I love this shop! They are definitely clean and professional, and their artists are all talented: Jackson, Steve, Jason, Lucky, Shrek and all have different styles and specialties making the shop a good place to go for most of anything. Â They are all down to earth and there's no elitist or too cool feeling that some shops have.
Review Source:I followed my artist here (Jason) because he is the best! I've also had work done by Shrek (a portrait). Their work and the work of all the artists is PHENOMENAL! I get stopped all the time and asked where I got my work done.
The shop is immaculate and the artists are great - reasonable prices too.
Right off the bat, this is one of the cleanest tattoo salons I've ever been in. Â And that's one of the most important things when someone is going to be putting a needle to your skin. Â The decor in here is awesome too, especially the couch in front.
My boyfriend was tattooed by Lucky. Â Not only is he extremely talented at what he does, he is also very professional. Â Everyone here seems that way in fact. Â Yes, there is personal banter back and forth between artists, but to me that's the vibe of a tattoo salon and I'm a fan. Â If you want to hear strictly PC chit chat, you're in the wrong place. Â That being said, none of the artists in here said anything that would make my mom blush. Â Then again, my mom is rad and isn't easily offended.
My boyfriend's tattoo has healed well and looks incredible! Â I am looking forward to having work done here and my bf definitely plans on returning to Lucky for more! Â I highly recommend people check out this shop and each artists' style- fantastic art going on in here!
Went in to get my nipples pierced, I had them done by Bobby Sox. She measured me out and pierced me. I hadn't done much research on nipple piercings so I assumed it was done correctly! About a week in they began to swell, the barbell was far too small and was being swallowed. I went in to get a longer barbell, which she replaced with a smaller tongue ring because she didn't have a longer barbell. Upon doing more research I found that she pierced my aerola. Â And not my nipple. I'm going to go to another shop and have it checked out. Because at the moment it looks like total shit.

Jason was the artist who did my tattoo and it was absolutely AMAZING! I walked in with just two photos on my phone as an example to go by, but he definitely picked up on every detail I wanted and fit it into my tattoo. My piece covers the upper right part of my back and in full color, I'm surprised he finished it so quickly and beautifully!
The shop itself is really clean. When I called beforehand, the guy who answered was really helpful with all my questions.I was a walk-in and I literally walked out that night with a full piece done! Â The guys are entertaining to listen to as I was being tatt'd. Their humor made it a good experience.
Even though I came in impulsively, I think I've found my permanent tattoo guy/shop :) I'll be coming back for years.
Legacy Tattoo is amazing! I had been wanting to have a tattoo designed to represent my two kiddos for years, and Shrek came up with a design for me that was above and beyond anything I could have dreamed of. He listened to my ideas and gave me his own input without me once feeling pressured to do anything I didn't want to do.
Upon walking into the shop, I immediately noted how clean and inviting it was. It's also in a great area of town. Â As far as the artists go, Shrek himself has a remarkably easygoing and fun way about him that immediately endeared himself to me. Â The other artists were also extremely friendly as well (Jackson, Steve...and I forgot the third's name...sorry!), and made my experience a fun one. Yes, there was some talk about chloroform...but I was PRETTY sure it was lighthearted joking. Hah.
Shrek. Is. Awesome. Oh, and I think he likes cupcakes. ;)
Before I wrote my review, I let Jackson know I was going to review him. He immediately let me know that he would sue me if I lied and slandered him. I believe he was preparing a defense because he knew my honest review would reflect badly on his business. I was not worried as I had always planned to be honest, I wrote my review anyway and was 100% honest. After writing my review Jackson sent me a message claiming that I had lied about the comments him and the other artists had made in front of me, and he threatened legal action if I do not remove my review. I did not lie in my review, I stand by what I said 100%. I suspect that this Yelp page has mostly 5 star reviews because Jackson threatens legal action against many negative comments, but I do not know this for sure. What I do know is that I was 100% honest and not the least bit scared of the lawyer he has assured me will contact me. Please do yourself a favor and go anywhere but Legacy for your next tattoo.

Review Source:I came in back in May on a walk in basis. I wanted to get a tattoo of a note that my mother had written me years ago on my ribs. Steve greeted me when I came in and was very helpful. He drew up my tattoo in twenty minutes and got me back in the chair quickly. The shop is very clean, organized and open. Steve is wonderful!!! He completed my tattoo in two hours, was easy to talk to and made me feel comfortable. I will be coming back to Legacy and to Steve soon for another!!! I would HIGHLY recommend both Legacy and Steve Trevino!

