This place is by far the coolest tattoo parlor I've ever seen! It has a retro/Polynesian theme to it, and the artists are top notch. (I recommend Josh 'Kreeps' Cabrera, but you really can't go wrong here!) And, after you get your new ink, be sure to have a cold one at their bar that's right next door (attached, called 5 Points Lounge) you will NOT regret checking this place out!
Review Source:Sooo.. Two Irish girls walk into a tattoo parlor... One being a tattoo virgin. They strike up a fun convo with the artists. And after a few revisions (we're picky), a masterpiece was born.
Jaksin and Adam were patient, funny, and absolutely boss. We are already planning our next trip back to Ft. Lauderdale. Kreepy Tiki may or may not have had something to do with this... Also, our compliments to Jose, the skull... We miss you already.
Kreepy Tiki...
I'm not even getting a tattoo (right now) and still I can't think of a better spot to hang out.
This place has it all! An old school Vegas, Rat Pack, Gangster, Rockabilly inspired shop. A polynesian styled lounge thats perfect for any occasion. A 50's couture clothing shop. Top quality inking, and a staff you can't help but love.
If you aren't getting ink just stop in for a drink at the adjacent lounge and prepare to spend some time (and a little dime) with the closest friends you've never met.
Kreepy Tiki has it all...
I don't have any tattoos or ink on my hide and I don't want either, but if I did, this where I'd go to get one.
Lounging around in Lauderdale biker bars, roaming the beaches and the streets of Lauderdale I get to see plenty of inked skin; everything from the womanly backside now out of fashion tramp stamp, the tribal arm, leg or shoulder décor, the Harley emblem, the skulls, snakes and dragons, the belly button stars, right on own to what is now because of age, the malformed skirt raised lady sported by a few of the surviving old time Navy sailors of WWII vintage.
Amongst them, I've seen some horrid examples, generally the atrocious but laughable misspelling or misuse of a word such as under a depiction of a girl the words "My deerest," or much, much worse when the tattoo artist doesn't know a "pea" from a "pee" and somehow tattoos her as being his "Sweet Pee." Great grief! Having to sport something like that piece of idiocy for the rest of my life wouldn't be fun.
However, to the point of this review, I've had the good opportunity to observe both the tattoo art work and the tattooing process at Kreepy Tiki Tattoos and it is the best, cleanest, most clearly defined and well done that I've seen anywhere. True, I have no personal experience at it, but I do know what I see and what I have seen has really been top notch. It's not only that, but in observing the various tattoo artists here, I've noted their friendliness, their good approach to their customers and the pride they take in their works.
I went to this tattoo parlor based on the photos they had posted on Facebook and on there site. They do all types of tattoos but i particularly liked there traditional american style tattoos. So I went to the shop and was able to get work done the same day by the shop owner (Kreepy Jaksin). He was very knowledgable, friendly, well educated in traditional american style tattoos. The customer service in this parlor was beyond great, i would give six stars if possible. Not only Jaksin but everyone else in this shop made the experience great and at no point did i feel pressured to get anything done, he just wanted to make sure i got what i wanted. I will be back for some more traditional tattoos.
Review Source:My cousin and I were driving along the road when we saw a big painting of the Sailor Jerry's logo painted outside and figured it was worth a looksie since both of us were in the market for tattoos. Â We walked in and WOW...jaws dropped and hearts fluttered. Â It is clear that a lot of time, thought and effort have gone in to the creation of this space. Â It is quite the eclectic blend of everything awesome...part Tattoo Studio/Rockabilly Boutique/Pinup Art Gallery/Music Venue and Bar/Barber Shop. Â Instantly I knew that I wanted to support this kind of business!
A week later, my husband and I went in to get ring finger tattoos. Â They were done at the same time (in a nauseatingly cute fashion!) by Marco and Sergio. Â Simple, yet absolutely perfect for what we wanted! Â The studio was very clean and professional. Â Considering our tattoos were so simple, I can't (by experience) vouch for their work; however, our artists, along with several other who work there, have portfolio books filled with some beautiful work (some of the best I have seen in southern FL!)! Â My husband is a travelling private engineer and the nature of his industry keeps him in Fort Lauderdale very often, while I live on the West Coast. Â With all the visiting I do, I will certainly be back to get a few pieces done in the future! Â My cousin is going back in the next couple of months to get a cover up with a large Octopus swimming around the top of her foot and possibly ankle. Â I will be sure to leave additional feedback!
