This place is a rip off and liars!!!! I took my son in there to get one ear piercing and they jump from one price to three. Why would one employee tell your customer one price and then talk to whoever I guess the owner in their language the price gets changed over and over again. The pice started off at $25 and went up to $40 then back down to $35. The real price was the first quote. who in their right mind is going to pay for something higher than what its suppose to be? I know they are not.hEho runs a business like that nobody but people who are CROOKS!!!!!!! I will NEVER go there again!!!!! THEY ARE CROOKS WHO TRY TO GET OVER!!!!!!!!!
Review Source:On one hand, the glass in this place seems to be almost entirely Chinese or Indian blown stuff, which is both overpriced and less than stellar quality. I really encourage people to seek out American or European glass, you'll pay 15% more for a piece which was actually made with care, with high quality tubing which has been properly annealed. If you want real heady stuff, head to Berkeley, Oakland or SF.
Edit: someone messaged me to inform me that they have some American glass, although I didn't see a tremendous amount of obvious, heady stuff when I was there last.
Their vaporizer section is well stocked and has all the big players at prices which were very reasonable. They also have an excellent selection of papers, and sell a 300 pack of RAWs for a measly 5 dollars. And that's just great.
I once saw a staff member doing something ridiculously shady and will leave it at that.
I go hear from from time to time whenever I need tobacco for my hookah. reasons this place gets a solid four stars:
- huge collection of not only glass but also hookahs and accessories
- roomy, clean, and well organized
- the folks are work there really take care of their customers in a respectable manner (try going to a smoke shop in SF)
the piercing and ink shop are somewhat out of place for my taste, but doesn't really take away anything from the place. Â
As for prices, it's pretty reasonable and comparable to most places (except Berkeley smoke shops)
Gotta love the only smoke shop in P Hill!
I went here waaaay back in April 07 (basically right after they opened) and of course I got excited being there wasn't any smoke shops out here and I love to add to my glass collection ;) I bought a few items and then went back a couple weeks later and Sid pierced my Monroe for me, he did a great job. Even weeks and months after he would see me come in and ask how it was healing and everything, which impressed me that he took the time to remember his customers.
Since then when they first opened I always go in for any of my needs. They are super friendly and ready to give you a good deal.
One other thing I like is if you go in just to take a look around they don't closely watch you or bug you to buy anything like they do at some of the shops on the other side of the tunnel.
Highly recommended!
I've been coming here for frequently for almost 3 years! Back when it was pretty much just Sid (the owner) working alone all the time. I've seen their actual smoke shop area expand and it's fully loaded with pretty much anything you need.
I started going their because of glass pipes and hookahs. I've purchased 3 pipes there and they're all good quality, similar to what you'd have to treck out to Berkeley for. They've got a great price range and variety there.
It used to be a pretty empty place when I'd go years ago. More people are in there when I go (good for Sid!) and there's actually a staff now. A taller guy with dark, curlier hair is great. He's got a good, honest interest in what you're looking for and is willing to help you. Sid as well. The others...not the greatest experiences with them.
Their shisha is depleting!! It's so sad. The good flavors are either not in stock or only in the big $20 tubs. (Get Fantasia because all the others are just waayyy too dry.) But despite that, there's still a lot to chose from and they're nice enough to grab whatever you'd like and let you smell and give you honest opinions.
If you're a hookah owner, you definitely need to hit up this place, or even Fusion in Antioch. It's a family business! Sid's nephew is just as helpful as his uncle.
