I just had my first tattoo done here.  The experience was perfect.  Paul helped me tweak the design and there was no pressure.  I was nervous, but it was quick and although painful, I certainly have experienced worse!  Don't hesitate to come here - they are professional and very good.  Especially with the first timers.

Alice is fantastic. It's no wonder she is booked out months!

I should have written this about four months ago, but I guess better now than never!

It was my first tattoo experience. My friend had suggested to go to Amanda from Infinity, but since she's on sabbatical from tattooing I made an appointment with Sean Lanusse.

Now, I was very particular with my tattoo... I'd had the design in mind for a couple of years and wanted it to be "perfect". He too in all my ideas, worked with me to give it real form, and the next time I came in (which was a week later) we modified and refined it. He was patient with my need for perfection, but did explain that no tattoo comes out perfect... Boy, was he wrong! Anyway, worked with me to get all the lettering right, etc.

The actual experience: he made me feel very comfortable. Actually gave me a lollipop at the beginning for the sugar and cause I was nervous. The environment was nice, lots of joking around. The actual tattooing didn't hurt as much as I thought it would. Honestly, I was completely fine. I did start feeling a little woozy and pukish in the middle (as if I were drunk or something). He stopped, let me breathe, got me some juice (for the sugar).

tl:dr : Great experience! Patient and comforting tattoo artist - Sean Lanusse

Rich at Infinity was recommended by a friend and I couldn't be happier!! Shop is super clean and really friendly while also maintaining a level of professionalism I like when being stuck with a bunch of needles.
Rich is a Genius! My idea was only good and he was able to create a look much better than my vision.
I'll be back for my yearly tattoo again and again!

    Mixed experience.

Pros: Went in to get a set of 3 bands around my forearm and a couple of words on my wrists. Rich's work was superb, he has great technical skill and I've been complimented by various artists I've run into regarding how well he was able to pull it off. He was also very friendly and professional throughout the tattooing process and both invited me into conversation and left me alone to enjoy the endorphins when I was more spaced out.

Cons: Original quote for the work was $250. When it came time to pay, the bill was $400. Considerable difference and not something I was expecting. This meant that I wasn't able to tip him (big no-no I'm aware). I understand that tips are a part of the business and that things sometimes cost more BUT...it was a LOT more. Unfortunately I was too shocked in the moment to explain my plans to make up for it on the other end.

I decided  to save up and tip when I went in to have the piece touched up. However, when I showed up a couple months later to have the touch up done, he'd double booked himself during my time, was terse with me and after taking a look, told me that he didn't feel the piece needed to be touched up and sent me on my way. I have no doubt that the guy didn't want me in his chair because I hadn't been able to tip due to the surprise extra $150 I paid the last time.

It's a great shop that I'm glad to have in my neighborhood. Unfortunately, it's not a place I feel welcome at anymore.

My girlfriend and I stopped here so she could get a last minute tattoo at the end of our holiday. It's always a bit of a gamble choosing a tattoo shop based off reviews, but Infinity was a clean shop with friendly, talented artists. My girlfriend got sat down right away to do a small piece on her wrist and it looks quite nice a few weeks down the road.

I love being a painted lady. As such, I'm ashamed to admit that I've been a tattoo whore thus far...having some long-term relationships, but really getting around when it comes to getting ink. As with most things when you approach middle age, you'd like to settle down, find that one artist to become your monogamous partner. Like dating, it can be a daunting quest. If the other person is late on your first appointment, or calls 1/2 hour before your "date" to cancel, it can feel disappointing. But you give the benefit of the doubt, reschedule and hope for the best. And that's what I got in the end with Sean Lanusse.

It was not going to be the most creative task, but I needed a forearm tattoo reworked a bit and a quote added to it. But, this initial job was a test to see if we were compatible, because I eventually want complete sleeves. Tattoos are milemarkers on your journey, and I never have had one done frivolously or without careful consideration. Consequently, finding an artist who is professional, meticulous and can bring a vision to life on the skin is significant. Sean was that, the shop, although ridiculously out of my way, is clean and comfortable (and I was told they will be undergoing a remodel very soon to give each artist more space.) It's expensive, but good art always is. It's an investment, it's permanent, and it's deeply personal...so why would you trust some cheap yahoo to carve into your flesh?

Sean's got a steady hand, a good collaborative vibe and a nice disposition. I would recommend him, especially for his vintage style of art and attention to detail. After poking around the portfolios and looking at other artist's drawings in the shop, it seems as though each person has their specialty and style, but they are all very good. Check out the portfolios online and see which one fits.

