My sister and I went here to celebrate her birthday with a henna tattoo. Â Selena did our ankles and Gulzar (I guess) did my sister's shoulder. Â The ankles are great and the shoulder is a beautiful design but not quite dark enough. Â They have some fun things to purchase which also makes it more fun.
I am giving it a 4 because it was a bit disorganized at the beginning. Â However, I would definitely go again.
Fantastic experience. Gulzar is a lovely person, took her time and did a great job. I live in Del Mar and have been making the trek over to Dolly's in Black Mountain or Hillcrest. No more! Whereas Dolly's now has an assembly line feel, at Raanya the attention is personal and the work is perfect.
If only they did sugaring for my naughty bits...

Seemed like everyone had to make the drive over to Black Mtn Rd to tame those unruly brows and nether regions...so when I heard this little shop opening up very close to where I live, I had to go check it out. I have been going over a year now, and I have to say it is a very cute and pleasant place (versus barber-shop functional). Every time I have gone in, there was only one girl available to do brows, but she does a good job at it, taking her time. Of the 10 or so times I have gone, I had to only wait maybe 2x. I think most people make appts. Â They were a touch (talking a buck or 2) more expensive than where I used to go, but it saved me a big drive and a certain wait for walk in brows. Â I only wished Raanya did waxes too!
Review Source:I first found Raanya when I drove a friend to get some henna work done and decided to try getting my eyebrows threaded here. The women are very nice and do an excellent job shaping my brows. It is a little bit pricey for a college student's budget ($14 for eyebrows) BUT they do a great job, have a very clean salon and accept credit card. Plus they have a 10% discount for students and a rewards system. I am a regular and would definitely recommend it, you get what you pay for!
Review Source:I found Rannya Eyebrown Threading in Del Mar through 'Yelp' over one year ago and I am a dedicated customer. The salon is very calm and welcoming as are the staff. My experiences here are great, I call in for an appointment and almost always can get a same day appointment. Most recenty I called in 25 minutes before closing and Gulzar was able to fit me in. The pricing is very fair, the location is perfect (for me) and I leave with perfect eyebrows everytime!! I highly recommend Raanya Eyebrow Threading for all your facial needs!

I went to Raanya because it was the closest one to my house and had good reviews. I went there afterwork and was able to get my eyebrows and lip done. Review Source:This was my first experience with eyebrow threading. I had heard before that it does not leave you red after and was told this at my appointment, but my eyebrows were red after for about an hour. However, she did a great job and my eyebrows look exactly like I want them too! I also liked how she was concerned about my comfort during the threading.
The staff (the lady who did my eyebrows did not introduce herself so I don't know who she was- I noticed that other reviews mentioned this as well so it was nice to know I wasn't the only one) was very friendly. However, when I came in she appeared to have not known about my appointment (even though I had spoken on the phone with them twice that morning) and told me it would be a 10 minute wait. I actually had to wait 15 minutes before I was seen. I was disappointed seeing as other reviews talked about how you could get in and out in 15 minutes and I had to wait that long past my appointment time.
Additionally, I thought that the she was a little over zealous about talking about other areas that could be lasered or threaded. I did NOT appreciate this and even though I changed the subject and said I had already looked into it, she kept on the subject. I did not like that at all. It made me very uncomfortable and indecisive about returning. I do not want to be judged for my choices. I wanted her to do my eyebrows and that was it. When I said that the subject should have been closed!
I usually go to Super Brows in Grossmont Center, but was looking for a quick cleanup near work....surprisingly, this was the only threading service in the Del Mar area! Â With all the 5 star reviews, I thought it couldn't hurt to give them a try.
I called for an appointment, and they were able to take me right away (1:30pm Wednesday). Â I got lucky with a parking spot right in front of the store (parking along Camino Del Mar can be tricky). Â I was in and out in 10-15 minutes. Â She (Sheri, I think - at least that's what the receipt says!) did an excellent job - very gentle - and she dabbed aloe on my brows to make sure my face was in tact before heading back to work :)
She signed me up for the (free) rewards system, where they keep tracking of each dollar spent + you earn freebies.
The eyebrow threading was $14 (Super Brows charges $10, but this is still cheaper than waxing!).