Steve Trevino is such a great artist and for my 18 year old brother's first tattoo, I am so glad I found Legacy Tattoo and got to have Steve create his design. I appreciated his sense of humor, comfort given, and learning about his charity and volunteer work he does in the community with his artwork.
He made it comfortable (I was more nervous than my brother!) and made me want to get my own tattoo...and if I do, I will come back to Legacy and request Steve for sure!
I went to Legacy on my b-day so I could get a tattoo of my daughter's name. The shop is really clean, nice and in a great location. The artist's name that tattooed me is Jean and he's amazing! I LOVE my tattoo and he made it such an awesome experience. I definitely recommend Legacy and Jean to anyone!!

I'm afraid of commitment....tattoo commitment that is. But I got over my fear today and got a simple and cute bow tattoo that I love.
My sister and I walked in and was greeted by Shannon. She listened to what we both wanted and did a quick mock up of what we asked for then took us back to get started. I felt at ease in the shop which was brightly lit and very clean. Lots of art on the wall and a big screen tv on the wall playing South Park....my kinda tattoo shop :)
Shannon was very nice and did a great job on my tattoo as well as my sisters. We both walked out feeling very satisfied and happy. We will forever be bonded by ink and it all started at Legacy Tattoo! :)

my boyfriend decided to get my name on his arm (no, i did NOT point a gun to his head. Â just a really sharp knife at his throat) & we decided to head over to legacy.
the shop has since moved into a bigger location. Â the shop has bright walls & still, tons & tons of flash. Â with jackson's expertise, we were in & out in about an hour & a half. Â it's cool because jackson has a board with sketches of tattoos he's done so you can see what else you might like to get in the future. the tattoo turned out looking crisp & i am thankful for his patience with my crybaby boyfriend who made faces like he was being tortured. Â the inside of your arm is no joke.
jackson is a really genuine, nice guy. Â after my first review about him not being personable (he was more quiet), he even wrote me which just showed me that he cares. Â everyone here is great & i enjoyed my visit. Â most importantly- my boyfriend felt comfortable here & he usually doesn't with other artists. Â i definitely will be returning in the future.
PS sorry my boyfriend made a smelly poop in your bathroom.
Great little tattoo shop! i got a tattoo by Steve, he did an amazing job i pretty much told him what i wanted and he drew it out for me, i love it, im still waiting on my second session with him (tattoos aren't cheap) and i cant wait. i have so many ideas for future work and i know who i will be going to. the shop is nice good music playing just an over all great atmosphere.
Review Source:I got my first tattoo done here by Alfredo. He was professional, knowledgable and gave me good advice and insight into what to expect during the process. Overall, this was an extremely positive experience for me. I came to Alfredo with an idea I had and he made it so beautiful and it was so much more vivid than I could have anticipated. I got some really gorgeous flowers done on my back and I get compliments on them all the time. He's really a fantastic artist with a lot of vision. I don't mean to gush but he really made my experience a good one, and he is just a great guy and he's easy to talk to, which is really nice when you're going to spend a long time there, getting work done.
Everyone at Legacy contributed to making my experience so positive. There's no attitude here or judgement. All the employees were respectful and amusing and there's someone here to suit everyone's needs and particular style. I would never go anywhere else if I wanted to get another tattoo.
Jackson is an amazing artist! He did a cover up for me years ago after impulsively going and getting a bad tattoo, and I will never go to another artist besides him!! He does such amazing work, it is incredible.. I can not go out in public without people asking me where I get my work done, and I am SO proud of it and want everyone to know! So if you are thinking about getting a tattoo, legacy is the place!!!
Review Source:I came to Legacy because my wife went here and was absolutely thrilled with her tattoo, and it was good, clean work. Â When I got there, the place was hopping.. Â I was greeted as soon as the busy folk had a chance, and spoke with Jackson first. Â Asking for a shellback tattoo, Jackson immediately knew what I was talking about! Â He gave me flash books to peruse, I found exactly what I wanted, and Jackson had it on me by 7pm that night. Â The lines are clean, the shading perfect, and was exactly what I wanted. Â Whenever I need new ink, I will be heading back to Jackson!
Review Source:Brought in an image last week that I wanted to have customized for a mom-tribute tattoo, and ended up talking to Branden. I got very lucky because he was able to create exactly what I wanted and gave some very useful insights/adjustments to the design. My actual appointment was today and I am quite grateful to have had him as my artist. Not only was he very pleasant and thoughtful person to talk with, I LOVE my new ink!! Branden is awesome. Â Went here with my best friend with the idea of matching peacock feathers. We had about 57 random obscure pictures that we sort of liked, but weren't totally sure about. Â We talked to Branden for about 10 minutes and made our appointment. Branden gave constructive criticism about the placement I wanted, talked to us about the style, how it would look on our skin and I REALLY appreciated that. Â I knew he wasn't just going to give me a tattoo to get my money, or else he wouldn't have said anything at all. Â I was really skeptical that I was not going to like the design and probably chicken out because I couldn't find a picture that was exactly what I wanted. Â
We went in on our appointment day, and the picture that he drew up was even better than I could have imagined. Â Needless to say I did not chicken out, and though I am a HUGE wuss, he talked me through it, even made jokes and got my mind off of the pain. Â Awesome!