As for me, I hope this is the beginning of a long and meaningful relationship....

I drive up from Bend for the artists at Infinity.  They shred me for hours and charge me bunches of money - and I still feel like I got the better end of the stick.

The level of talent in this shop is extraordinary and it is a joy to be in their company while they work.  Call them, book now, and save your twenties until you get to sit.

I had my first tattoo done here with Jessica a very simple small design. I had brought a picture of exactly what I wanted but it came out awful... She added things I never agreed to have in the tattoo The lining was off she went to deep and caused the ink to bleed out. I was so overcharged for something that took only 20 mins to get done! She charge me 100 bucks for not even having to draw up her own design! It was described by other tattoo artists I had look at it as "butchered" I had the tattoo covered up as soon as possible since I couldn't stand looking at it!

Sean is a true artist and a professional. He takes your concept, sketches it, and makes it better than you imagined.

Just like with good wine, good food, a good car, you get what you pay for. Infinity is a luxury automobile with a bottle of Opus One in the drink holder on your way to a lobster dinner on the coast in Maine.

Thank you for your attention to detail, Sean.

Well, where do I start. First, I drove an hour each way for a 10 minute consult where I explained what I would like to have done, mostly a cover up. I schedule an appt at 10 am the next week, where I wouldn't even see what was being drawn till the day before?? Ok, no big deal. I get a call asking if I can come in at noon. Ok, I explain again, that I am an hour away and will the tattoo be finished that day. Oh, no problem. I was charged a "daily" rate since it "would cost more to come on 2 separate visits". So, I show up at Noon the first time, the artist was late so I had to wait. And, the tattoo was not completed after 5 hours???? The artist informs me that I will have to come back. Really?? Do you realize I live an hour away and it isn't like I can just bop in anytime? The reason I went to Infinity is I saw so much great work. Ok, so I reschedule and show up at my scheduled appt time...11 am. I didn't get into the chair until 11:30 and the actual ink didn't start till noon. I wanted more added which was ok'd previously by the artist, which did take a half hour. But even so, I didn't SIT DOWN TILL 11:30.  The first visit I paid 400.00, the second 500.00. Really for you being late and taking a lunch break while I sat there at my second visit??? The first time I was in the dude at the counter said do you want to leave a gratuity. Really?? Talk about pressure. Um, for rescheduling my appt and not finishing my tattoo?? I said I would leave one next time...... Well, I wasn't too happy at my first visit or with waiting a half hour on the second visit. So, why would I leave a gratuity after 6 trips and a bill of  $900.00??? The blonde chick at the desk gave me a shitty look, walked over to the artists table and dropped the receipt. Then proceeded to walk to the back of the room and fuck around. Really? NOT ONE WORD FROM HER!! Apparently she didn't like the fact I didn't leave a tip. Well, thanks for making a follow-up appt. for touch ups, which were "included". Oh and thank you for the instructions. Fuck man...I don't want to stand at the counter all day long. How rude. I just walked out. Fuck you Infinity.

Myself and 2 friends all happened to want tattoos so we thought, what the hell lets see if we can schedule one together.  It would be fun and make sense if we could all go into Portland at the same time being we live in Hood River.

So, after doing some research (thanks, Yelp) I called Infinity.  I spoke to their office/assistant guy (who should remain nameless) and told him our situation.  3 tattoos, all basic script, initials, and 1 with Korean characters.  He said, "that will be no problem I'll put you guys in."  Hey thanks, that was easy, wasn't sure if we would get in at the same day, but 1 right after another?? Even better!  He even said no consult needed, just email Rich what we wanted.  Can do!  Thanks man!

Come appointment day.  We get there and Rich is only acknowledging me!  That's weird, cause they have appointments as well, don't they?  No,  they don't??!  WTF?  He didn't know they were scheduled, didn't read their emails...basically they didn't exist until that moment.  I'm annoyed and getting angry....

BUUUUTTTTTT wait.....Rich made it happen and it all worked out in the end.  Just a little bit of a cluster fuck and some confusion when we got there.  I feel like the assistant kid messed that one up.  I was tempted to dock a star because of the little mishap, but I just couldn't because the important part (the actual tattoo) was great! We were all very happy with the results.  It was quick and painless (got it on my forearm) and for my 1st tattoo, that's exactly what I was hoping for.   $100 bones for about 15 minutes of work.  That was actually the most painful part..but oh well, it's something that will be with me forever.

