My mom also got a piece done, the ink bleed (within her skin) really bad and again had to have it redone by another artist who we trust. My pieces were done by 2 different guys. The second guy even said he hopes he does better then the first guy so my opinion of the place would change. No such luck. I haven't tried any other shop in the area because I am too fearful of needing to get them touched up. I am sticking to my guys who have down over 16 tattoos on me without ANY problems. Years later they all look brand new, not the ones from this shop however. Lines were not straight or even, colors were not completely filled in, doesn't seem the ink they use is good quality. Just awful. Can't believe they have been around as long as they have. Poor work. They are friendly for the most part but I would not trust them to leave any more permanent marks on me.

Adam tattooed my mom and I, when we went in a week later to have my mom's piece filled in with color, he had no recall of who we were and didn't remember his own work. That is when we decided to have someone else color it in and touch it up. I have never met a tattoo artist who can not recognize their own work.

The pictures on Facebook make their work look incredible but I would not trust them. I do not see how they can post work like that and produce the crap in person that I have seen. Doesn't add up.

If you are ever in Folsom or the Sacramento area, I HIGHLY recommend Folsom City Ink. Great guys, impeccable work :)

Creative Visions Does Not Care About You, So Don't Bother With This Place...

I walked in to consult with an artist/owner Sean, who had been recommended to me by friends. I had expressed to him what I wanted and that I was very eager to get started. He said he would have a drawing ready for me in a week. After two weeks passed, I called Sean and reminded him who I was and what I wanted. He assured me again that he would have a drawing for me within the week. So, another two weeks passed. I called again and he was on vacation. I spoke to Raphael and  told him I was not happy with the lack of communication from the shop. He was apologetic and assured me that Sean would call the following Monday and that of course customer service and attention were a priority at Creative Visions and not to worry-nice guy, but was he ever WRONG. So, AGAIN another week passes and no word from anyone. I call again and spoke to someone else, not Sean, not Raphael-at this point I was very offended that my business was clearly unwanted by these creeps. He listened and said perhaps if Sean could not  bear  the agony of helping me as he said he would, that another artist from Creative could work with me. Not what I wanted-to be passed off to someone else because I was not important enough-really guys? As if that is supposed to make me feel better?
The bottom line is that this place does not care about new customers and will give you major lip service and a headache to go with it. What is wrong with you guys Creative? I hate to write a bad review about a local place, but Creative has earned it. Shame on you Creative Visions...

If you're on the central coast and looking to get some ink, Creative Visions is seriously the place to go.

Ross, Brandon, Adam and ALL the artists there are incredibly kind and always looking to make sure you leave happy. I've had tattoos done by Ross and Raphael and love all the work I've left there with. Cody, the piercer, is funny and professional. It's a great environment and their work is honest and great.

Got pierced here a few years ago, as did my son.  My mother got a tattoo here by an artist who now has his own shop elsewhere (as did I, several months later at his new location), so while her tattoo turned out beautifully, the credit can't really go with Creative Visions (anymore).

The decor is nice.  I'm not a fan of the way the tattoo stations are laid out.  A bit awkward and uncomfortable.  The piercing room is in the back, quiet and private.  Neither I nor my son have had any problems with our piercings and were impressed with the knowledge of the piercer.

I'd go here for piercings any day, but prefer Bodhi Tattoo Studio for ink.

My boyfriend got his most recent tattoo here in December (see Flying Hellfish photo).
Raph was awesome, really listened to what he wanted, was extremely careful and detailed. Even though he went over his original 2 hour quote, he didn't charge any extra. His work came out sharp and the color is excellent.
We had come on a pretty busy Saturday and they took a phone # and called us as soon as someone was available, maybe 2 - 3 hours later.

I have been going to Creative Visions for a few years now. Sean is by far the best artist I have ever had the pleasure of letting ink my skin. I had gotten a few tattoos prior to coming to Creative Visions and after letting Sean work on my most recent piece I will never let another tattoo artist touch my skin. If I want something done, Sean is my guy. The shop is clean, the staff is professional and if you have a long session, enjoy playing PS3/Xbox 360 or watching a blue ray to pass the time. Prices are VERY reasonable and I always feel I'm getting out much cheaper than I should have, usually lower than what I was originally quoted. I love this place. Speaking of, I feel the itch for a new tattoo!!! Better make an appointment with Sean soon!

I went to Creative Visions for my first tattoo. I knew what I wanted, brought them a picture and Adam was great! He made me feel comfortable throughout the process and I couldn't be more satisfied with my tat! Highly recommend Creative Visions!

I have been to Monterey several times and have gotten a few tattoos here.  You need to arrive early to get a walk in appointment and sometimes it takes a while for the staff to help you (the reason why I dont give them 5 stars).  That quality of work is pretty good.  This is probably the best place in Monterey to get some ink.....

I've been to other tattoo parlours for tattoos, but so far my experience has been the best at creative visions. Other shops did a good job, but charged more, and were less professional. The staff at creative visions are polite, professional, and I am always satisfied with the results. They have a few different artists, so work with one that you feel will do the best job for you!

I wanted to like this place. I heard great things about them. When I walked in I stood at the counter for about 10 minutes and no one even came up to help. So I left.

I got my nose pierced out of the blue... It was more part of a going away festivity I guess.  My youngest sister took off th Brazil to study for 6 months to a year... we were supposed to get them done together and have a hol-e-day but she ended up getting her's when she was up in SC one day.

So she took me in and asked if she wanted me to have her hold my hand and I'm like , "No gracias" so not my style.  The little shit just wanted to see me in pain.  It was a good pure minute of solid pain and apparently I made the funniest face ver because she was on the floor cyring from laughing so hard for a good 3 or so minutes.
The gentleman that pierced my nose ( Cody I believe) was super professional and thorough.  Telling me everything I needed to know and then some.   I asked a couple questions and he answered them and I felt totally comfortbale in his little office workspace which reminded me of a doctor's office.  I highly recommend Creative Visions.

I have spent over 900 dollars at creative, and not because I couldnt get the work done anywhere else, but because of the more than talented skill of there tattoo artists. Shawn did my work, and let me tell ya its incredibly detailed, if your looking for any type of asian art he is the man!

I went here for my second piece of work, went a week before for an appointment and met up with Orlando who was eager and real friendly and looked over my work. A week later, I come back for my appointment, find great parking, there is an awesome parking lot behind the place, which cost me about 8.00 for three hours. I get into the shop, it was dead when I went, for the three hours I was there, only about three people came in; one to look around, two to ask questions.

Orlando was the artist, he was kind, considerate and took my idea sketch and made it into something grand. I'm very please with the work and the place, that I would go back, only their very best talent went and left to another shop! I would highly recommend anyone to come into the shop and ask questions; they also have a very informative and personal website, that you can always look up.
