Got a tattoo here, it ended up looking nothing like the drawing I brought in (angles were rounded and lines were not kept the way they were supposed to). Very disappointed, had to go elsewhere to get it covered up.

I don't know of many tattoo shops that hold benefits, let alone benefits for organizations like Girls Rock Philly. How neat is that??

Last week, Troy Souders gave me a HUMONGOUS thigh piece and it is (for the most part) healed up. It took five hours and it's my first colorful/large tattoo. Five hours on a table is a long time, but Troy worked through it, telling me what was going on the whole time. He's the best, please review his portfolio, from the shop's website, available below. http://philadelphiaeddie…

HE HAS A CYBERMAN TATTOO IN THERE, Y'ALL. OH EM GEE.

I've had strangers come up to me and ask if the tattoo is new and compliment the pastels, the shading, how things are positioned and so on and so forth. It is easy to become evangelical about him, insisting that all of my friends (and a lot of strangers) to seek him out. It's my hope that he becomes famous so that my leg can be in a museum one day.

In adult yelpy seriousness, tattoos are what you make of them. You pay for what you get and if you don't research before hand you will end up with a gauche pink moon on the back of your neck at the ripe age of 19.

The Internet said great things about Troy, my friends adore him and the shop girl told me about him being The Best. After hearing great things from friends, I was obviously stoked to get the tattoo. Getting to the shop and having (what could have been five VERY long hours) turn into a delightful series of conversations, with a wonderful person, it's obvious I need a new job to facilitate cover-ering up that pink moon. In addition to everything else that I want drawn on me.

So about a year ago, I ventured into South Street looking to get my 4th tattoo (all little and discrete), I was irritated by long waits and a terrible sketch of a quote I wanted. So finally the stars aligned, I found the perfect quote, no wait, and a professional tattoo artist with no complaints of my simple quote and font style.

Paolo was professional, helpful and courteous. He was probably a little disappointed he couldn't apply his own artistic styling to my quote, but he respected my request and even let me use their computer to find the font style I wanted.

Clean shop, cool art on the walls, and conveniently located in Chinatown, I got some grub right after :)

It's been about a week and a half since I got it done and practically healed.

Definitely recommended and if I have another itch, I would definitely go to Paolo!

This place is incredible. We tried to get a quote on a small sanskrit tattoo in Old City and South St. and they were all charging us 200+. At Eddies, we met Joe Leonard and he only charged us $80!!! He's honestly the nicest tattoo artist in the world and we'd recommend him to anyone. he did such a great job and he was so nice to talk to too.

    definitely would come here again.

I've had Joe Leonard do two pieces on me in the last year. The first piece was a "Friday the 13th" special; it was a Devil's head and it came out great!

The second piece was to tie in the Devil's head and a piece I already had further down on the same arm, I asked Joe to come up with an idea and within a week he was able to ink on the addition, the addition is still healing but I won't hesitate to return to Joe if I decide to fill in any of my bare skin in the future.

I have been seeing Braden at this shop for a little over a year now. He is absolutely wonderful, and an extremely talented artist. I am ecstatic with the work I have received, and will definitely continue to accumulate more!

As for the staff and shop itself - extremely clean, and everyone is very courteous and friendly. I would say that the name alone speaks for itself. Prestigious, and professional. My go to shop indeed!

I have gotten almost all of my tattoos done by Brad here. I LOVE THEM! He's fantastic with coloring, and even did some freehand work on one of my tattoos (I changed my mind about something last minute and he just went with it so well!) my boyfriend also goes here and gets all of his black/grey tattoos done by Dave! Best place in this city.

Way too expensive. Tried to charged me $300 for an outline and a few words! then didn't even spend more than 10 minutes on it and did a terrible job. Would never go back here, and would never recommend this place to anyone.

I was really satisfied with this Tattoo Shop. I had no idea walking in what kind of atmosphere it would be. My usual tattoo shop is near Binghampton, NY. However, I had a tattoo in mind and a friend recommended me to Dave, one of the tattoo artists. He was awesome-thought he was really cool and respectful. He was the only artist there at the time, so I can't say much for anyone else that works there, but I will absolutely come back. He had the tattoo finished and bandaged within 30 minutes! Best of all, I'm really happy with the outcome. I will go back, absolutely!