I was referred to La Karina from a friend of my husband.  Well, she was awesome!!  First off, the shop is very cool.  I love the feeling in it.  It was clean, inviting, and felt warm.  It was not at all like the feeling of going into the Sea Tramp (even thou they do awesome tats too).
I was nervous.  I had never got a "bigger" tattoo.  I have two previous tattoos done at the sea tramp.  They are tiny.  But I'm now 30, and don't care about what others think about me as much as I use too.  : D
So, I wanted to finally start getting some bigger tattoo's and illustrate my body!
Well, she did great!  Karina was friendly, open, intent on getting the tattoo exactly how you pictured it, and very respectful.
I got a vintage looking deer on my back.  It took about an hour and a half.  When she finished i looked in the mirror and just wanted to jump up and down.  It turned out just how I imagined.
I have gotten so many comments on it.  The first thing people ask me is "Where/who did your tattoo?"!!!
    A true talent she is.
    I will definitely go back!!!

    Love this place!

Last winter, I finally decided to take the plunge and get my first tattoo. I did quite a bit of research on tattoo shops in Portland and decided to visit Infinity where I met Rich. After some discussion about what I was looking for, he designed my tattoos--wings on each ankle. The art was simple, yet lovely, and just what I was looking for. I get compliments on them all the time. To top it off, Rich was friendly and professional and made me feel at ease about the whole process.

In fact, my experience with him was so great that I went back again the other day to get another tattoo. Again, it turned out beautifully, and I couldn't be happier. Plus, he was kind enough to touch up my wings where I had scratched the ink a bit, for no extra charge.

It will probably be awhile before I decide to get another tattoo, but I will definitely be recommending Infinity (which is super clean and full of lots of other friendly people, by the way) and Rich to all of my friends!

I've had this gift certificate burning a hole in my pocket since Christmas. ( I have the perfect boyfriend!) I finally got it together and dropped in to schedule a tattoo appointment. When I dropped in, the guy I talked to recommended I have my friend work up a sketch for me and bring it back in to be sure I was matched up with the tattoo artist that would best suit the style. (Great advice.)I did this, made the appointment with Karina and came in. I have two old tattoos that just need a little love - some embellishment, more color, etc. I had the design my artist friend made for one of them, and an idea for the other one that my friend and I had been working on for a few hours and couldn't figure out. Karina took our ideas and had a perfect design for me in about 15 minutes. I have heard good things about Infinity for years, but I feel lucky to have had the chance to work with Karina, as she has only been in Portland for one month! I'll definitely be going back. Not only was Karina great, but the place was clean, open and inviting, the people are so friendly, there's a great positive vibe and I felt like I could hang out there all day. I can't believe I waited so long to get more work done, but I'm glad I did - it ended up many more times better than I imagined it would. AND, you get what you pay for with no lollygagging around - great work, high value. beautiful!

I just want to note that I got mine done in the spring of '10, but didn't realize that I hadn't posted this review until I went on Yelp again to do my second tattoo. I'm working to see if Alice will do my second one, but last time I called she had a long waiting list (must be a popular lady :D).

I got my first ever tattoo here from Alice, who was able to fit me in on quite a short notice. Everyone there was great, and the establishment was impeccable. And to everyone here at Yelp, thanks for giving this place such good reviews; I probably would have gone somewhere else if you all hadn't been so stoked about this place.

To date all of my ink has been done at Infinity. Paul Zenk has done three for me, and  Sean Lanusse did my last one on my back. I have more that I want these guys to do. You will pay a bit more per hour than other shops around town but it's worth it for the quality they give you. Come on, you have to live with it.

The peeps that work there are down to earth and totally cool. I would invite them all over for Thanksgiving.

Arrogant artist, terrible customer service and bad work. My tat looks terrible had scabs for over 14 weeks. When i went for my touch up the "artist" said it looked good and refused to do it. Forget appointments, even if you have one they sometimes turn you away if they're behind. I drove 30 mins to get there and had them turn me away TWICE even with an "appointment" . . . Go somewhere else, it will look better and be a better experience.

This place costs extra, because it's worth it. REALLY worth it. I got a tattoo done by Sean Lanusse, and it's amazing. His shading job was delicate and extraordinary (and I only say that because I can't come up with the adjectives to give him even higher praise.) It was exactly what I talked to him about/showed him.

    Here's what I got done:
    <a href="/redir?url=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.facebook.com%2Fphoto.php%3Fpid%3D42350227%26l%3D8e0162aa43%26id%3D17223555&s=4af9158407dc9353c027f42397bd0ae6614aed924bbbedecf2080ec75fe382d6" target="_blank" rel="nofollow">http://www.facebook.com/…</a>

It's about half a year later, and it's still looking great. I've spent enough hours under the needle getting custom work to know that this is of great quality. I'll come back to Infinity every time.