The place was clean, the ambience was nice. The ladies were extremely helpful, courteous and welcoming. I got my eyebrows threaded, and she did a great job! (She didn't introduce herself, I wish she would have so that when I make an appointment I know who to ask for) Overall great experience, and I am looking forward to becoming a loyal customer.
Review Source:This is the first time I've done threading and I love it! I love the way it left my skin feeling after it's done. It's been 3 weeks and I haven't need a retouch. I was nervous at the beginning but the woman made me feel relaxed and it was done in less than a few minutes.

This is a beautiful threading studio. Del Mar has needed a threading boutique for awhile. They are extremely professional and pleasant and clean. I found them as I was driving down the 101 yesterday. Gulzar did my eyebrows and I love them. The shape is perfect and she was very meticulous and careful. She didn't rush and made sure to take her time to make them perfect. This studio is located right on 101 a few blocks after 15th Street in Del Mar if you are going south. I would recommend anyone looking to get threading done to come here. It's a convenient location to North County, Del Mar, La Jolla etc. There is parking right in front. I saw pictures of the henna they did and it's beautiful. It's important to support our local businesses and I hope everyone that needs threading done will come here.

They were so gentle when threading in comparison to other places where they threaded in a hurry and made it painful. They explained to me the benefits of threading and made sure I was comfortable at all times. I would recommend this place to anyone who wants good service and attention to detail :) If I had more time, I would have even gotten a henna tattoo done because after I saw one of the customer's "tattoo" while I was there, I was impressed! Review Source:This is the first Henna tattoo that I have ever received and I was so happy with the results! The women working were so nice and really took the time to help me pick out a beautiful piece that was in my price range. I really loved how I picked out an example piece, but the girl who did the artwork put her own special touch to it and gave me a one of a kind tattoo! She really took her time and was proud to share her tradition with me.
Through my experience with Raanya I also gained some valuable knowledge about Henna. The Henna Raanya uses is authentic and all natural. If you receive a Henna tattoo that is not applied with natural Henna, such as died or colored Henna, Â your skin can break out into red blisters. The color left by my tattoo after it had dried and the stained skin was revealed, was a beautiful, rustic, earthy tone of dark orange-ish brown. It is not a common color and the artwork was amazing!
The piece brought so much happiness to me and I am definitely going to get more Henna Tattoos here in the future!
I've done threading and waxing before, and Raanya gave me the best experience I've had with any eyebrow grooming place of either kind. The staff is friendly, my results were great, and the atmosphere was lovely!
The woman who did my eyebrows was careful and gave me some peace of mind by talking with me about the shape beforehand. It had been a long time since I'd had my brows waxed or threaded because I was trying to fix some uneven plucking I'd done. I was afraid it would hurt more for that reason, but it was fine! She even helped me understand where and how to grow it back, which was really helpful.
I live a little far away, but the drive was totally worth it! I joined their free loyalty program, will be back, and will recommend it to friends.
I was driving to my normal eyebrow threading place (Beauty By Dolly) when I got stuck in traffic, it was getting late, and NEEDED to get them done ASAP. I yelped "eyebrow threading" nearby and came across Raanya. I must say, i felt right at home when I entered this salon. The staff was so nice and I instantly felt comfortable. I would definitely recommended this place, and will definitely be back! I even created this yelp account just so I could give them a positive review - I liked them that much! However, the person who worked on me was very friendly and showed exactly how much pain there would be by threading on my hand (no pain at all- except a pinch or two). When she was done and I got to look at the mirror, I was ecstatic, my eyebrows looked perfect and there was no hair in sight on my upper lip. I will definitively go back here. The workers are friendly, and the service is great. My mom was with me, and after seeing their work, she said she'd be back to get hers done.

Review Source:This was my first time getting my eyebrows threaded and it was a good experience. I usually pluck my eyebrows but i decided to let them grow out for 5 days so that i can get them threaded at Raanya. It was very nice not having to deal with plucking every individual hair myself when I got threaded. It didn't hurt much. It  only hurt a little in the spots where I don't normally tweeze but it wasn't bad. WAYYY better than waxing. And it was only $5!!! The staff was super friendly and the salon was nice and comfortable. When my eyebrows were finished, cooling gel was applied and eyebrow makeup was even applied. How nice! I will be coming back sometime :)
