Rachna came to my sister in-law's bridal shower, and she was amazing! Â She was punctual, professional, friendly, patient, and of course talented!! Â I'm adding some pics of her amazing work as well. Â So many shower guests wanted to know where I found her and were full of compliments about how much fun they were having! Â I would not hesitate to have her again, I'm hoping for another excuse to do so!
Review Source:The henna designs glittered and cascaded down the arms, hands, and fingers of my guests at my 30th birthday celebration, and were the absolute highlight of the party. All of the ladies, and a few very secure men (including my husband) got the tattoos and raved endlessly about how amazing they were. The henna was very light at first and I was worried but the second day it darkened nicely and you could see the designs and I didnt look like a burn victim! I would recommend Rachna to others.
Review Source:Rachna is wonderful! Â She made a beautiful design for my 8 months pregnant belly. Â I was surprised that the dye smelled so good (eucalyptus, lemon, and lavender!) It's making this last stretch more fun :) She works out of her home, so don't think you're in the wrong place when you arrive, and bring cash!

My group included a number of Indians familiar with henna as well as many first-timers. Everyone loved her work. She was friendly, professional, and totally flexible and sweet with all my guests--including my groom's 80 yr old grandmother (who was pretty nervous about it) and various of his uncles who decided that they wanted henna on their hands, too...

Twice I've had the pleasure of having Rachna's handiwork done and both times it was fabulous.
The first time was a bachelorette party for a girlfriend. Â Rachna came to the tea parlor where our first stop of the day long activities started and gave everyone lovely henna tattoos. Â She's not only talented, but sweet, kind and always has a smile on. Â Every single one of us girls were thrilled with whatever we had done, some even had a few tattoos done!
The second time was for a baby shower, where again she gave all of us the same service. Â Beautiful work, especially the momma-to-be's belly! Â It's a great detail to add to any occasion and I would highly recommend her work if you need these services. Â Her talent is simply amazing!
Rachna is wonderful! I hired her in 2008 to do henna tattoos at my baby shower. She did designs for all of my guests and a nice one on my belly, too. She is very creative, gracious, fun and friendly, and works quickly too (so no one was left out). You can't beat her prices either. All of my guests loved their henna designs and thought it was such a great idea. I highly recommend Henna and Beyond for your next event! AND...I have just placed my first henna candle order from her (25 votives to give as favors at my upcoming birthday dinner), and I can't wait to receive them! I've seen examples on her flickr page and they're lovely.

Once again, her gracious attitude and amazing design has made an event of ours a more fun one! Â We first met her at a Yelp event, then we ask her to come for a bridal shower, and then last weekend she came for a baby shower. Â Each time, she has put a smile on everyone's face and left a beautiful piece of art that reminds them of the fun times for weeks to come. Â
This most recent time, it was my baby party. Â I specifically ask for Rachna and luckily, she was available on the day we planned. Â She did my foot and baby belly and then a variety of works on all the other girls at the party. Â It's been many days now and the designs have gotten darker and more dramatic. Â I really love them!
While she was doing my designs, I ask her if she'd be able to decorate a cake in the same way... well, apparently she used to do cake decoration too. Â I would love to have a reason to have a henna design cake so now I have to think of a reason to have a party with one! Â I read another review where she designed candles for a business... her talent is endless!