I first decided to get a tattoo over three years ago, and finally settled on a design and placement about a year later. My first tattoo, which I got on my 21st birthday (over two years ago now) was an anchor on my left forearm, mirroring my grandfather's old-school military ink. I made an appointment with Miss Mikki and went in, alone and apprehensive, to finally get inked. Mikki was extremely encouraging and friendly and made my terrified, tattoo virgin self feel welcome and comfortable. She came up with a simple, lovely old-fashioned design and executed it quickly and skillfully. I thought I had told her that I only wanted an outline, but I was surprised to find that she had shaded the design - and I loved it! Over two years later, the ink still looks brand new and I get compliments on it near daily.

This past July, I went back to Infinity for another tattoo, a small Hindu phrase on my ankle. (I know that Infinity is primarily a collaborative studio, but there was no one else I wanted to trust with the job.) I made an appointment with Sean W and brought a friend. This experience was the opposite of my first tattoo session. Sean seemed almost offended that I brought a friend and near insulted that I wanted something so small and simple and not collaborative. He was quick, and the work nearly painless, but in the end he charged me $100 for 15 minutes of work. I know Infinity is quality and you get what you pay for, but this was just excessive. As much as I loved my first tattoo and the experience of it, I was rather disappointed with the quality and attitude of the second visit.

Being easily addicted to anything I love, and loving pretty much anything that doesn't make me swear (in a bad way, as opposed to really good emphatic happy swearing), I made myself wait 20 years after wanting my first tattoo to actually get my first tattoo. And now I know that I was right, because had I gotten my first tattoo at 15, and had Infinity Tattoo been around then? I would be totally covered. I'm in love, and I'm addicted. Just like that.

I love the beautiful artwork that I have the pleasure of living with forever, I loved the experience, I felt so comfortable and relaxed in the beautiful space, and I will most definitely be back here for my second tattoo. Thanks for an amazing experience!

I often choose tattoos based on deep connection that i have between a piece of art.  While I may be projecting, I felt that my tattoo experience was made even more special because I genuinely believed that Alice connected and saw what I saw in my artwork as well.  She really took the time to look into the artwork to see what I found special about it, and much on my part didn't even have to be said.

I was very moved by the whole experience at Infinity -- not only by everyone's generosity to myself and to others, but because of the understanding I knew Alice had to the artwork.  I feel like any tattoo artist who takes the time to understand your artwork makes it not only that much more alive, but that much more special to you.  I could see just by her rendering, the thought she had taken to interpret the art I had brought in.

Thanks for everything, everyone at Infinity!  I really don't have words, but will always think of this tattoo as probably not only my most beautiful tattoo, but my most meaningful.  It takes a special shop to do this.  I cannot express how much I look forward to further tattoo appointments here.

Last, but not least, the see-through saran wrap bandage was a great last touch.  It probably did save me from ripping off the bandage early.

It's tough to write a review of your first anything. It's not just the novelty or the lack of familiarity with the thing. It's the fact that most firsts, from first kisses to first children, stir up all sorts of emotional responses, but rarely do they provoke the one known as objective. Fortunately, this is not a review of my first baby-having since that hasn't transpired, much to the joy of all Portland bartenders. All the same, despite no rugrat to my name yet, I'm still in love with my first here. In this instance, it's my first tattoo. Maybe I'd feel that way regardless of the place where I got the tattoo, but I'm sure it helped that the experience happened at Infinity Tattoo.

I've been present when other people have gotten tattooed, but those experiences were long ago enough and too varied in time and place to compare them fairly. So I went into Infinity with no expectations and with as much of the legwork done that I could do on my end. I displayed a printed copy of the words I wanted, negotiated an appointment time with Sean, and quietly bid adieu to the blankness of my left shoulder. Sean explained that my tattoo is small and relatively easy to finish, which helped me book a date less than a month in advance. It's different depending on the artist you hope to work on you and the kind of work you have in mind, I'm told. The afternoon of the deed, I blasted 80s music out of the car stereo on the way to St. Johns. I responded to a friend's text inquiry, "So are you excited?" with "Define excited." I had planned to take a shot of whiskey before heading into the appointment, but abstained due to the whole blood-clotting-when-you-drink-plus-nobody-likes-lushy-breath issue.

