Okay so I started out by calling the shop to see if I needed an appointment! Â You guessed it I am not a tattoo aficionado. Â I didn't realize that you just walk in and see if they are available. Â I am in my early 50's and decided to get my first tattoo in commemoration to my college roommate who had a 26 month fight with pancreatic cancer. Â One of the last things she asked me was to not forget about her and so I thought a little tattoo was the best way to show her I would never forget her. Â I went in on Friday afternoon and Sara greeted me. Â There were two girls ahead of me that couldn't decide so Sara took care of me right away. Â The shop was so clean. Sara spent so much time and care prepping for my tattoo that the prep time exceeded the tattooing time. Â My tattoo is very small and is on my ankle. Â Sara was very patient and exacting in placing the stencil she drew. Â She was so kind and pleasant with me. Â To say I felt like a fish out of water is an understatement but, after just a short time with Sara she made me feel like an important customer and that this tattoo was the most important one that she had done. Â I told Sara why I was getting the tattoo and I could see in her eyes she shared my emotion thus putting me even more at ease about having her do the work. Â When she was done I took one look at the tattoo and was so pleased I started crying. Â I looked at Sara and she had tears in her eyes too. I found the Flaming Dragon (Pacific location) on yelp and then also called my eighteen year old daughter to ask her since she has friends with tattoos. I couldn't have been luckier to have stumbled upon the Flaming Dragon and Sara having the time to perform the work. Â I don't know why I felt so compelled to have that tattoo done on Friday but, it never would have happened had I not been so lucky in that Sara had had a cancellation that afternoon. Â I witnessed everyone in the shop with customers and everyone was kind and professional. Â Everyone looked at my little tiny tattoo and made me feel important. Â They were all so genuine I felt like I was among friends. Â I sent a picture of the tattoo to my girlfriend at 8:30 PM Friday night and found out the angels came to pick her up at 3:15 AM Saturday morning. Â It was all fate that I pushed myself to go and that Sara was free to do the work. Â I can't thank Sara and the entire staff at the Flaming Dragon enough. No matter if this is your first or you one hundredth tattoo This is the best place to go. Â From the heart - Thank you Sara and the staff at the Pacific Avenue Flaming Dragon Tattoo shop
Review Source:Imagine two little old ladies of 60, although I don't look it or feel it, trotting in to get tattoos. Â I know it sounds silly but it's on my bucket list and now I can check it off. Â That said, Brad was amazing. Â I told him what I wanted, he sketched it, did the tattoo and was funny on top of it all. Â Thought it would hurt a lot more than it did so I was pleasantly surprised. Â The store was clean and there were many customers, a lot of them repeat which say plenty for the business. Â i'd recommend this place to anyone.
