I have gotten over 20 tattoos from Nelson and he is the business in Sacramento for tattooing. Â I enjoy the fact that his studio is small and inviting and you dont have to deal with a shop atmosphere which can often times be annoying to say the least. Â I dont know too much about the going rate for tattooing but i have always felt that Nelson's prices are down right awesome considering he is putting art on your body for life. Â Another thing that impresses about Nelson is that he can tattoo many different styles at a high level. Â For example he has done script, traditional, and a portrait on my tattoo work and they are all equaly impressive. Â A leg piece he did won best of show at the Forever Tattoo festival a few years back and that was cool. Â So if you want to get a tattoo from an award winning artist for a good price in an inviting environment call Nelson and tell him Little Mark sent you...you might just get the bro deal!

My boyfriend and I just got tattooed by him a few days ago and it was an awesome experience. The shop is very clean and he really puts you at ease. So much better then going to some run of the mill tattoo parlor because you know you'll get the same great artist every time. Can't wait to go back!

Our whole experieance was fantastic. I am a well seasoned grandma who went with
my oldest grand daughter to get matching tattoo's. Â My first. one. We are both extremely happy with the professional job at the most sanitary shop. Nelson is the Best. He made us feel very comfortable and didn't rush us. Next week my second oldest grand daughter is getting her first tattoo now that she is 18. Â He does private settings by appointment only and his work is Perfection.
I just moved to this area and was looking for a new tattoo artist. I came across Ink Bottle on Yelp, looked at his work, and decided to check him out. He is by appointment only, no walk-ins. I went in for a consulation and told him what I wanted and he took a deposit and drew it up. I went in for my appointment and his drawing was not how I imagined it in my head, but it was awesome. The tattoo turned out amazing and I will definitely be sticking to Nelson for my future tattoos. He' extremely personable, easy-going, and makes you feel totally comfortable. I can't say enough good things about him and his shop. He's totally professional and very talented. His work is definitely the cat's pajamas! Highly recommended.

Review Source:Nelson is my girlfriend and my tattoo artist. We always get the best service and he is a great artist. With very reasonable rates my lady and I are working on sleeves and ankle work. The location is private because he doesn't share the space with anyone else, so you aren't worried about body parts hanging out for a shop full of people to see. I first went to him because I saw a very lifelike Frankenstein on my friends leg and was really impressed, he sent me Nelson's way.
He's great with may different styles from realistic portraits, abstract, fine art, and traditional. Nelson has taken some of my stupid ideas and made them into beautiful pieces of art that I will proudly wear forever.
Its not just his talent that makes coming to Ink Bottle a great experience, its Nelson himself. He's a super friendly and humble guy. Its easy to spend hours just shootin the shit while getting tattooed by him!
This space is comfortable and private as well, there aren't people coming in and bothering the artist while you are getting work done.
I have gotten tons of compliments on the work I have gotten from Nelson and I proudly send everyone his way. Highly recommend going to Ink Bottle for your next/first tattoo
I have many tattoos but my favorite and most beautiful is the tattoo that I got from Nelson at Ink Bottle. The piece is exactly what I was looking for. I had a large piece on my side, it is the Eiffel Tower and a Pinup girl with a flower. The Tower had intricate line work and he did it perfectly. Â I asked to have broken into three different sessions and Nelson fully supported that. He has a soft touch as far as getting a tattoo goes, and I will continue to go to him exclusively for all my future tattoos. I felt completely safe and comfortable in his chair and would suggest everyone to go see him if you are looking for a great tattoo artist.

I was definitely a little bit of a tattoo artist whore before, jumping around to different artists throughout Sacramento, but I have finally found one that I actually enjoy the company of and most importantly he is an AMAZING artist. He does not just have "his" style either, he is open minded and has totally worked with me on my ideas. The studio is extremely clean and abides by all the state laws they have recently enforced. I just had a piece done by him last night of my dog (I have posted on here under his pictures) and I am already looking forward to my next!!

Not only is Nelson is class A kind of guy, but he is hands down the BEST tattoo artist I have ever come across. His color work is untouchable, and his light hand makes it easy to sit for hours and hours under his needle. He is personable and genuinely interested in connecting with his clients in a way that makes every sitting feel very comfortable. I have several pieces from him, and I get complimented constantly on how vibrant and clean the work is. My only worry is that he will leave Sacramento, because I never want to get tattoo work from anyone but him again.

He came up with a great tattoo when i gave him my ideas. He put them all together very well. His color and shading is amazing. His studio is private so you don't have to deal with a lot of other artists working at the same time. It's a very personal experience. Â I have about 15 hours under his gun and all the other artists weren't at his caliber. Â The private shop environment, his unique art, and his attention to detail are all part of the package. Â I travel from the east bay (about a 2 hour drive) to get work from him. Â You won't be disappointed! (unless you try and book him on short notice, his schedule can fill up fast!)