Turns out, whiskey wasn't necessary. Sean presided over the whole session with an ease that comes from experience working with all forms of freaks. The studio was full of natural light as he cracked wise, kindly pointing out when my nerves made me think that the city of Omaha is located in Oklahoma (where Sean's originally from), and allowed The Ter to sit nearby. All my questions, whether they were about the pain or about where to get some good friggin' Thai food in the neighborhood, were met receptively. And not quite thirty minutes after I took a seat, I left with something that I'd never had before and would never be without. Sean gave clear instructions on how to care for the new addition to my body. Over a week later, I'm still at the point when I can't look at my reflection without a "Heeeeeeey!" Sean and Infinity deserve all the praise they've received in the Yelp world and in the Portland community at large. Maybe that's not the most objective assessment, but when you're discussing tattoos, you're talking about something that is the opposite of detached.

I often suffer buyer's remorse. That car I bought? Should have gotten an all-wheel drive. My first house? Should have waited until housing prices went down a little more. That tuna sandwich? Maybe I would've been happier with the fish and chips.

I am happy to say that I am perfectly ecstatic with my latest tattoo from Infinity. As an art director I'm picky-picky-picky, and Alice worked with me to fine-tune an idea I had into a brilliant one-of-a-kind piece of art. I'm already booked for another larger piece with Alice in a couple months. She books WAY in advance (think 5-6 months), which actually works with my remorseful tendencies just fine.

Where do I start with this place? I had called on a saturday morning about a tattoo idea I have had for months. Asked if there was any way I could get in on that day, because well...I wanted a tattoo on 01/02/2010...it's the same number forwards and in reverse...ANYWAY, called and the receptionist(forgot her name) said she would give me a call if they had any openings. Thus I began a rabid search for other places to get into; I had found an available artist at another parlor but wasn't sold on his portfolio online and cancelled. BUT THEN!! I got a call from Infinity and was told that Rich Cuellar would be available at 2. So 2 o'clock it was!!

I went in with some scripts that I had found online but was told that they were too small. So Rich worked his magic and found me some AMAZING fonts to choose from and helped me cut down my quote so that it could fit on my inner bicep. Rich's craft is impeccable. He's fast, but efficient and I have nothing but praises for this man!! And I never felt out of place here. I have had some bad experiences with the holier than thou mentality, just because I wasn't covered with ink. This being my first tattoo, I was definitely up for that. But the environment is chill. Props to the family at Infinity, I'll be going back if I ever decide on another tattoo!

    Disappointed.
First phone call: I called on a Sunday two a half weeks ago close to closing.  They didn't answer.  I left my name and number.
Second phone call:  Someone answered.  I was told that the receptionist was out of town but would be coming back tomorrow and that she would call me back.  Left my name and number again.  I waited a few days and got no phone call back.
Third phone call:  I called on a Sunday afternoon.  Was told that the receptionist only works Tuesday through Saturday.  This time I was not asked my name and number.
Fourth phone call:  Called on a Tuesday or Wednesday afternoon.  Someone answered, but not the receptionist, was told to leave my name and number.
It's been over two weeks since my first phone call.  I'm going somewhere else.

This review is for Alice Kendall along with the entire staff who deserve five stars as well. If you are searching for a friendly, welcoming, clean, non-pretentious atmosphere, Infinity Tattoo is that perfect shop. I always knew I wanted to get a tattoo and always had my design in mind; however, I spent a long time searching for the right artist. After I found the website for Infinity Tattoo and rummaged through the online portfolio, I knew immediately that this tattoo shop was everything I was looking for and more. I booked my appointment two years in advance and just got home last night from Portland. I live in Chico, California, and was concerned that discussing my tattoo via email would be not only over-complicate things, but that I would not be able to get my ideas across with the precision necessary to perfect the image in my mind. Alice was very responsive to my emails and took all of my ideas and images beyond anything I ever imagined. She sent me countless sketches along with her own thoughts on color and placement. She also had me come in early to talk in person about everything. After a fourteen-hour train ride for my first tattoo, I became very nervous. I am a perfectionist and have a tendency to be pessimistic; however, upon entering the shop, all of my fears and negative thoughts vanished. I was greeted with a welcoming smile and a very tastefully designed shop. My tattoo ended up lasting a total of 8 hours. What I appreciated most was the fact that Alice was a perfectionist like myself. She not only made this experience the best eight hours of my life, but she used her artist's sixth sense to make my idea exceed anything I could have ever thought possible with my design. She had a very soft touch and made my 8-hour experience almost painless. I will recommend Alice and this shop to anyone looking to get a serious work of art on their body. I feel blessed to have had the opportunity to work with them.