This shop is clean, nice and has a great lay out. The staff is friendly and they do great work! Branden is amazing -- he's done a lot of work on my friends and he's done two pieces on me (so far!) His work is clean, his drawings are better than I could have pictured when I describe what I want, and he works fast. His traditional, Japanese style, and portraits are all amazing.
They have tons of flash work all over the walls as well as great artist portfolios so you can choose an artist that fits what you're looking for.
There's a small parking lot so you don't have to worry about on street parking while you're getting work done. Great place, I'd definitely recommend it.
Thank you Jackson!!! I got my first Tattoo on Friday which was my birthday gift to me...it turned out GREAT! I came in back in November with a basic design and Jackson created a work of art! He is so talented and every time I look at my tat I am blown away. This is definitely the place to go if you want a great piece and to be treated kindly.
03/01/2013 Second piece done and it is AWESOME!!! Â Once again Jackson blows my mind. Â From an idea to a work of art...AMAZING. Â My buddy had background done to his existing piece and was VERY pleased with what Shrek came up with. Â Definitely a GREAT shop...clean, inviting, and a great group of people!!!
I originally went to Sub Q to get a few piercngs, but since it was Sunday their piercer was out of the office so they were nice enough to call Katrina and see if she was in at Legacy.
I arrived a few minutes before she did and the employees who were there were very friendly and talkative. Upon her arrival she set up and we went to her station were she proceeded to mark out where the piercings were going to go and after some discussion between the two of us it was decided the areas looked perfect.
She is highly talented, professional and very pretty. Legacy has quite a gem on their hands with her and I would recomend this place for your next piercing.
Oh Ya, the price was reasonable as well.
I have been to many shops in Sacramento, Reno, Salt Lake City and Coeur d'alene Idaho, judging the rest of the shop from what I saw I would be interested in possibly getting some ink done there as well.
My boyfriend's birthday was on a Sunday, and I decided that I would finally buy him the chest-piece he had been wanting and wanting and wanting for so long. After running all around Sacramento, we stumbled upon Legacy, we went there because it was (a) open on a Sunday and (b) had some really legit looking artwork & artists.
Turns out we made a great stumble!! The artist that did my boyfriend's work -- Eric -- was super cool, and helped us get the tattoo all sorted out before he started drilling. We had brought in a line of text that I had drawn out, and Eric helped curve it and clean it up.
Halfway through the tattoo everybody stepped outside for a cigarette, and all the artist at Legacy commented on my boyfriend's other tattoos. Every other artist except for the guys at Legacy had been really upset/judgmental/mean when they find out that my boyfriend was an aspiring artist and did his own tattoos. Eric & the gang said it was really brave, and didn't judge him at all, and complimented some of his work.
After all was said and done, the tattoo came out very clean, and Eric even threw in some white and grey highlights to make the black text really pop. No lines fell out, and only one or two letters on his collar bone needed to be touched up.
Great shop! Great work! Great art! Great dudes!!!!
This place is great. Â I did a lot of research and Legacy was where I decided to get my first tattoo done. I I went in hoping to get a consult done and the make an appointment for another day. Â I not only got the consult but once the artist Eric was done with his sketch I was able to immediately get the artwork done. Â
 The place is clean and looks great.  The staff is welcoming and helpful.  My piece was done by Eric and his work was outstanding.  I keep getting compliments on how clean it looks now that it is healed.  I've had several people think it was fake because Eric did such a precise job.  Well Done!! Â
I plan on getting more work done and Legacy is where I will be going...Unless Eric leaves of course.
I've gotten 4 tattoos from this shop- 2 of which the owner, Jackson did custom work. I came to him with ideas and he had no problem drawing them out to make them reality. Jackson tattoos 'quickly' and his work never looks rushed. It's amazing! I've gotten tattoo'd at other shops around town and always kinda wished afterwards that I would have gone to Legacy instead. Check them out !!
