I came to Lucky after a friend of mine got a simple tattoo done there and recommended it to me. I went in to get a small tattoo touched up and it was $30 which is pretty reasonable but the guy going over it missed a line on the word. In all fairness, I didn't realize at first either. The guys working there are all really cool and friendly but not the most professional. It is South Beach, so "professional" isn't really a word, though. I went back a few months later to get a simple piece which was exactly what I had for asked but some of the ink fell out and I had to go back to get it retouched where they did it for free. When I got it, it was $50, so again very reasonable but the owner or manager or whomever literally rolled his eyes at me for paying so little. (I'm not a tourist- I know how much it should ACTUALLY be!) It's a place I would trust to go to for very simple, simple, simple tattoos. I know several people who got tattoos here when they were underaged with alternative forms of ID that didn't have their birthdays but implied that they were over 18. All in all it's an okay shop but not for the faint at heart.
Review Source:Received a tattoo there from Lucky. He was very rude and ultimately did a horrible job on my tribal outline. If I had not stopped him to correct his placement of the sketches, Â the whole project would have been ruined. I ended up getting it filled in somewhere else and although they were able to fix some of it, remnants of the hack-job that Lucky performed on me can still be seen. It is depressing. He did a disservice to me and the tattoo community as a whole.