I have had the pleasure of getting two tattoos by Ms. Mikki.  She is as sweet as she is talented. Her work is meticulous and her spirit uplifting.  I can't wait to get my next piece from her.  Thanks Mikki!!!

There are very few people in the world who can convince me to drop trou in front of them after having known them for all of ten minutes or so. So far the list includes a Utilikilt sales rep, a very special piercer, and Sean at Infinity.

I walked in a couple of weeks ago with a rather large text piece that I wanted to have done, but very few convictions in terms of details. Last night I arrived at 5:30 for my appointment and spent the next 45 minutes working on the exact font, spacing, and placement. Sean was great about making my text piece unique and making sure that the placement worked with my body -- the placement that meant me standing in the middle of the (incredibly beautifully decorated) shop with one butt cheek hanging out and a less-than-appropriate angling of my jeans over my pelvis.

Three hours of pain and ass-baring later, I'm absolutely ecstatic with my piece and thankful to the staff who didn't bat an eye when I walked past them half-naked from the waist down in order to examine the placement in their full-length mirror.

Oh, and these people are actually nice! Not once did I feel like an idiot, as I have in many other shops (and social situations.. personal situations.. job interviews.. you name it). Professional, clean, beautiful space and fantastic artists. Make sure you check out the portfolios for all the artists - there's some mind-blowing work in there. I know where I'll be heading for my elusive half sleeve (although I hear they're booked out 8+ months in advance).

There are moments in one's life where you're forced to just sit there and think, "How did I arrive here?"

I had one of those moments a few years back when I was at Planned Parenthood filling out an intake form about my history and there was a question that asked something to the effect of, "Have you received a tattoo that was not in a shop?" And I had to circle "Yes." (A friend, an amazing stencil artist with a tattoo machine, in a kitchen. In return, I got him a #2 combo off the McDonald's menu.) Locale aside, the dining room tattoo wasn't so bad, but it did need to be touched up and that's when I went to see Amanda for the first time when their studio used to be in a converted garage space.

I've admired the portfolios of the artists at Infinity every since then. Tyler gave me an awesome tattoo in Feb 2008 and I got another one from Amanda on August 2009 (I've got 7 tattoos in all). I trust this shop and it's the only place I'll go to in Portland. Uber-talented, super clean shop and awesomely professional.

This is also a great shop to go to if you want some beautiful, naturalistic pieces. If you'll look through Amanda's portfolio, you'll see flora and fauna rendered gorgeously. In addition, Tyler's got a great eye for detail and precision. I haven't had the pleasure of having other artists at the shop tattoo me, but just based on the reputation of the work done by Amanda and Tyler, I'd trust any of them.

(Also conveniently located off the 75 bus line and a few blocks away from a Goodwill for post-tattooing thrifting.)

I have been here several times and have all my major pieces done by Paul Zenk at this shop. I couldn't go anywhere else, period. Paul is an incredible artist who makes me feel so comfortable. I would trust him to tattoo my mom or anyone else I know.

Infinity rocks my face off. If you get a tattoo in Portland and don't go here your missing out on an experience.

Do you know what it's like to live with a grammatically incorrect German quote on your forearm for five years?  Well I certainly do, and when it was finally time for that sucker to go the way of the dodo I wanted to make sure the cover up was super fantastic.  I went to Rich at Infinity based on a recommendation and I couldn't be more pleased with the results.  After years of trying to decide what I wanted, when I finally consulted with Rich I still had only the vaguest idea of what I wanted ("something floral perhaps"?)  Rich had some great suggestions and and the results totally surpassed my expectations!  Throughout the tattooing process he was very calm, helpful and considerate and I think he did fantastic work.  He is a true professional and helped make my tattoo nightmare a dream come true.

Great work, fantastic staff, happy  brother-in-law priceless!  You guys totally hooked up my Bro and he is so happy!  First tattoo for him and he lives in Virginia.  He was out to PDX for a break with the family and decided that it was time to get the best tattoo ever...good thing Infinity was close by!  They fit him into a booked schedule and gave him the coolest tattoo ever.  Thanks for making his trip memorable!  If you are looking for an overall great experience you would be dumb to not at least stop by Infinity Tattoo and see for yourself.

If you search for tattoo shops in Portland, you'll almost certainly get Infinity as your results in at least the first two or three listings. It gets incredibly high marks, rave reviews, and glowing recommendations. This is all well deserved.

Immaculately kept, very clean yet inviting, Infinity does both walk-ins and scheduled appointments, though don't hedge your bets on a walk-in anytime during the weekend; they're usually always booked. I got my first tattoo here a while back on a summer night with a friend. Aaron was our tattoo artist, and he was awesome.

