first of all, these people that run this store are all about money, they will have different prices on the same items, and I have been overcharged by them numerous times. these people are in all honesty worthless pieces of shit. the owner constantly swindle from customers, and will put 5 different prices on the same item. this place is worthless every employee is worthless and I don't even know how this place stays open, they are racist, against anyone who isint from the middle east like him, its disgusting. I hope for the best for them but karma comes back to bite you in the ass and I hope it does for these people, I am sick of arguing with the owner when I see something for 22.00 and see the same thing for 35.00 and when I point it out to him he says ok ill give it to you for $22.00 and ends up charging me $30, that's criminal, I am currently disputing charges with my bank, if that doesn't work I am seriously considering criminal charges from the money they have overcharged me in the past, which is around $400-700 in overcharges, never use this place, go to voltage or legends, this place, its owner and employees are worthless. so if you feel like being overcharged for any item, if they sell you a $20 pipe they will make you pay $30 hoping you don't notice, they are swindlers embezzlers and all around bad people so if your anything  but middle eastern expect to be ripped off.
Review Source:Make sure and watch your receipt. Â The owner of this store sneaks in extra charges and overcharges if you're not looking.
I pointed out a price discrepancy on an item I was purchasing because there was different prices on the same product. Â He promised to charge the lower price.
I had no reason to think otherwise and didn't pay attention to the price he was ringing up.
After looking at my receipt, I pointed out he charged me the wrong price. Â He claims he never said anything about charging the lower price.
What a swindler. Â I'll never go back.
I have had three tattoos done by Andy. My first by him was done a few years back. A large angel across my back. I then had to upgrade my first tattoo after the Angel, because it looked so insignificant. I had him do a larger, blue open rose on my left upper back. Then I got my third tattoo from him, a version of a ying yang on my hip. All my tattoos look good. My cover up, needs a slight retouch, and I had left messages a month after to have it touched. I also got pierced by Andy.
The owner and the guys in the shop are very friendly. If you are looking for ink, just head to downtown Concord. They do great work.
This place really is a little gem in Concord, if you are into what they offer.
I never got a tattoo from here, but I've purchased several hookahs and other water pipes from here. Yes, there prices are a little higher and they don't have a huge selection, but what the hell... coming here beats the crap out of going to Berkeley to save 5 bucks.
The owner is a very nice guy, and if I am a little short or don't want to break a big bill, he'll just call it even. He was also very patient when I was looking at hookahs and was able to answer all my questions.
Give this place a shot! Supoort a great local business!
I have a awesome tat from andy.......Steve the owner has been taking care of me for years for all my needs from tattoo's to water pipes, tickets to venues, to piercings and jewlery. He also provides answers and advise on a lot of things. I would recomand this shop to anyone for anything they sell. Stop by and look or just chat it up with Steve. Very excellent shop.
Review Source:So about a month ago I got my first tattoo with Andy. My experience was great. I brought in a design that I wanted as my first tattoo and that's exactly what I got. Andy was kind and focused on my drawing. I took a total of 3 hours and the best of it all I was not over charged especially for the size of the tattoo. My tattoo has not faded and looks beautiful as when I first got it. When I wear nice tops in the summer or when I go out clubbing I get great compliments about my tattoo. As a matter of fact toady I went to Starbucks and a young girl stated Vary Nice tattoo :-) Â I am vary pleased with my tattoo and I would recomend Generation Rock and Andy to any one.
Review Source:I only trust G Rock with very simple tattoos.I usually visit Berkeley for difficult tatoos. Â I couldn't think of anything else more simple than a peace sign the size of the eraser on a pencil at the top of my ear like where an original cartilage piercing would go and a letter K and a spade sign on the inner part of my lip. Well the guy said that the lip tat would last at least a month but it only lasted a night. The very next day it disappeared.
And in order to recieve my 10 minute tattoo i had to wait for an hour and half he kept taking other customers for piercings that he rushed through. This place is very unprofessional and has a turn over of employees. I have had numerous "bad experiences" here.
Let me tell you a little story about the middle-eastern guy that owns this spot.....About 7 years ago, a friend and I went in to buy a bong. We went with the owner into the little room in the back with all the paraphernalia, and were trying to choose between one really nice one, that was more money...or a cheaper one that had thinner glass. As we were talking about it...the guy picks up the more expensive bong, and slams it against the counter SO hard that I thought the counter was going to break in half. But here's the thing.....the BONG didn't break! That's why he did it. It was as thick as a champagne bottle, and the point was, "Hey, silly whiteboys...when you are all spaced out on your newfound california shrubbery....you are GOING to drop this! Do you want to come back over and over? Or just buy this one?" We got the hint....and bought it. And it still lives. TO THIS DAY! It is the ONLY survivor of a VERY long legacy! And here's the part that got me..... Last year, I went out there to buy another piece of glass. By myself. The guy recognizes me. Â 7 YEARS LATER! And says....."That bong never broke...did it?". Â I was FLOORED! How the hell does ANYONE have that kind of memory? It's not like we ever went back! No reason.....we bought the good one! Definitely recommend this place! Have no idea about the tattoo parlor though.
Review Source:The guy did a really good job on my tattoo. Â I love it! Â I don't know about the other service (piercing, etc.) but in terms of tattoos, this is a pretty good place to get it done at. Â They also said they will touch up if I need it to be done in 2 weeks.
I didn't like the fact that since the guy knew that it was my first time getting a tattoo, he overcharged me.
When I was in high school, underage kids used to hit this place up for tattoos and piercings without their parents' permission. Â
When I turned 18 I got my belly button pierced here. Â The girl pierced me crooked, pulled it out and told me to come back a week from the day so she could redo it. Â Have you ever felt your skin regenerate in 15 minutes? Â It's a fuckin' weird feeling and I don't recommend it.
I came back a week later and my belly was re-pierced, only to get all Exorcist on me a couple of months later. Â I'm talking pus and strange skin-like bits pulsing out of this cavity, man. Â I finally pulled the damn thing out and called it quits.
A few months later I got my belly button pierced again by this really cool guy at a Berkeley retailer. Â No problems and no complications. Â It's been three years and my piercing is fine.
Final verdict? Â Say NO to Generation Rock! Â Bleargh.