Rachna was a pleasure to work with. She did the bridal henna for me during my wedding and also applied henna for bunch of other ladies. As I was wearing a gown for the wedding, I wanted a design that did not make it look too traditional or "Indian." Rachna clearly understood my requirements and added a modern touch to the design. Everyone was amazed at the speed with which she applies intricate henna designs. She is a professional who adds a personal touch to her work. Review Source:Rachna was amazing, very fair price and accommodating to my busy schedule, that is important to a stressed out bride!! her designs were BEAUTIFUL and she was sooo easy-going about the designs, whatever i asked her to do, she happily made that, even though it was not on the example picture. she was FAST!!! and thats also very important because you dont want to sit frozen there for hours and hours while getting fresh henna put on you! also, her mehndi didnt smell gross, as she makes it herself with only fresh ingredients... and lastly, IT CAME OUT EXTREMELY DARK BLACK!!!! VERY DARK AND STAYED FOR WEEKS!!! WHICH IS THE MOST IMPORTANT THING when it comes to mehndi! whats the point of all that work and money if the color doesnt turn out right??? Â We come from a family that is part Kurdish and my sil wanted to honor our culture by having her hands done prior to the wedding. Â Rachna was wonderful! Â She worked off some print out of traditional Kuridsh designs for the bride and did beautiful work copying designs in her books as well as off the cuff free-hand work as all the guests had their hands done. Â Rachna was professional, affordable, worked quickly and was a joy to work with. Â She even did some artwork on my child's palms. Â We all would highly recommend her.
Review Source:I met Rachna at a bridal fair and am so happy we chose her to be the artist for my mehndi party. Â My mom and I went to her a few days before the actual party because we knew we wanted more elaborate work done and we wanted to be able to mingle without worrying about ruining the designs if they were done at the party.
We pointed out some things we liked from past work she has done and from there, she created and applied some gorgeous designs to our hands and feet. Â Amazing how quickly she does it, but she really knows what she's doing.
She was a huge hit at the party! Â Everyone agreed that she was a sweetheart and a great artist. Â Professional, friendly and down to earth. Â Such a big help to my mom and I too.

Rachna was professional, responsive and fairly priced. Â It was a great deal at $75/hr plus travel expenses for a group of 12 women celebrating my sister's bachelorette party. (total time 2.5 hrs because the bride-to-be did some complicated designs) Â We had a fabulous time! Â Rachna was well prepared with a book of designs, instructions and a friendly attitude! Â I would definitely recommend her for your next party.
Review Source:I had been thinking about getting some henna tattoos for a while now. Â After I saw the tattoos from Henna and Beyond at the Junnoon Yelp Event I decided to get something. Â I started reading the information on Rachna site.
I was very intrigued by the information regarding henna cooling the body. Â I thought that was so interesting. Â I am thinking that it could help a lot of people cool their body temperatures down.
Anyway, I went to Rachna. Â She is very kind and sweet. Â She listened to what I wanted. Â She did both ankles, tops of feet, and a little on each calf in less than 35 minutes. Â
I learned a lot for next time. Â I need to plan better so I am moving less because some of the henna flaked off too soon, I think, the color didn't sink in enough. Â And it is kind of messy. Â This of course, is NOT a reflection on Henna and Beyond---she is wonderful, but I am just sharing some info for people that are trying to learn about it.
When you first get it is like "puff paint" on your skin and the longer it stays on the better the "stain". Â And when it dries it comes off and is rather messy. Â
I liked it. Â I will do it again. Â And I will go to Rachna because she is sweet, affordable, and I like to help small businesses. Â
And regarding henna cooling the body, I don't know if I had it in my head so therefore it did or what, but for the whole week that I had my tattoos, I had to wear socks because I was cool. Â Henna or my head? Â Don't know. Â Try it and let me know.
Rachna was great! She is extremely talented and works fast. Originally she was only going to henna my pregnant sister's belly and maybe our family friend but when we saw how nice it looked, my mom and I jumped at the opportunity to squeeze us in. Rachna was very flexible and included us as well. She has been studying the art of henna for years and is very knowledgable. Not only do I give her 5 stars for her mastery but also for who she is. When you invite a stranger into your home, there is always a chance it could be awkward but we had a grand time. We settled on calling her a hennaista! Â Thank you Rachna!
Review Source:I used Rachna for my wedding last month in Woodside. Â And she was absolutely amazing. Â I combined my rehearsal dinner with mehendi. Â Rachna did mehendi for me, my wedding party, and family. Â In under three hours, she was able to do beautiful designs for the whole group, and a very detailed and intricate design for me. Â I loved how it turned out on my wedding day. Â
She was also super nice and wonderful to work with -- I contacted her at the last minute. Â She was extremely flexible and was able to work within my schedule and other constraints. She came out with a big book of designs for people to choose from and also designed some on the fly based on people's requests. Â Plus, her prices can't be beat! Â My mom and aunt are still raving about her to this day. Â Â
I can't recommend Rachna enough!