He helped us figure out what we wanted and tweak our ideas so they were just perfect for us. When I was unsure about mine, he even suggested that I go home for a night, think about it, and then come back. This was super reassuring; I didn't feel at all like he wanted me to get inked just so he could get paid, which wouldn't be a great feeling to have upon getting ones first tattoo.

They're a little on the expensive side; I paid more here for one word on my back that took five minutes than I did for two tattoos on my ankles that took an hour. It's worth it, though. You're getting experienced artists who are talented, clean, and meticulous in their work. I almost feel bad for their locale; since it's so near to the University of Portland, they probably get an absurd amount of first (and only) time tattoo receivers, getting the requisite tiny heart on the hip or Chinese symbol on the lower back. But they do other great work, too. I give this place a shining recommendation for anyone wanting a tattoo of any scope or size.

You guys rock and I will be back shortly!

My first ink experience was artfully mastered by Alice at Infinity 7 years ago. She did a marvelous job other then it's regretful location.
Ahhhhh yes I sadly have a tramp stamp but they can't be to blame. The color and detail have remained intact. I will be back soon to cover up my foot topper mistake I did on a whim somewhere else. I have learned my lesson and will not deviate again!

When I was researching which artist to go to for my last tattoo, I was determined to find someone who was capable of the intense line work my tattoo would call for, and also - I needed to find someone I could feel good about spending the time with. I visited shops, and researched local portfolios, and fell in love with Paul Zenk's work.
When I met him in person, he was not only friendly and helpful, but also confidant in his ability, and enthusiastic about the artwork I showed him. That's so important!

I recommend Paul to every person that sees my last tattoo and admires how straight the lines are. I'm a big believer in recommending tattoo artists based on the style of work they are most adept at - and at Infinity, the people are wonderful, and there's a little something for everyone!

    Infinity Tattoo has my heart.

On July 05, 2008 I sat for eight hours getting a floral silhouette with a very talented individual named Tyler. I had done a lot of research and actually chose Infinity over another well known shop for a couple of reasons....

    1) The shop has great lighting, cool art, and light colors (unlike many shops that seem to rely on the stereotypical black/red color scheme),

    2) their ability to utilize technology (evident in the front entry where you can view portfolios or in my case, the ability to see my design imposed on a photo of my back which allowed me to inform the artist in terms of scale and positioning of a very symmetrical design),

    3) an overall positive and humble attitude (they're talented artists and their work speaks for them...yay for not having to deal with inflated ego!!!), and finally...

    4) their attentiveness to detail and appreciation for the art.

I will be returning soon and defininitely recommend this place to anyone interested in tattooing.

As a newbie to the tattoo world, I did a lot of research on places in Portland - walking out of a few with a bit of fear or disappointment. Traci at Infinity won the job of drawing a beautiful tree on my lower leg. The place was very clean and light, and Traci was very relaxed. She did a great job. I get tons of compliments on my tat and gladly recommend Infinity to others.

I had originally gone to them back in February to get a birthday piece for myself, but found they were booked months in advance.  D'oh!  But I suppose, with good reason, the work they do over there at Infinity is awesome!

I had a sleeve tattoo that desperately needed some touching up and some new life.  I moved up to Oregon before the finishing touches were put on.  I chose Ms. Mikki based on some of the stuff I'd seen from some yelpers, she has an amazing sense of style and I loved the work I had seen.

She has an ultra soft touch, works pretty fast, and is extremely professional.  I have done 6 hours with her so far, probably with another three to go, but she has brought my dull tattoo to life.

The shop itself is super clean and everyone there is really friendly.  I found that their rates were pretty comparable with other shops in the area.

I started my research for a good tattoo shop by checking Yelp. The reviews for Infinity were impressive, so I checked out their web site. I was wanting something organic and natural, like vines crawling up my arm, and I was pretty excited by Traci Manning's portfolio. Getting an appointment was easy and the consultation was good. I felt like she 'got' what I was imagining and when I went back later, her design was so great, I was super excited.

In a nutshell, I LOVE my tattoo and get lots of compliments and people wanting to know who did it.

My experience during the tattooing was really good. Traci has excellent bedside manners, so to speak. She was attentive to my pain tolerance and did helpful things to help me get through the tough moments.

    Highly recommended.

When I die, skin me and frame this damn artwork!

Ms. Mikki is a visionary.  She turned the crazy and overwhelming ideas in my head into the most beautiful back piece I have seen.  The best part... it didn't look anything like what I was picturing, and yet I fell totally in love at first glance at a sketch.

