Freaks On 39th Street

By leaps and bounds, the best piercing experience I have ever had. Clay  did my double forward helix. I have never been more relaxed or more sure that a piercing was going to go well. I was fully informed about every step of the process--I've been pierced before, and this was the best rundown I've ever been given.

I had a previous tattoo I wanted to get a skull added to.  I had Eric do a design for me and I came back a couple of days later to get the tat.  The design was awesome, as was the tattoo!  Eric does some amazing work, and I'm very pleased with how my newest addition looks.  I'll definitely come back for more in the future!

Eric McJilton is awesome and super sweet. I have two tattoos done by him and both have been wonderful experiences, but I will say this much- DOUBLE CHECK THE SPELLING ON THE STENCIL BEFORE YOU START THE WORK! :)

Their old piercer, Jeremy, was AMAZING too, but sadly he moved to Seattle to start his own shop. Good for him. He came back a few months ago for a visit and still did some work while he was here, so if anything just go in and ask the guys when Jeremy is coming back!

This Freaks moved sometime about a year ago, from like 15 blocks away and I think the move was a really good idea. Their new location is much more inviting and comfortable and doesn't look like some cheesy, bad, tattoo shop you'd see in a big, bad, tattoo city. :)

After all this good news, I will say that I do think there are better places to go in KC... I just don't know where, yet.