The shop is clean, beautiful to behold, and modern.  The walls are covered with unique art work and the only flash on display is a collection of classic collectibles.  Not somewhere you are going to stumble into, point at something, and declare with a drunken slur "I'll have that one."

Ms. Mikki is professional, talented, experienced, and genuinely cares about her clients.  You can tell she loves what she does by the intense cock of a head while examining the work in progress combined with a heartfelt giggle describing the parts of a design she just loves.  Over the course of a five hour (sometimes painful - anyone who says tattoos don't hurt is a lying bastard) sitting; I still managed to practically doze off under her gentle ministrations.

I can't wait for my next sitting!

Ms. Mikki - who tattoos here-- is the best!  Her touch is delicate and her work is amazing.  She's super clean and professional and doesn't fuck around.  She moved to oregon from a tattoo shop in SF, Ca where i met her...
She took my ideas and images I wanted on my sleeve and created something that I am amazed by every day.  Her floral work is incredible and her ability to bring life and color into a tattoo is priceless.   i have been tattooed by other artists, but  Mikki has my trust and complete confidence.
In the ever growing and trendy tattoo industry that is being flooded by new aspiring tattooers who don't yet know shit from shampoo,   Mikki's 20+ years of ever-evolving experience and skill shine through.  I live in Oakland, ca-- but I will continue to make the trip up to get worked on by Ms. Mikki. she never disappoints. xo check out <a href="/redir?url=http%3A%2F%2Fprettycorpse.com&s=eef5d3ae8b99b36a157ff891ac767b036fdc5d4dd4ade7c15aa2dc2d832c07da" target="_blank" rel="nofollow">http://prettycorpse.com</a>

I just had my first tattoo done by Alice Kendall and it is AMAZING.  Not only is the tattoo incredibly beautiful and making all my tattooed and non-tattooed friends want appointments, but my experience at the shop was relaxing (as relaxing as 6-1/2 hrs of tattooing can be, I promise!), friendly as well as clean and professional.  All the inks are mineral based and the artistry of my piece is truly stunning.  If you want an incredible tattoo and great experience, call today - but be prepared to wait several months until you can actually get an appointment!

So far I have gotten an armband from Paul Zenk, a Stingray on my calf and a turtle on my arm from Aaron Goodrich and a ring finger tattoo from Mikal Gilmore. My wife has also gotten three from Mikal, and we both plan on many more. They are true artists and can transform your ideas into body art. I would definately recommend them to anyone. Check out their website and look at the portfolios so you can get an Idea of what you can expect. Then call em for an appointment or consultation. You won't regret it.
April 6, 2008 I got my new Brian The Bull Hookah tattoo on my chest yesterday. I am really pleased with the way Aaron worked it out ..... The placement was perfect....a few minor "tweaks"(pardon the pun) and it will be great!!!
The comraderie of the shop is amazing they bounce ideas off eachother and have a great time...

After pondering my new ink for the last 3 years, I finally committed to Mikal at Infinity. She's a new kid on the block at the shop, but she's no newbie to the trade, having worked with some of the best in San Francisco.

Mikal took my ideas and did them one better. Very friendly, down to earth, and easy to work with but more importantly, a true artist. She was willing to work with me to get the design exactly right and her execution was flawless.

Its no good if your artist gives you a great tat and then your leg falls off from flesh eating bacteria, so cleanliness is super important. Infinity is one of the cleanest shops I've ever seen, and the artists are incredibly careful to follow precautions. I felt quite safe.

Nothing at all to complain about here. Some of the artists are booked months in advance, but what's awhile to wait to get the best ink of your life?

I got a medium size piece on my back from Alice at Infinity, amazing! She took my idea and created such a beautiful translation. I could not have asked for anything better. Their website features all the artists with respective portfolios, all of whose work is creative and unique. Definately not cheap, and call way ahead to book with your artist. It is so worth the wait and price. You will wear your tattoo with pride!

While I can't speak from personal experience, I can say that I have seen the final product of some of the work produced at Infinity and it is beautiful. I'm a loyal customer of Atlas Tattoo (see my review), but I have many close friends who represent Infinity Tattoo just as passionately.

Classically trained artists first, the artists at Infinity create fine art on a skin canvas. Visit their website to see some work in the various artists portfolios.

Custom and beautiful, you may just prefer an artist's style or the ambiance.

Ain't no harm in forming your own opinion. Getting a tattoo is a big decision. You shop around for cars, you better shop around for a tattoo studio and artist or you should just give up now and drive your car into the Willamette, sucka.
